Chapter 137 Witnessing Them Kissing
Shang Wu couldn't help but laugh out loud.
Tang Xueli asked blankly, "What's going on?"
"You go first, I'll go get my necklace."
Shang Wu watched her leave before turning around and going upstairs.
Most of the people at the auction had left.
Several bodyguards surrounded the room door, and when they saw Shang Wu coming, they all automatically stepped aside.
Shang Wu pushed open the door and went in, only to see Lu Rang standing in front of the French windows, holding something in his hand and looking at it, his jawline tense. He looked somewhat unhappy.
What's wrong with you?
She walked over and saw that Lu Rang had several business cards in his hand, as well as a piece of paper with his phone number written on it.
"What's this?"
Lu Rang muttered, "These people who want to chat you up, they say you're smart and they don't dare to approach you, but behind your back they're secretly trying to give you their contact information. It's disgusting."
"Are you angry?" Shang Wu reached out and hooked his finger.
Lu Rang remained calm and composed.
Shang Wu walked around to his front, tiptoed closer to him, and her nose almost touched his collarbone.
"Are you jealous? I didn't ask for their contact information. Besides, didn't you steal them all?"
Her voice still held a playful upward inflection at the end, but her wrist was suddenly grabbed.
Lu Rang's strength wasn't heavy, but it carried an undeniable force as he pulled her closer to his arms.
The next second, my waist tightened.
Lu Rang placed his warm hand on Shang Wu's lower back, pulling her completely towards him.
Their breaths mingled, and his kiss came quickly and deeply, possessive yet restrained, not daring to use too much force. His hands on her waist tightened, as if he wanted to meld her into his very bones, yet he was afraid of hurting her, his fingertips trembling slightly.
Only when Shang Wu was slightly out of breath from the kisses and gently pushed against his chest did he pull back slightly, his forehead pressed against hers, his voice low and husky: "I won't come next time."
Shang Wu gasped for breath: "What?"
“I’m not coming to the auction.” Lu Rang caressed her rosy lips. “I barely looked at any of the items. I was only looking at those men who were so presumptuous as to covet you. What makes them think they’re worthy?”
Shang Wu smiled even more broadly, coaxing, "Okay, okay, I won't let you come next time."
Lu Rang paused for two seconds, then wrapped his arms around her waist even tighter: "We still have to come."
Shang Wu looked up in confusion: "Why?"
"I can't trust anyone else to get close to you."
Lu Rang's tone became even more subdued.
"I'll refuse them, don't you believe me?" Shang Wu raised her hand to wrap around his neck, kissed him on the lips, and smiled, "I won't even look at them, okay?"
Lu Rang stared at her for two seconds, then finally showed a indulgent smile, pinched her waist, and kissed her again.
Suddenly, voices could be heard outside.
"There's no one at the door of this room. Could it be that the young master of the Yu family has already left?"
"I guess so, I haven't seen what's going on inside the private room yet."
Upon hearing this, Shang Wu paused for a moment, then quickly turned her head away to avoid Lu Rang's kiss.
The door was pushed open the next second.
Two spoiled young men walked in laughing, and were stunned to see Shang Wu embracing a handsome man with a cold face.
Lu Rang's posture when holding Shang Wu changed. He held her protectively in his arms, and his eyes instantly turned cold, carrying an undeniable sense of oppression.
"roll."
The two didn't know who it was, but they inexplicably shuddered and ran away without saying a word.
Shang Wu was a little confused.
"What if they say something inappropriate?"
Lu Rang turned her face back and continued kissing her: "That's not important, keep going."
Shang Wu was so stunned by his kiss that she couldn't recover.
Outside the door, several bodyguards checked the entire charity auction venue and only came up after finding no one lingering.
They looked at each other and smiled.
"It was another good day at work. Not a single fly was let in to disturb the young master."
"Yes, we're awesome too."
When Shang Wu came out and heard this, she suppressed a laugh.
Lu Rang then came out and gave them a cold look.
"Deduct wages."
bodyguard:"????"
...
downstairs.
Shang Wu got into the car, leaned on Lu Rang's shoulder, and took out her phone.
