Chapter 318 I Know You Better Than You

Chapter 318 I Know You Better Than You

"It's time to change the medicine."

The doctor raised his hand and knocked on the door from outside.

Lin Rushang pushed He Tingchen away almost instantly, then hurriedly tidied up her messy hair.

The doctor seemed to be used to it and walked up to He Tingchen as if nothing had happened.

"It's time to change the gauze. You were out last night, so the medicine must have seeped out by now."

He Tingchen cooperated and lay on his bed.

"Excuse me, doctor."

The doctor didn't pull the curtain at first. He raised his hand to help He Tingchen take off his pants. Just as he was about to take them off, He Tingchen grabbed his belt.

"Wait a minute, doctor, please help me draw the curtain."

The doctor couldn't help but want to laugh: "What's the big deal? Aren't you two boyfriend and girlfriend? Why do you have to avoid each other?"

Lin Rushuang didn't say anything. She wished the curtain could be drawn so that she could take a good look at whether there was a scar on the base of He Tingchen's thigh.

I finally had a chance before, but I didn't see it.

He Tingchen covered his mouth and coughed lightly: "My girlfriend is a little bit arrogant. You know my current situation."

His voice was so quiet that only the doctor could hear it.

The doctor was probably shocked when he heard this. He was stunned for a moment, then subconsciously turned his head to look at Lin Rushang.

Lin Rushang met the doctor's strange gaze and asked subconsciously.

"Doctor, is there something wrong?"

The doctor pulled the corners of his lips awkwardly: "Nothing."

Then the doctor pulled the curtain between the two people.

This sudden action confused Lin Rushuang.

What do two people mean?

What did He Tingchen say in front of others just now?

But without thinking, Lin Rushuang knew that it was definitely not a good thing.

However, it is impossible to prevent her from watching, but she can watch it secretly.

Lin Rushang carefully pinched the middle corner of the curtain with her fingers and pulled it outwards, revealing a gap.

What caught her eye were He Tingchen's muscular thighs and smooth leg lines. It was not the first time she admired He Tingchen's side, but she couldn't help but sigh every time.

She had never seen another pair of legs as long as this in the entire Yuncheng.

Lin Rushang shook her head and forced herself to come back to her senses.

Now is not the time to look at legs.

He Tingchen and the doctor didn't seem to notice this. In order to see more clearly, Lin Rushang boldly lifted the curtain a little more.

The doctor was bending over to treat He Tingchen's wound. The wound looked shocking. There were bruises in several places, or a large piece of skin was broken, and blurry flesh and blood could be seen inside.

Lin Rushuang's heart tightened when she saw this.

She only knew that He Tingchen was fighting with Xie Hongzu's men, but she had no idea that he was so seriously injured.

But from the time he was hospitalized until now, He Tingchen hadn't said a word to him.

Lin Rushuang felt a slight soreness in her nose. The doctor then stood to the right, completely exposing the base of He Tingchen's thigh.

She clearly saw the hidden scar. Although it had been a long time, the scar was still there, hideous and terrifying.

Lin Rushuang judged that the scar must have been caused by a serious injury at the time, otherwise it would not be so obvious after such a long time.

Even though Lin Rushang had guessed at the beginning that the person who saved her was He Tingchen, not Li Wenyuan, she was really shocked when this reality was presented so nakedly in front of her.

I still feel a sense of loss.

I thought I had found true love, but who knew it would turn out like this, everything is just a mirage.

The curtain was drawn at this moment, and He Tingchen saw that she looked like she was possessed, her eyes were dull and she was like a wooden fish.

He called her softly: "Sister Lin..."

Lin Rushuang came back to her senses: "Oh, nothing, I was just wondering if you are fit to go to work given the condition of your wound."

The doctor turned his head and said to Lin Rushuang.

"As long as you don't get too worked up and don't do anything drastic, there generally won't be any problems."

"After all, it's just a superficial injury, which is much better than an internal injury."

Lin Rushuang thought about it and it made sense. As for the external injury, it only needed to avoid breaking bones and no major movements.

After the doctor left, He Tingchen stared at Lin Rushuang and asked again.

"What on earth were you thinking about just now?"

Lin Rushuang still said the same thing.

"I didn't think anything of it."

He Tingchen calmly raised his hand and rolled up his sleeves, revealing a small section of his muscular arm.

"Sister Lin, don't force me to use special methods."

Lin Rushuang was really impressed by He Tingchen. She really didn't know what this man did. He could tell whether she was hiding something from him just by looking at her state.

Besides, was she really that obvious?

Lin Rushang no longer hid it from him, because he would know about it sooner or later anyway.

"I just want to say, a few years ago, you saved me from that fire, right?"

He Tingchen's dark eyes dimmed for only a moment, then quickly recovered, and a smile appeared at the corner of his lips.

"Sister Lin, you just peeked at me."

He Tingchen's pressing gaze made Lin Rushuang feel a little overwhelmed, as if she had done something bad and was caught on the spot.

She defended herself.

"I just saw it accidentally."

He Tingchen obviously didn't believe her words, his brows raised slightly, and his tone was full of doubt.

"Did you really see it accidentally, or did you see it on purpose?"

"I..." Lin Rushuang's mental defenses had already collapsed. It was not that she was mentally fragile, but with He Tingchen's gaze, few people could withstand it.

His eyes seemed to be able to see into other people's hearts through their eyes.

In front of him, those little secrets of mine are almost nowhere to hide.

He Tingchen reached out and pinched her flushed cheek: "This story tells us that we should not lie. Truth will come out sooner or later."

When Lin Rushuang heard this, she was not convinced and was about to go up to argue with him.

"Mr. He, didn't you lie to me? It was you who saved me a few years ago. Why did you lie to me for so long? Why didn't you just tell me directly?"

"You clearly know that it wasn't Li Wenyuan who saved me, yet you still concealed it for him. Why?"

This is what Lin Rushuang doesn't understand the most. Since he saved her, he had to keep it secret. For so many years, Li Wenyuan didn't reveal anything to her.

She allowed herself to deceive her for so many years under the name of He Tingchen.

Whenever she thought about how Li Wenyuan had the nerve to say how much he loved her, she felt sick to her stomach.

He Tingchen was a little idle, leaning sideways in the chair and touching his chin.

"Actually, I didn't think too much about it at the time. I just felt that your mother was so good to me, and I couldn't just watch her daughter get into danger and do nothing."

When Lin Rushang heard this, she just said "oh" lightly.

He Tingchen accurately caught the subtle expression on Lin Rushuang's face. He leaned over and stared at her fair cheeks for a few seconds, teasing her.

"Why, Sister Lin looks a little disappointed?"

Lin Rushuang immediately denied it: "He Tingchen, could you please stop speculating about others? I didn't say anything, but you saw everything just from my eyes."

"You're not suited to communicating with normal people like us. You're more suited to communicating with those mutes. He Tingchen, why don't you just change your career and become a fortune teller?"

After Lin Rushuang finished speaking, she couldn't help but laugh. She already had a picture in her mind.

He Tingchen raised his chin slightly, looking confident of victory.

"I may not understand others very well, but you are different, Sister Lin. I understand you far better than you know yourself."
