A soft, twin-tailed kitten snuggled into his arms, its docile and harmless appearance leaving the boy somewhat flustered.
All vigilance vanished the moment the kitten looked up, instantly disappearing into its teary eyes.
This strange little animal had just saved him, and it looked so soft, cute, and harmless that he really shouldn't have any doubts about it.
The boy completely forgot how that soft, cute, and harmless kitten had just killed the monster with a single paw, a monster he couldn't even pierce with his sword despite his best efforts.
However, the current situation doesn't allow them much time to spend together and develop a relationship.
A constant stream of monsters continued to climb up from the seabed. The monster that the kitten had just killed was swarmed and devoured by the other monsters around it.
That's why they were given such a short time to look at each other.
After the other monsters devoured the flesh and blood of the monster killed by the kitten, their bodies suddenly grew even larger, and they roared as they pounced on the boy.
"Junior Brother Yu, don't force yourself," Senior Brother Li shouted from behind. "Quickly step back."

The boy picked up the mysterious kitten and retreated to the rest camp.

Senior Brother Li took his sword and held the gap in place for him.
Ruoruo could feel her older brother's left hand trembling as he held her, and her heart ached terribly. She wanted to reach out and help Mo Wuyu heal his wounds, but she was afraid that she would do too much and make a mistake.
She remembered her father's words: unless Mo Wuyu was in a life-or-death crisis, facing annihilation, she must not intervene.
Ruoruo looked at Mo Wuyu with some trepidation. She had been forced to take action to save her brother, revealing her strength. What if her brother asked her for help again later?
If she doesn't take action, her brother will definitely suspect her, since he doesn't even remember her anymore.

Mo Wuyu took a handkerchief and wiped the dirt off the kitten's pink paws.
"The formation is about to be completed! Everyone retreat!" A stern shout came from above.
Ruoruo Cat looked up and saw several white-haired, youthful-looking old men in the sky, their hands forming a series of hand seals, each holding a spiritual weapon, and using each other as array points to set up a sealing array.
The array eye at the center of the formation is nothing more than a magic weapon, not even a profound artifact.
"This formation is too weak," Ruoruo Cat couldn't help but bite her paw, her expression showing a hint of worry.
The monsters that climbed up here were all nameless, low-ranking monsters. It was probably just a passage connecting to the rural areas of the demon realm, which became a grazing ground for those rural demons.
This low-level formation has a sealing effect, but it's not very effective. It probably won't last long before it breaks again. And to make this formation work, some of those elders will probably have to pay the price with their lives.
But... she couldn't interfere... Ruoruo lowered her head in disappointment and buried herself in Mo Wuyu's arms, unable to bear to look any longer.
Mo Wuyu assumed the kitten was frightened. With a soft look in his eyes, he reached out and covered the kitten's ears, protecting it tightly. Holding the kitten, he stumbled and retreated quickly with the crowd, sword in hand.
"Formation complete!" The old man holding the magical weapon shouted, spitting a mouthful of blood onto the weapon, which, along with the formation, was used to suppress the seabed fissure.
"Elder Lin..." A disciple's eyes reddened, and he lowered his head and sobbed softly.
“The gap has been sealed, it’s sealed…” One of the disciples who survived the ordeal burst into tears, clutching his head.
Mo Wuyu simply looked at them indifferently, his eyes showing neither sorrow nor joy.
"Junior Brother Wuyu," the girl called out in a clear but weak voice.
Ruoruo curiously raised her head, looked at the girl whose face was completely pale, and forced a smile at her brother: "Thank you for saving me just now. When I return to the sect, I will definitely tell my father and ask him to thank you for saving my life."
Mo Wuyu took a step back without making any comment.
"You're mute, not deaf. Your junior sister is talking to you, didn't you hear her?" the young man said with jealousy in his eyes.
This mute guy must have had some incredible luck to save the sect leader's own daughter's life. Who is he trying to impress with this arrogant attitude?
"Senior Brother Cheng, Junior Brother Wuyu is just a bit introverted." The girl frowned slightly. "I have something to say to Junior Brother Wuyu. Could you please go away a bit?"
