Mu Hanyan took the sword again, concentrated her mind and looked inside it. She was surprised to find that the sword body seemed to be under some kind of restriction, and even her mind could not penetrate into it. It was for this reason that she failed to notice the strangeness in it at first glance.
It's a bit strange! Although she didn't know what secrets were hidden in this sword, Mu Hanyan knew that Han Jinglun didn't buy this sword because he had a narrow vision. On the contrary, he bought it because he saw something strange in it.
Even that hesitation from earlier was probably an act. He didn't want to offer too readily, causing the vendor to notice something was amiss, nor did he seem so disinterested that he wouldn't even be in the mood to bargain. Had he found a bargain? A big one, at that?
After trying several times, Mu Hanyan still couldn't penetrate her spiritual sense into it. She knew that the restriction was much more powerful than she had expected. Full of doubts, she returned the sword to Han Jinglun.
"No need. I bought this sword as a gift for Mr. Mu. Please accept it." Han Jinglun waved his hand and said with a smile.
(The Thanksgiving event is over, waiting for the administrators to tally the results. Next up are Christmas and New Year's Day. So we're planning a double egg event. Here's a sneak peek: there are a lot of prizes! First prize: five adorable pillows, second prize: eight 1,300-gram snack packs, and third prize: a cash bonus envelope. I'll see if I can find a way to post pictures of the prizes in the book review section. Keep an eye on the book review section next week; I'll let you know in the post and in the group chat when the event starts. Ahhh, I forgot to howl, begging for monthly passes and recommendation votes.)
