Chapter 184 Legacy

Wang Shanshan has been going to the old house very frequently recently. The reason is simple: she is afraid that the old man has made a will without her knowledge. She wants to appear in front of the old man all the time to disgust him and remind him that as long as she, Wang Shanshan, exists, he can't be unfair to her.

Zhou's mother saw it all and guessed Wang Shanshan's intentions, but she certainly didn't expect that her eldest daughter-in-law and her old man would actually have an affair. Zhou's mother just thought Wang Shanshan wanted to please Zhou's father in order to get more property.

Wang Shanshan changed into the same outfit as Zhou's mother. Although she had been rebellious for a short time before, now that she was seeking wealth, she had to put on a show.

Zhou Xiong was annoyed to death. He didn't want to see Wang Shanshan's hypocritical face at all. But Wang Shanshan pretended too well. She called him "Dad" in front of everyone and played the role of filial piety to the extreme. Sometimes she performed too much and Zhou's mother would retch in the background.

Anyway, Zhou's mother didn't want to serve Zhou Xiong, so she was happy that Wang Shanshan came. After handing Zhou Xiong over to Wang Shanshan, she went to play mahjong.

In fact, Zhou Xiong's health has recovered well. Except for his speech which is still not very fluent, there are no other problems. Now he goes out for a walk and exercises at a fixed time every day.

Wang Shanshan followed Zhou Xiong like a ghost as she walked along the small path in the villa area.

Zhou Xiong was a man of great pride. Ever since he realized he couldn't speak clearly, he rarely spoke. He didn't want to damage his image as the head of the family. So, when Wang Shanshan pretended to care for him but threatened him, he was furious but kept silent, which made Wang Shanshan very happy.

She followed Zhou Xiong, her mouth like a machine gun: "Dad, your body has recovered well, and there's nothing wrong with your legs and feet. At most, you need to walk a few steps and breathe for a while. But your tongue is a big problem. You can't just never speak again, right? How can that be possible? Such a big industry is waiting for your decision? Otherwise, why don't you hire me to be your translator? I think we have a good understanding. When we're in bed, you just need to pat my butt and I'll know whether to lie down or do something else..."

Zhou Xiong was so angry that he was fuming. He first looked around to make sure there was no one around, then turned around and pointed at Wang Shanshan, saying "you" for a long time without saying anything else.

"What's wrong with me? I understand. You want to say that I'm too filial, right? Oh, that's just the beginning. I haven't really shown my filial piety yet. Dad, I see you've almost recovered. How about we find a hotel, or go back to the top floor, and I'll let you have some fun for a while? You don't have to work hard anyway." Wang Shanshan stared with her eyes wide open and smiled like a flower. That smile was a glare to Zhou Xiong.

Zhou Xiong knew that he couldn't win the argument with Wang Shanshan, so he turned around and walked forward on his own. Wang Shanshan hurriedly jogged to catch up with him.

"Hey, why are you walking so fast? I haven't even supported you yet. Quick, put your hand on my arm. But be sure not to put it on the wrong arm. You accidentally put it on my chest again..."

Zhou Xiong turned around and pushed Wang Shanshan hard. Wang Shanshan lost her balance and was about to fall backwards. Fortunately, she was not wearing high heels and was able to stand. But this made Wang Shanshan angry. The first thing she did after she stood firm was to push Zhou Xiong hard. Zhou Xiong was not so lucky. There was a small steep slope behind him. The push made him fall down hard and roll several times.

Wang Shanshan covered her mouth and looked at Zhou Xiong lying on the ground with his teeth grimaced, and finally called 120.

When they received the call from home, Zhou Dang and Lin Sui were shopping outside. It was a rare opportunity for them to have such free time, so they took the time to go shopping for three hours because Lin Sui had to go back to breastfeed after three hours.

However, just after visiting one store, Zhou Dang received a call from his mother.

"How could you fall? Oh, I see. I'll go right away."

"What's wrong?" Lin Sui was about to take a piece of clothing to try on.

"My dad fell down, it was quite serious, and he went to the hospital again." Zhou Dang was a little annoyed. This time he felt that things were not going well.

"So sudden?" Lin Sui was also a little surprised.

"Let's go there." Zhou Dang said to Lin Sui.

"Okay." Lin Sui put down his clothes, turned around, and walked out of the mall with Zhou Dang and headed straight for the hospital.

When he arrived at the hospital, Zhou Dang realized that his premonition was correct. Zhou Xiong had hit the back of his head in the fall, causing intracerebral hemorrhage. In addition, his previous heart attack had not yet healed, so this time he was probably in great danger.

Wang Shanshan stood aside without saying a word. It was not that she was not afraid, but everyone was still in chaos and no one asked her how Zhou Xiong fell.

However, she had already thought of the wording. She was prepared to insist that Zhou Xiong fell accidentally. As for whether it was captured by the surveillance camera, she would talk about it later. She would just deal with the current situation first.

However, what she didn't expect was that no one asked this question until she got home that night. Zhou Tao completely trusted his wife. He felt that his father must have fallen accidentally. Questioning his wife would only make her feel that she didn't trust him. Zhou Dang had doubts, but he didn't care that much. He was more concerned about whether his father could hold on this time. Zhou's mother didn't care. Even if it was Wang Shanshan who pushed him, it didn't matter. After all, Zhou Xiong's early death was just a relief for her.

As for the will, Zhou Xiong had made it long ago after his heart attack, but he kept it secret from Zhou's mother. However, Zhou's mother had already bribed a lawyer and knew the contents of the will in advance. It was beneficial to both Zhou Dang and herself, so she did not pursue the matter.

However, she kept the news secret and didn't tell anyone, including Zhou Dang.

Zhou Xiong died the next night. Because he was in a coma, he did not leave a single word until his death.

The will was published on the second day after Zhou Xiong's death, and it was almost the same as what Zhou Xiong had said to Wang Shanshan: 1 for the outside family, 2 for Zhou Dao, 2 for Zhou's mother, and 5 for Zhou Dang.

Wang Shanshan's efforts were completely in vain. She felt like a clown who had sacrificed herself but got nothing in return.

Zhou Tao had no objection to the outcome of the will. He didn't have much expectations in the first place, and Zhou Dang didn't care either. Although he was now the largest shareholder of Zhou Group, he still left it to his eldest brother to manage, and he only took the money.

Zhou's mother was completely relieved. After Zhou Xiong's funeral, she traveled around the world with her best friend and planned to come back next year.

However, Zhou Dang was still hesitant about one thing. He was holding a surveillance video in his hand. It was the surveillance video of the villa area on the day Zhou Xiong had the accident. It recorded in detail the conversation between Wang Shanshan and Zhou Xiong and the reason for the fall.

He had already got it, but hesitated whether to tell his eldest brother.
