Chapter 119 The Calamity of Extermination

"Welcome, Your Majesty." The crowd knelt down respectfully to pay their respects. After being called to their feet by the Underworld Lord, they looked left and right but did not see any alchemists.

An elderly man with white hair stepped forward and bowed deeply: "May I ask Your Majesty, where is the alchemist we have been waiting for?"

The Underworld Lord smiled and picked up the kitten in his arms, swinging it in mid-air: "Here, this is the alchemist I was talking about."

The scene fell into a deathly silence.

All eyes were fixed on the little kitten being held by the scruff of its neck and the fluffy bird cub perched on its head.

The old man gave a dry laugh and said, "Your Majesty, please don't joke with this old minister..."

"You senile old fool, you don't know anything about things." The Underworld Lord loosened his grip and released the kitten.

Ruoruo transformed back into human form as soon as she landed. The lovely little girl had a blue grass and tree rune between her eyebrows, clearly a sign of entering the Dao through alchemy.

"This little girl is actually at the Golden Immortal level." Some of the more perceptive alchemists immediately noticed the anomaly.

"Could it be that she, like the Emperor, will remain forever young?" another alchemist blurted out.

His companion quickly covered his mouth, saying, "Don't talk nonsense!"

Everyone knows that the King of the Underworld hates it most when someone says the word "child" in front of him.

The Underworld Lord glanced lightly at the two alchemists. Since he hadn't spoken yet, he didn't react. Instead, he smiled like a lively and adorable ordinary boy: "Just say what you have to say."

The two alchemists knelt down with a thud, their faces ashen and their bodies trembling: "Your Majesty, I was just wondering how old this young alchemist really is."

"Let me introduce you to the alchemist I brought back. Her name is Yan Ruoruo. She entered the path of alchemy at the age of three and a half and reached the Golden Immortal realm at the age of five. She is a little princess of the Immortal Realm. It is said that she has mastered a brand-new method of alchemy and has a contract with the divine artifact Kunlun Sword."

He had been keeping an eye on Ruoruo for a long time and had thoroughly investigated her background.

These alchemists naturally knew a bit about alchemy geniuses from all walks of life, and Yan Ruoruo was undoubtedly the most outstanding among the new generation.

The gazes that fell on Ruoruo instantly changed from doubt to fervor.

Ruoruo glanced around, then turned and asked bluntly, "Didn't you send me to rescue someone? Where is the person who needs rescuing?"

Anyway, she figured out that this person urgently needed her help, so as long as she agreed to help, no matter what she did, this person wouldn't be too angry.

"I'll take you to see it now." The Underworld Lord took the initiative to step forward and take Ruoruo's hand.

Ruoruo took a step back with her hands behind her back, pouting, "I won't let you hold my hand unless you take the collar off my neck."

Hades sighed regretfully, "Then let's not lead you by the hand. You can follow along on your own."

Actually, this little girl's hands are soft and quite easy to squeeze.

However, the collar around her neck must not be removed under any circumstances; it is his most important means of ensuring that the little girl cannot escape from his side.

Ruoruo snorted unhappily and followed Mingjun outside.

The other alchemists were not at all surprised that Ruoruo dared to speak to the Underworld Lord in such a manner.

Back when the Underworld King recruited them, he was just as tolerant.

But once it's confirmed that the person has no further use, they'll settle scores later. Those who are standing here now are the ones who remain clear-headed despite all the flattery.

Those alchemists who acted recklessly because of the emperor's indulgence, but ultimately failed to come up with any useful methods, have long since turned into ashes in the alchemy furnace.

This young girl is so arrogant now; if we can't come up with any useful methods, this genius of alchemy will probably perish here.

Some alchemists shook their heads regretfully, but no one stepped forward to offer any advice.

The Underworld King is currently in high spirits; only someone who doesn't value their life would dare to disturb his enjoyment.

Saving my own life is the most important thing; I don't have time to care about others.

Although Ruoruo didn't know about the alchemists of the past, she clearly understood that Mingjun was a completely unpredictable madman.

If you cut off his arm when you're in a good mood, he'll just laugh it off; if you touch the hem of his clothes when you're in a bad mood, he might kill you.

However, Ruoruo is now taking advantage of the fact that the other party needs her help, and she is also feeling uncomfortable because she is being coerced, so she is throwing a tantrum.

The Underworld King took her directly to a palace not far away.

As soon as she stepped into the palace, Ruoruo's face turned pale from the pungent miasma.

Mo Jinyan's eyes welled up with tiny circles, and he collapsed headfirst.

Kunlun immediately floated in mid-air and slashed down with her sword, dispelling the miasma around her. Ruoruo put the dizzy Mo Jinyan in her arms and fed him a pill.

He also took a pill, and only then could he barely stand still, staring in horror at the scene inside the hall.

The entire hall was filled with miasma and death. A group of people lay on the ground, groaning in pain. Their arms and feet were semi-transparent, and you could clearly see the gas wrapping around their blood vessels, meridians, and bones through these semi-transparent hands and feet.

"Is this the person you asked me to save?" Ruoruo asked.

Then she turned around and saw that the other alchemists were all wearing masks with runes engraved on their faces, clearly indicating that they had been prepared in advance.

The Underworld King chuckled: "As expected of the alchemist I personally invited back, he is completely unaffected by the miasma."

Ruoruo then realized that the Underworld King had known all along that she would be harmed by the miasma, but deliberately did not remind her, testing her abilities.

Ruoruo cursed him inwardly as a madman, angrily turned her head away, and didn't want to talk to him anymore.
