It's another weekend.
Lin Sui got up, dressed, and went downstairs to drive. She had something important to do today. She played "Wind, Rain, Rainbow, Steel Rose" to cheer herself up, singing along loudly as she drove into the city.
The car stopped near Vientiane City, and she began to look for stores one by one. Whenever she saw one under renovation, she would go in to check. However, there were not that many stores under renovation. After visiting three, the only one left was the largest one.
Lin Sui stood at the door of the store, and her intuition told her that this was the store.
The workers were painting the place, creating an industrial style that looked like an old Chongqing hotpot restaurant. Lin Sui took a deep breath, walked in, and walked around, but didn't see Qin Chen.
"Who are you looking for?" someone asked her.
"Is the owner of this store surnamed Qin?" Lin Sui asked.
"Yes, what can I do for you?" the man asked again.
"Yes, that's fine. When will he come?"
"Soon, it's about this time every day." The man answered while looking at his phone.
"Well, thank you. I'll wait for him here."
Lin Sui crossed his arms, thinking that he couldn't stay here for long because there was formaldehyde everywhere, which was not good for the fetus.
However, just as she stepped out, she saw Qin Chen. Qin Chen probably didn't expect her to come, and the expression of surprise on his face couldn't be suppressed. Lin Sui narrowed her eyes, looking not at Qin Chen, but at the woman beside Qin Chen, Wan Qing.
"Why are you here?" This sentence was said to Wan Qing.
Wan Qing smiled and replied naturally, "Oh, I told Achen that I wanted to change my job as a waiter, and he asked me to come and see the environment here."
"Achen?" Lin Sui frowned. She wanted to laugh. Damn, when did they get together?
Qin Chen subconsciously wanted to explain.
"I went to your house to pick up something yesterday and met him by chance."
"What a coincidence!" Lin Sui said sarcastically, "After meeting once, you're changing jobs. What's going on? Nail salons don't have as much future as hot pot restaurants?"
Wan Qing didn't care about Lin Sui's sarcasm at all. "For a job like mine, there's no point in talking about future prospects. I just do what makes me feel comfortable."
"Heh, you've only met Qin Chen once, and you already know that he's comfortable here?" Lin Sui was speechless.
"People who are destined to be together don't need to meet often." Wan Qing covered his mouth and smiled.
Lin Sui found that Wan Qing was a stubborn woman. She didn't want to get angry with someone she didn't care about, so she turned around and yelled at Qin Chen.
"Come out with me." Then he folded his arms and walked out of the hot pot restaurant first.
Not only is there formaldehyde in this place, but damn, there's also a vixen. If she stays here any longer, she's going to vomit!
Qin Chen immediately turned around and followed her out. He was expecting Lin Sui to come and ask for peace, which meant that she had thought it through. As long as she had thought it through, everything would be easy to deal with!
Standing in the cold wind, Lin Sui looked at Qin Chen coldly, gritting his teeth.
"You're so damn good, Qin Chen! You secretly took away all the things while I was away. I thought you only took the things, but I didn't expect you to take a woman with you as well. Awesome! I admire you! I bow down to you!"
"There's nothing going on between her and me, don't make an issue of it." Qin Chen didn't want to be distracted from the main conflict.
"I believe it, but what I don't believe is that you're not stupid. Can't you see that vixen has bad intentions? Can't you see that she wants to hook up with you?"
Qin Chen smiled and said, "In my current situation, let's not even talk about whether I can stay with you or not."
Lin Sui narrowed his eyes, "Are you blaming me?"
Qin Chen shook his head, "I didn't say that."
"That's what you mean." Lin Sui's heart sank.
Qin Chen didn't want to go back to the old topic; there was nothing to talk about. He looked back, a little annoyed, and saw Wan Qing standing at the door of the shop, looking in their direction with a smile.
Qin Chen turned around again and said, "Tell me, what do you want to see me about?"
Lin Sui wiped her tears and felt that it was meaningless to say anything now. Qin Chen's meaning was very clear: either abort the child or break up.
Lin Sui burst into tears, "Qin Chen, are you really going to be so cruel? Do you really want me gone? We've finally gotten to this point, and we're just one step away from happiness. Are you really going to back down?"
Qin Chen clicked his tongue, feeling a little annoyed.
"Lin Sui, don't confuse me. It's not that I don't want you, it's that you don't want me. You chose your child with Zhou Dang, so you're destined to give up on me. You can't make a choice and then turn around and point at me and say I'm cruel. That's not fair."
Lin Sui stepped forward and held Qin Chen's hand. "Can't you just accept him? I will never tell him who his father is, and Zhou Dang will never know. You are his father, okay?"
Qin Chen sighed. He really didn't expect that after so long, Lin Sui's thoughts hadn't changed at all.
"Lin Sui, but I know, I know who this child belongs to. I can't treat him wholeheartedly, and I don't want to cause this trouble and put my whole life on the line!"
Lin Sui stared at Qin Chen in a daze, she seemed to not recognize him.
"You've changed. You wouldn't have done this to me before."
"It's because I always indulge you that you keep bullying me, Lin Sui. Maybe you do love me, but you love the feeling I bring you even more. Always safe, always loving you with all my heart, right? But I'm a human being, I have my own ideas and understandings, and I will never compromise on this matter. In my heart, I've given you a month, and it's not up yet. I'm willing to wait a few more days for you. Go back and think about it."
Qin Chen pulled out his arm, turned around, and left without looking back.
Lin Sui watched his back until he entered the hot pot restaurant, and Wan Qing followed behind him like a dog-skin plaster.
Lin Sui's tears were dried by the cold winter wind, but her heart was bleeding.
She looked up at the gray sky and felt very suffocated. She couldn't breathe at all and her stomach started to hurt.
She quickly drove to the nearest hospital, went to the emergency room, and the doctor performed an ultrasound on her.
"Very good, the baby is healthy. Listen to the fetal heartbeat."
Lin Sui lay on the ultrasound bed and heard the baby's fetal heartbeat again, it was so strong.
"Pay attention to rest more, pregnant women should not worry."
"Thank you, doctor."
After coming out of the hospital, Lin Sui finally felt relieved. She touched her belly and told herself not to cry, as it would not be good for the baby. Since she was determined to have a child, she would not change her mind.
As for Qin Chen, she didn't believe that he would break up with her. She thought he was just talking tough. After all, he went bankrupt for her. Who else could love her so much?
She believed that he would take care of her when her belly got bigger.
