Chapter 56: Seen Before

"I seem to have seen that person before. Could it be in a dream..." The man ignored his subordinate's questioning and muttered to himself. He then slowly turned and stared at Mu Hanyan's back, never taking his eyes off her. The man, dressed in black, with intricate golden patterns on the sleeves and hems, looked both ancient and ethereal. He was clearly someone of considerable stature.

Even more astonishing was his face, so handsome he looked like a fallen immortal, with long eyebrows reaching his temples, deep eyes like the night sky that seemed to draw you in, and a high nose beneath thin lips that seemed to define and sensually define you. His every move was indescribably graceful, and even a single turn of his body was enough to make you feel so unparalleled and unable to look away.

He raised his head slightly, looking in the direction where Mu Hanyan had left, and remained silent for a long time. After a long while, his lips curled up slightly, and his voice was like the cold moonlight, or like a thousand-year-old cold spring, which made the listener's heart tremble. He said softly, "Forget it, I'll see you next time."

The subordinates behind him looked at each other in shock when they heard their master's words. What was the master talking about? What did it mean to have seen him before? What did it mean to have seen him in a dream? Such cheesy chatter, they would never believe it came from their master's mouth! And, and! This was the first time the exiled immortal master paid too much attention to someone, but this person turned out to be a playboy. The problem was, that playboy was a man! Even if the playboy was good-looking, he was still a man.

Although their strength was far inferior to that of the adults, they were still strong enough to dominate Black Stone City. Naturally, they heard the sarcasm directed at Mu Hanyan from a distance. They also learned that the gentle-looking young man was the eldest son of the Black Stone City Lord, Mu Dawanku. They had done some research before coming to Black Stone City.

Everyone was bewildered. This exiled immortal had actually paid a bit of attention to someone for the first time. Furthermore, that person was Blackrock City's notorious playboy and loser, Mu Hanyan. Of course, they didn't really think the master would be interested in a man. So, what was wrong with the master?

Although everyone had many questions in their minds, no one dared to ask.

Mu Hanyan didn't notice the movement behind her, but continued walking and thinking, all the way back to the City Lord's Mansion.

It was not until she returned to the Mu Mansion that Mu Hanyan's excitement gradually subsided and she began to ponder another question: why did this mysterious astrological compass appear on her body, and why did it bring her such an amazing improvement in strength?

A face that was once incredibly familiar and intimate, yet now brought back the most painful memories, appeared before her eyes. Fen Qianji! Could it be that all this was related to him?

The past scenes emerged before her eyes, the life and death they had shared, the ruthless betrayal she had experienced, making it difficult for her to breathe and her heart aching.

"Forget it, I won't think about it anymore. What's coming will come again, and one day I'll find the answer." Having lived two lives, Mu Hanyan has experienced far more joys and sorrows than her peers, and her character is much more mature. She never frets over things she can't figure out, and quickly puts her doubts behind her. The situation she now faces doesn't allow her to dwell on memories, or waste time in self-pity. She still has a lot to plan for, a lot to change.