Sure enough, those two spoiled brats had already spread the word about what they had just witnessed.
However, the claims about De were so outrageous that when they reached the group chat where Shang Wu was, the information circulating there was completely different from the truth.
[Shang Wu is quite the womanizer; you'd never guess! She hooked up with a man at the auction, and they're currently locked in a passionate kiss in the room where the young master of the Yu family had previously stayed!]
[Shang Wu is really something else. Now that nobody wants her, she's so desperate that she's resorting to randomly seducing men?]
[Hmph, no one wanted her after her breakup, she must be incredibly lonely, right?]
The group discussed it amongst themselves. They used all sorts of harsh words to describe Shang Wu as a sexually frustrated person who would kiss any man she could get her hands on.
The most important thing is that she defiled the young master of the Yu family, and messed around in the room where he had once stayed.
Many people gloated, hoping that the news would reach the ears of the young master of the Yu family and cause him to take his anger out on Shang Wu.
[A woman of questionable character has entered the private room where the young master of the Yu family is staying; she'll definitely try to harm Shang Wu.]
[I have to say, Shang Wu is really audacious. If she really wanted to have some fun with a man, she shouldn't be doing it in the place where the young master of the Yu family stays.]
Shang Wu was somewhat puzzled.
Do these people really not know she's still in the group chat, which is why they're chatting so enthusiastically?
She just punished Su Tingting as a warning to others, but it was all for naught, wasn't it?
Shang Wu typed directly, clearly annoyed.
【Then go ahead and tell the young master of the Yu family if you dare! What are you saying here? I've noted down everyone who spoke ill of me. Tomorrow, your parents will come to my company and lead you to line up and bow and apologize to me! Otherwise, the Shangjia Group will never do business with you again.】
The group chat went silent the moment a message was sent.
Shang Wu turned off her phone and looked up, meeting Lu Rang's ambiguous smile.
She blinked and cupped Lu Rang's face in her hands.
"How's your accounting going? Have you started working on it?"
Lu Rang paused slightly.
"Those accounting matters are easy to resolve. The most troublesome issue is the labor corps at Yu Family Wharf, but there's no rush," Lu Rang said calmly.
"A strike is the most serious thing, especially when it involves import and export goods. We can't be careless. If there's nothing else, I'll go and take a look over there for you."
Shang Wu's tone became serious, "Don't rush to resolve the Yu family's matter."
Upon hearing this, Lu Rang paused for a moment.
Shang Wu took out her phone and showed him the appointment time with the psychologist.
Lu Rang's eyes darkened slightly as he took her hand.
“I don’t necessarily need the intervention of a psychologist. That place just provides me with a place to relieve stress. I still need to get through this on my own, but…”
He pursed his lips: "Sometimes the illness is no longer psychological; it's very possible that it will never be cured."
This is what the experts told him.
He will most likely never be able to completely eliminate the possibility of developing the disease due to the psychological trauma he suffered during his adolescence.
Perhaps he suffered some kind of blow or shock, which plunged him into chaos.
This is a natural bodily reaction.
Shang Wu gently advised, "When you feel stressed or your mental state is not good, you must see a doctor in time. Regardless of whether they can help you get out of the shadow, you said that staying with them is a way to relieve stress."
“No.” Lu Rang looked intently at her. “I feel most at ease when I’m by your side, and I’m least likely to have an attack.”
Shang Wu smiled, pulled him into her arms, and gently patted his chest.
"I will be with you every day from now on."
Lu Rang's gaze deepened, and he pinched her chin, about to kiss her again, when the car stopped.
Shang Wu then tugged at Lu Rang's sleeve and pulled him out of the car with her.
As soon as the two arrived at the apartment entrance, they saw a person standing in front of the door.
Shang Wu paused, somewhat surprised to see Shang Yun Shen.
"Brother, what brings you here so late at night?"
Feeling guilty, she instinctively turned to the side, shielding Lu Rang behind her, forgetting that she was a head shorter than him and couldn't hide him no matter what she did.
Shang Yun Shen stood on the steps, glanced at Lu Rang, and was no longer surprised by his presence here.
