Chapter 17: Rescue the Dark Horse

Feng Lao Er said hello to his family and went back to the restaurant. The whole family started strolling on the street.

After walking for a while, I saw a lot of people gathered together. In the middle was a horse that was completely black. It was so thin that it looked unrecognizable, but its skeleton still looked very tall.

Feng Laosi came forward with his daughter in his arms to ask what was going on. A big, bearded man next to him said, "This horse is a famous wild horse in this market. It has been here for half a year and no one has been able to tame it.

It was bought by a young man before, but was kicked and seriously injured by a horse before it even got home."

"Later, the young man's family sold him a horse. He hasn't eaten or drunk anything in the past two weeks and is so thin he's almost dying."

Fengjiu looked at the horse. It didn't look like an ordinary horse, but more like a war horse.

Fengjiu wanted to reach out and touch the horse, but a steward said, "Brother, you'd better stay away from the horse. You're holding a child, be careful not to hurt either of you."

But Fengjiu's hand had already touched the horse's head, and everyone else was sweating coldly, really afraid that the horse would kick them away.

But what did they see? The horse actually rubbed its head against the little girl, and the little girl was not afraid, she even giggled.

The horse snorted, looked particularly excited, and kept neighing at the bottom.

Fengjiu understood what the horse said and asked Fengjiu to save it. It wanted to go find its owner because its owner was in danger.

Feng Jiu patted its head and babbled something to Feng Lao Si. Feng Lao Si said suspiciously, "Nan Nan wants this horse?"

Feng Jiu nodded, Feng Lao Si glanced at Feng Lao Tou, and Feng Lao Tou immediately agreed. If Nannan wanted it, she could buy it.

Everyone else looked at the Feng family as if they were fools. The horse was almost dead, so why buy it? It was so thin that it wouldn't be worth killing it for meat.

A fat steward nearby immediately said that this was a rare Arabian horse, and that it would be good to buy it home and raise it for a few days.

Feng Laosi looked at the manager and asked how much it cost. The manager said the horse cost eighty taels of silver.

Feng Lao Si didn't say anything and left with his daughter in his arms. The manager saw the family leaving and said, "Fifty taels, no less."

Feng Lao Si: "Ten taels of silver."

The manager said that ten taels of silver couldn’t even buy a cow, so how could he buy a horse?

Feng Lao Si: "It's almost dead. Ten taels is already a lot. If you don't sell it, then I don't want it."

The manager was afraid that the horse would not survive, so he gritted his teeth and agreed. In fact, he picked up the horse on the way back from the provincial capital, and he didn't spend any money on it. It would be good if he could sell it for ten taels of silver.

Feng Lao Si took the reins, and the horse became restless. Feng Jiu said with his mind, "You have to be good and obedient. They are all my family, and you are not allowed to bully them."

After that, the horse calmed down and followed behind obediently. Fourth brother Fengyu walked up to his uncle and said, "Uncle, you hold my sister, and I'll lead the horse."

Seeing that the horse didn't seem to be restless, Feng Lao Si handed the reins over. Feng Lao Tai said she was going to buy some cloth for the children. Feng Jiu pulled Feng Lao Tai's clothes and shook her head.

Feng Lao Si understood immediately and took my mother away.

Fengjiu saw a pastry shop and went in with her family. They bought two kilograms of various kinds of pastries.

The waiter was so happy that he smiled from ear to ear. He quickly wrapped it up and handed it over. After paying the money, he left.

The waiter had never seen such a generous guest, so Old Lady Feng was no longer stingy with the money today.

If she had bought six taels of silver worth of cakes at one time in the past, she would never have bought it even if she was beaten to death.

She earned so much money today. What's wrong with her granddaughter wanting to buy some cakes? She wouldn't feel bad about selling the shop.

Feng Laosi took his family to an empty alley and looked around to see that there was no one there.

With a wave of the little hand, more than a dozen pieces of cloth appeared, some of which were cotton, and some were silk.

Old Mrs. Feng asked her family to take the things and left the alley and went straight out of the city.

It just so happened that the village chief and his men were still waiting for them, and the horses were following the ox cart, and the group of people went home in a mighty procession.

When the villagers saw that Old Lady Feng and her family had bought so much cloth, some of the maids asked, "Ping'an family, did you sell any ginseng today? You bought so much cloth, it looks like you made a lot of money."

Old Lady Feng smiled and said, "Yes, sister-in-law, I made some money from selling ginseng today, so I thought of making some new clothes for my family. I haven't made any in a few years, and my grandchildren's clothes are a little too short."

After exchanging a few pleasantries, they went home. No one in the village was jealous, they just envied their family's good luck.

Fengjiu saw that there was no jealousy in the eyes of the villagers. She was also thinking of ways to make money and lead the villagers to make money together.

We got up early in the morning and started our journey. We had nothing to eat and were all excited about having earned some money.

When they got home, everyone looked listless. The aunt was about to go to the kitchen to cook. Fengjiu waved her hand and took out a bunch of hot pot ingredients from the space.

Feng Jiu also took out the instructions she had written. After Feng Lao Si understood it, he and his family started to prepare it. In less than a cup of tea, the family members were sitting around the table eating.

Everyone was eating without even raising their heads, except Fengjiu, who was lying in the cradle, smelling the aroma of the hot pot and drinking the tasteless milk.

Fengjiu has been planning to take her family into the space during this period. She can speak in this space, but she can only babble outside.

In the space, she can float in the sky by herself without being held by her family. How wonderful it is to be free.

After everyone in the family had eaten their fill to their heart's content, Old Man Feng asked Feng Jiu what kind of yard he wanted to build.

Fengjiu thought about it and took out the villa brochure that the salesperson had distributed before. It was an ancient garden-style villa that looked simple and elegant.

The wind and rain corridor, rockery and flowing water, even Old Man Feng was stunned. Can they live in such a beautiful house?

Fengjiu couldn't communicate with her family outside, so she just waved her hand and brought all her family members into the villa.

Before the family could react, they moved to another place, and Fengjiu spoke at this time.

The family looked at Fengjiu, who was only a little over a month old, in shock. Fengjiu explained, "The space is her little world, and she can speak in it."

The family finally relaxed. They saw that the windows were all made of glass. How much silver would that cost? Others also exclaimed that they had never seen such a beautiful house.

Fengjiu said: “I have all these, but my family doesn’t have such a large piece of land.

Grandpa, please go to the village chief and ask if he can sell us all the land next to us."

Old Man Feng: "Nannan, take a look at how much land you want to buy. I'll go ask later."

Fengjiu thought for a moment and said, "Grandpa, let's buy all the land on the left."

Old Man Feng took a deep breath and said, "Nannan, do you know how big this piece of land is? This side is next to the back mountain, and it's more than 50 acres in total. If we buy a piece that big, we won't be able to use it all."

Fengjiu told her grandfather firmly that she wanted to build a super large courtyard house where everyone would have their own yard.

There are eighteen courtyards in total, each with ten rooms, a separate kitchen and bathroom.
