Chapter 46 Love Bento

Lin Sui lowered her head. She didn't know how to reject Zhou Dang without appearing to hurt him so much.

"I don't want to have children. I always feel that our situation is not suitable for having children."

Lin Sui poked the potatoes in the bowl with chopsticks.

"Oh, then don't have a baby. You're young anyway, so you can afford to wait a little longer."

Unexpectedly, Zhou Dang didn't seem to care at all and continued to eat the dishes.

Lin Sui thought the matter was over, and after dinner, Lin Sui went upstairs with her bloated belly. Zhou Dang looked at Lin Sui's back at the bottom of the stairs, his eyes darkening.

After eating hot pot, Lin Sui’s cold was cured after one night.

This means that she has to go to accompany drinking again today. This job is actually not bad. At least she can lie at home during the day... Lin Sui thought that with the salary of accompanying drinking plus the salary of a reporter, her income this month will reach an unprecedentedly high level.

Before she knew it, the money in her card was only a short distance away from the amount she owed Zhou Dang.

Zhou Dang was a little curious when he saw that she hadn't left the house yet.

"Don't you have to go to work today?"

Based on his understanding of Lin Sui, he knew that Lin Sui would not resign.

"Yeah, I'll go later. I want to lie down for a while."

Zhou Dang said "oh", got up and started washing up to get ready to go to work.

Lin Sui is not a person who enjoys life. When she thinks about lying at home until night and then going to work, she feels like, oh my god, what am I going to do for the whole day?

This question suddenly became clear as Zhou Dang left. She jumped out of bed, went to the kitchen downstairs, opened the refrigerator, and found it was full of food, all bought by the aunt Zhou Dang asked to clean.

She picked out some and prepared to make a loving lunch box for Qin Chen and send it to Hemu.

I haven’t cooked for a long time, so my skills are a little rusty, but fortunately I followed the recipe, so the taste is not bad, it just looks a little ugly.

After finishing it, he packed it in a box and put it in his bag. Then Lin Sui dressed up simply and drove to Hemu.

Strangely enough, this time the secretary saw her and said nothing, but simply gestured for her to come in. Lin Sui smiled and walked towards Qin Chen's office with her lunch box.

Qin Chen raised his eyebrows when he saw her. He probably didn't expect this either. After all, the two of them had parted on bad terms the night before.

Lin Sui smiled and placed the lunch box on Qin Chen's desk.

"I made a loving bento for you, try it!"

Then he sat down opposite Qin Chen, resting his chin on his hands, looking at Qin Chen affectionately.

"Oh, by the way! I'm going to tell you a secret, don't tell anyone!" Lin Sui suddenly remembered that there was still a misunderstanding between her and Qin Chen that had not been explained clearly.

Qin Chen looked at Lin Sui, indicating that he was listening.

"Well, I went to hostesses because I wanted to be an undercover agent, writing a series of articles about the relationships between hostesses and their clients... Don't tell anyone, I have to go to work tonight."

"Really?" Qin Chen obviously didn't believe it.

"Really!" Lin Sui made a gesture as if he was swearing to the sky.

"I'll believe you for now." Qin Chen opened the lunch box and looked at the dishes inside: sweet and sour pork ribs and cauliflower, neither of which looked very good.

Seeing that Qin Chen believed her, Lin Sui started to joke: "Aunt believes me, but what about uncle?"

Qin Chen curled his lips, not finding the joke funny.

The two moved to the sofa in the reception area. Qin Chen picked up the chopsticks, picked up a piece of pork ribs and put it in his mouth. Surprisingly, it tasted pretty good.

"Hehe, not bad, right?" Lin Sui rubbed his hands and waited for Qin Chen's answer.

"Um."

"I knew it. Let me tell you, I have been cooking for myself since I was a child. My father is busy and always has to go to the construction site..." Suddenly, Lin Sui covered his mouth and looked at Qin Chen with horror.

"What's wrong?" Qin Chen was a little confused.

"Nothing." Lin Sui breathed a sigh of relief. Fortunately, she had told Qin Chen before that her father was an engineer, so there seemed to be nothing wrong with going to the construction site...

"Anyway, I've been cooking for myself since I was a child, so my cooking skills are pretty good. It's just that I haven't done it in a while, so it's a little rusty."

Qin Chen nodded and ate his food in big mouthfuls.

Lin Sui didn't understand why, after so many years, she still couldn't tell Qin Chen the truth?

Perhaps it was because she knew Qin Chen's character too well. If she told Qin Chen about her father's illness, he would probably forgive her for abandoning him and might even accept her again.

But that was just sympathy. She didn't want Qin Chen's feelings for her to be mixed with anything else.

"Do you still remember when I asked you to pursue me in high school, and you made me a bento once? It turned out to be awful..."

Lin Sui fell into memories.

Qin Chen smiled and touched his nose. "I don't seem to have a talent for cooking. I've tried several times over the years, but it never worked."

"I figured it out a long time ago, okay? At that time, I was thinking that after getting married, I would probably have to cook all the meals myself..."

At this point, the atmosphere fell silent again.

Lin Sui couldn't help but blame himself in his heart, wondering why he always killed the conversation.

Just at this moment, the office door was pushed open, and Lin Sui saw Fang Zhiyou with a surprised look on his face.

Fang Zhiyou looked at Qin Chen's almost empty lunch box, then looked at Lin Sui who was sitting opposite Qin Chen, and then looked down at the lunch box he was holding. For a moment, he felt in his heart that he and Lin Sui were really in sync.

"Hey, isn't this Reporter Lin? Why are you here?"

Fang Zhiyou was wearing high heels. She twisted her legs and walked in front of Qin Chen and sat down next to him.

"Oh, was this done by Reporter Lin?" Fang Zhiyou exaggeratedly pulled out a tissue and wiped Qin Chen's mouth, then blamed himself: "Look, it's all because of me, your fiancée, not doing my job well. Reporter Lin has to suffer."

Lin Sui's expression was exactly like that of an old man on the subway.

She didn't know what Fang Zhiyou was doing. If she didn't know, she would have thought it was Sister Feng from Dream of the Red Chamber.

Seeing that Lin Sui hadn't said anything, Fang Zhiyou asked again, "Isn't reporter Lin pregnant? How is it? Are you feeling unwell?"

Lin Sui said, "That was a misunderstanding. I went to the hospital and found out I wasn't pregnant."

In an instant, Fang Zhiyou's face changed, as cold as the weather in June.

"No wonder. I was wondering how a woman who's pregnant with her husband's child could seduce someone else's fiancé."

Lin Sui knew that he was in the wrong, so he just let Fang Zhiyou scold him.

"Well, since we've finished our meal, I'll leave first." Lin Sui packed up the lunch box in front of Qin Chen, ready to leave this place of trouble.

Fang Zhiyou watched Lin Sui's actions with a sneer, thinking that the ghost was really lingering. He turned to look at Qin Chen and found that Qin Chen's eyes were completely following Lin Sui, which made him even more angry.

"Reporter Lin, goodbye. If you still don't change your ways, I don't mind sending a letter of complaint to your company."