Lu Rang was unaware that Shang Yun Shen was well aware that he and Shang Wu had not broken up. He took a step forward, completely blocking Shang Wu from view.
Lu Rang offered a proactive explanation: "It was all my doing that seduced Shang Wu."
As soon as he finished speaking, Shang Yun Shen almost lost his composure and gave Shang Wu a wink, as if to say, "He's probably not an idiot."
Shang Wu quickly tugged at Lu Rang's arm.
“My brother knows everything, I didn’t hide anything from him.”
Lu Rang loosened his grip, nodded slightly to Shang Yun Shen, and said, "Brother Yun Shen."
Shang Yun Shen nodded politely and said gently, "It's so late. Are you just bringing her back, or are you going to stay here with her?"
Lu Rang immediately explained, "After I send her back, I will go back to my own home. Don't worry, before we get married, I will respect her wishes. I will never force her to do anything she doesn't want to do."
Shang Yunshen gave him a meaningful look.
"You seem quite confident. How come you're so sure you two will get married?"
"Alright, come in."
He turned to the side, gesturing for the two to come in and talk.
Shang Wu knew that her brother wouldn't easily bother her so late unless something had happened.
Once inside, Shang Yun Shen indeed adopted a serious demeanor.
"After I got off work today, I received a call from the company saying that the company's legal department had hired someone."
Shang Wu was taken aback for a moment, then asked curiously, "Who?"
"It's Lu Wuwei, a lawyer who used to work at Jinshui Law Firm."
Upon hearing this person's name, both Shang Wu and Lu Rang paused for a moment.
Shang Wu didn't understand.
Wasn't Lu Wuwei already beyond redemption after Zhou Yanci's machinations? I heard he even went to jail.
How could someone suddenly come to apply for the group's legal counsel position?
She asked, "Have you checked whether he is qualified to work as a corporate legal counsel?"
“I looked at his resume, it was clean and without any problems, but now there’s a problem, and I have to hire him.” Shang Yunshen shrugged.
Shang Wu narrowed her eyes, puzzled, and asked, "What's the problem?"
"First, Zhou Yanci entrusted him to help me with a case. Although it was only on the surface, he did work hard for me for several years. At least on the surface, that's the truth."
"Secondly, there is nothing wrong with his resume. The Jinshui Group has long been wiped out, so there is no reason to keep harping on his past."
"Third, before Lu Wuwei arrived, many reporters knew that this lawyer, whom I had worked hard to handle cases for for several years, was about to join the company. They were all praising me and our entire business for being kind and righteous, and for not forgetting those who had helped us."
"Everyone is putting me in a very difficult position, and now I have no choice but to let Lu Wuwei work in our company."
Shang Wu crossed her arms, leaned back on the sofa, and frowned.
"A down-on-his-luck lawyer couldn't possibly attract the attention of reporters; he must have colluded with them."
Lu Rang nodded slightly: "There are people behind him pushing him forward and supporting him in doing this."
Shang Yun Shen agreed, echoing, "That's what I was thinking too, so I decided to keep him here first to see what he really wants to do."
Shang Wu thought about it and realized that this was probably the only way now.
She nodded: "Then be careful, don't let him take advantage of the situation. I suspect that Lu Wuwei may hold a grudge against me. Keep him by your side, and if he dares to do anything, settle accounts with him directly."
Shang Wu once orchestrated the affair between Lu Wuwei and Shen Mian in order to bring down Jinshui Law Firm and to severely damage Zhou Yanci's reputation, seeing that his former beloved had cheated on him again.
Lu Wuwei couldn't possibly be unaware that she was the one who did everything.
This comeback suggests either he's truly been hit hard by life and has nothing left, so he's desperate to seek refuge with businesses, or he's still plotting something.
Shang Wu personally prefers the latter.
After discussing the matter with her, Shang Yun Shen stood up and raised an eyebrow at Lu Rang.
Aren't you coming? Come with me.
Seeing how wary he was of him, as if afraid that he would stay overnight, Lu Rang smiled slightly and nodded knowingly without saying a word.
The two left together.
Shang Yun Shen got into Lu Rang's car.
Shang Wu stood at the door watching them leave, feeling that their conversation in the car wasn't so simple.
