Chapter 215 The Two Bullied Kids

Tian walked forward and looked at the children who jumped out of the carriage. She was originally happy and wanted to go up to greet them, but she saw that Yan Qi and Wu Zhong had scratches on their faces. She pulled Yan Qi over and asked, "What's wrong with your face?"

Wang also pulled Wu Zhong to look at him and found bruises on his arms as well as his face. "Did you have a fight?"

Seeing bruises on Wuzhong's hands, Tian also pulled Yanqi's sleeves and saw a few bruises as well. "Did someone bully you?" Chunxiao and Wangfu both came over.

"Who bullied you? Weren't you all fine the last time I saw you?"

Wuzhong pursed his lips and said nothing, while Wang hugged him with a look of heartache on her face.

Seeing that the two of them were silent, Chunxiao frowned and said, "I didn't ask you to come to the county to study and suffer. Yanqi, tell me, what's going on?"

Shuwen stood behind him and pushed him, "Hurry up and tell me, or your aunt will be angry."

Seeing Chunxiao's unhappy expression, Yan Qi went over and tugged at his mother's sleeve. "Mom, Aunt, I heard you guys are here to buy something. How long will you be staying?"

"Your aunt is asking you a question, please don't change the subject." Although Tian felt sorry for her son, she couldn't help but get to the bottom of this matter.

Shuduo and Pan'er asked them about it on the way, but they kept silent and always talked about other things. Now they were curious, so they brought a stool and sat next to them.

Yan Qi sighed, "Our injuries were caused by Zhao Shian."

"Who is Zhao Shian, and why is he bullying you?"

Wu Zhong heard Yan Qi speak, so he didn't try to hide it anymore. "Zhao Shi'an is the county magistrate's youngest son. He and his gang always like to bully us country folk. We've mentioned this to the teachers at the academy, but they can't do anything about it. They just told us to be more tolerant."

"This is simply outrageous." This academy actually bullies the weak and fears the strong. "How long has this happened? Why didn't you mention it when you went back?" Tian looked at them with heartache. She was too careless and didn't even ask about Yan Qi's situation in the academy.

"It started shortly after we started school." Yan Qi said with a hint of grievance, "When Dad sent us to the academy, he told us to get along well with our classmates and not to argue with them casually."

"You can't let anyone bully you. You actually went home and didn't say anything." Chun Xiao was furious. "No, we have to go to the academy to discuss this matter."

Wu Zhong got anxious when he heard this, "Aunt Chunxiao, please don't do that. It's not like no one has ever made a fuss before, and in the end, you're the one who suffers."

No wonder they kept silent, it turned out there were bad examples before them.

"Shouldn't the county magistrate's son be in the county school? Why is he in a private school?" Wangfu was a little confused.

"I heard that Zhao Shi'an was born to the county magistrate's concubine and that he and his wife were not on good terms. The county magistrate's eldest son is studying in the county school, and Zhao Shi'an has been studying there." Yan Qi looked at their distressed expressions and said, "Mother, aunt, it's okay. We'll just stay away from them from now on."

"Little sister, what do you think we should do about this?" Tian felt very sad when she thought about the life her son was living in school.

This official naturally couldn't confront her head-on. She wasn't so foolish as to think she could defeat him with a weak hand. "This isn't the only academy here. You guys go back tomorrow. When I find a new, suitable academy, we can transfer there." Chunxiao looked at Wang. "Sister-in-law Wang, what do you think?"

Wang was almost heartbroken and burst into tears. "Turn it around, we'll turn it around once we find it. These two children have suffered so much in silence because we didn't tell them earlier."

Chunxiao asked Xiaohua to go to the pharmacy to buy medicine for the scratch. She looked at Yanqi distressedly and said, "Besides this matter, is there anything else bad? Your mother and aunt are here, tell me everything."

Yan Qi shook her head and looked at Wu Zhong, who also quickly shook his head. "Without Aunt Chunxiao, except for those bullies, all other classmates are fine. We have made a lot of good friends."

Yan Qi nodded, "Everything else is fine. The teacher is a bit cowardly, but he doesn't usually criticize us."

Chun Xiao was amused by the word "cowardly" he used, "You still dare to call the Master a coward? If you don't say it today, I will say you are cowardly now."

The two pairs of mothers and children exchanged greetings and applied medicine to the two of them. After dinner, they sat and talked for a while, and then Shuwen sent them back.

"Aunt, the county magistrate's son is so annoying. Is there no one who can take care of him?" Shu Duo was a little dissatisfied. "Can't you just tell the county magistrate directly and let his father take care of him?" She spoke up for her brother.

"You are too naive. He has such a temper, and most likely he has been spoiled. If his parents hadn't indulged him, how could he have become so rampant? If we go and complain to our county magistrate, he might discipline him a little for the sake of his reputation, but we don't know how he will try to trip him up in secret. They say that the people should not fight the officials. We can only hide, not confront them head-on."

"Your aunt is right," Wang agreed. "I heard from my father that our county magistrate is not a diligent and good official."

"That's what the village head said?" Chunxiao suddenly remembered the story of the county magistrate's brother-in-law running a business. "Is this county magistrate still the same one as before?"

"That's right!" Wang looked at the door. "So many people are hoping he'll leave, yet he stays here year after year."

"Then let's go and inquire about other academies early tomorrow morning. Fortunately, we found one this time." Tian knew that she couldn't confront them head-on, and she also agreed with Chunxiao's suggestion to find another academy.
