"Then do you want me to move your wood to the yard?" Shuwen asked.
Chunxiao smiled and said, "Of course we have to move them, but there are too many of them and you can't move them. Just leave them there and move them yourself when your aunt comes back." After saying that, she said goodbye to Tian and left.
Shuwen took Xiaoqi and the others to the next door to find Duoer and the others.
It was almost three in the afternoon when Chunxiao climbed halfway up the mountain to the place where she could cut wood. She could only work for more than two hours at most, so she started working without saying a word.
When she returned home in the evening, she felt so tired that she could not walk. When she saw the piles of firewood in the thatched shed in the yard, Chunxiao was almost moved to tears. These children actually helped her move all the wood back. They were so well-behaved.
There was still some noodle soup in the pot that was not finished at noon. Although it had clumped up after being left for a long time, Chunxiao did not mind. He lit a fire to heat it up and ate it all in one gulp.
After dinner, she washed the pot and boiled water. She had been sweating a lot in the past two days, so she wanted to take a bath. She closed the doors and windows, dragged the bathtub to the kitchen, and took a comfortable bath by the stove.
After taking a shower, she went to the backyard and started to build a charcoal kiln with wood to burn charcoal. Now there are four fixed earthen mounds in the backyard, two for harvesting and two for burning.
Chunxiao had once again built a bonfire. To save time, while she watched the charcoal fire, she washed her clothes and hung them out in the yard by the firelight. She made the most of the night. If it weren't so dark outside, she would have wanted to go to the river to fetch water.
I worked until late at night before finishing work. Now there is a total of about 100 kilograms of inventory at home, with about 40 kilograms coming in and out every day, and the inventory is maintained at a balance of 60 kilograms.
Go to bed tired.
Another morning, she struggled out of bed and carried her charcoal to town. She decided to deliver it directly to the first seller. As expected, the seller readily accepted the charcoal and returned her basket. Chunxiao received 2 taels, 5 cents, and 20 copper coins for the 42 jin (approximately 100 catties) of charcoal. However, as she was leaving the alley, she was stopped by two young men in their 20s.
Chunxiao took a look and saw a woman squatting next to a cart, which was full of charcoal.
"Is there anything I can do for you, brothers?" She knew it was someone in her industry trying to pick a fight with her. Although she was nervous, she tried hard to keep a straight face.
"I was wondering why there's always haggling over the price when selling charcoal lately, and I've even lost two buyers. It turns out someone cut in mid-sale."
"Do you know that we've always supplied this area? Did you barge in without saying hello? Did we get permission?" The young man who spoke walked up to the woman. "Mom, that's her. I was squatting at the door just now. She was the one who sold the coal to them."
When the woman heard this, she glared at her and walked towards her, "Where did you come from, you bitch? You don't even understand the principle of first come first served. You are not allowed to come to Fuqiu Lane to sell charcoal in the future."
Chun Xiao rolled her eyes at the sky and said, "Did you take over the entire Fuqiu Lane? Why can't I come here to sell charcoal?"
"Oh, you're quite the tough one," a young man came over and pushed her. "If you're not allowed to sell it, then you're not allowed to sell it. This is our territory. Get out of here if you know what's good for you."
Chun Xiao staggered after being pushed by him, and she was furious. "What if I refuse? Who said that only you can sell and no one else can? This Fuqiu Lane was not built by you. How can you bully the market like this?"
When the two men heard her accusing them of bullying the market, they rolled up their sleeves and were ready to take action.
Chun Xiao caught a glimpse of a stone not far away, and hurried over to pick it up, holding it in his hand. "If you dare to touch me today, I will split your heads open. Whoever doesn't let me have a good life, I won't let them have a good life either."
The two young men sneered twice, obviously not frightened by her. "I've seen a lot of shrews. If I don't teach you a lesson today, anyone can bully you and step on you in the future. I'm afraid this business will be ruined. Blocking someone's financial path is like killing their parents. If you know what's good for you and don't come here again, we won't bother with you."
Chun Xiao saw them approaching. Although she looked tough on the outside, she was still a little timid inside. She took two steps back without noticing. The two men laughed at her and said, "You are a woman who is so tough. You will always suffer in society. We were generous enough to let you go before. Don't come here again."
If she gave in today, her way of making money would be cut off. They had just said that blocking someone's path to wealth was like killing their parents. She took a deep breath and said, "Don't even think about it."
The two men hadn't expected the woman before them to refuse their toast. The man in front of them raised his foot and kicked her. She dodged, but her dodge wasn't wide enough, and she was kicked to the ground, her side aching. This head-on confrontation wouldn't work.
There were people watching the excitement not far away. She rubbed the place where she was kicked and started crying like a shrew, "Help! Someone is beating someone up, someone is killing someone! Is there anyone who can help? Help!"
When the two men saw her crying, they came forward and wanted to kick her again. Chunxiao grabbed the stone and swung it, and the stone hit the man's calf bone. The man screamed in pain. Seeing this, the other man came over to catch her, but she was not stupid. She got up and ran, shouting "Help!" and "Someone is killing me!" as she ran.
Seeing this, the woman nearby also ran over to help. Chunxiao saw that she was about to be surrounded, and suddenly she caught a glimpse of officials coming from the other end of the alley. She gritted her teeth and deliberately let the old woman block their way. When the man waved his hand, she stuffed the stone into his hand, used the force to avoid the vital parts, and hit him on the forehead.
The man was a little confused. Was this woman crazy? She actually handed him a stone.
After being hit like that, blood instantly oozed out from her forehead.
