"Then you don't miss Wuyou." Chunxiao looked at her and smiled, blinking, "I can't bear to leave her. You should play with her more. I'm such a grown-up, can't I take care of myself? Do I really need you to help fan me when I sleep? Go ahead, I really don't need you to watch over me all the time."
"Okay then, Miss, if you need anything, just call me."
At night, Xiaohua drove Shitou away and stayed in the happy room. Chunxiao looked at the moonlight outside through the window and calculated that it was indeed the fifteenth day of the lunar month. The moon was round and big, and the unpolluted sky was full of stars. The night view was so beautiful. When she watched TV before, the heroes in the show liked to sit on the roof and drink facing the moon on such days. The scene was so comfortable. She wanted to try it, but when she thought about the mosquitoes outside, she gave up. The artistic conception was beautiful, but it was out of touch with reality.
The next day, after they had lunch, they were ready to leave, and the Xingfu family sent them to the gate of the village.
"Miss, please be careful on the road. If you have time, remember to come and visit more often."
"You have to take care of yourself too. Go back. The sun is strong. Don't let Wuyou get burned."
"Sister, I will come back to see you."
"You should learn some propriety when you are around the young lady and don't cause any trouble for her."
"I understand, sister, brother-in-law, you all go back."
Zhao Shitou supported Xingfu and waved goodbye to them from behind. The carriage left Huangkou Village and headed towards Ruyun.
Meiman looked at them and said, "We've been together and apart so many times, I'm used to it. You're leaving tomorrow too, so I have to say goodbye to you once again."
"There's nothing to be sad about." Chunxiao patted Xiaohua's shoulder. "It's just an ordinary farewell. We can meet again anytime in the future."
Xiaohua opened her eyes and said, "I know. I'm not sad. I just feel a little reluctant."
Dongsheng felt that girls were really sentimental. He had experienced so many separations and deaths in the military camp, but she was not as sentimental as them. Fortunately, she was not like them, otherwise she would have cried her eyes out.
They returned to the village and stayed there for another night. They set off early the next morning, and their next stop was Sanchuan County.
The four of them traveled to the other five counties in Tongzhou and visited five locations, three of which were Chunxiao's shops. Dongsheng's selections were all excellent, offering excellent value for money, and Chunxiao was very satisfied. It was already June 27th when they left Tongzhou. Qingzhou Dongsheng had established locations in six counties, and since they were returning home and had plenty of time, Chunxiao decided to follow Dongsheng around to visit each location and take the opportunity to explore.
On July 20th, they finally returned to Zuoyuan Coach House. Wangfu saw Lao Wei with mixed feelings. "I asked you to send someone off, and you were gone for over a month. I was worried something might have happened to you."
"Boss, didn't you ask me to send the boss back? I've been following them ever since. I didn't expect it would take so long."
"Brother Wangfu, don't blame Master Wei. It's our fault. We thought Master Wei would be a troublemaker in our province, so we left him here and forgot to bring you a message."
"There's nothing else to it, but I was worried that something might happen to you on the way. Now you're back, I'm glad. I didn't expect Dongsheng to come back with you."
"Shuwen is getting married, and since August has to go back anyway, I came back with them."
"So are you going back today or taking a night off before going back?"
"It's too late today. Let's go back tomorrow. I'll go to Congwen Pavilion to see if I can see Yan Qi."
Dongsheng was thinking about going home tomorrow, so he wanted to buy some things for his father in the county town, so the two of them went their separate ways, and Chunxiao took Xiaohua to Congwenguan.
Director Zhuang had said that casual visits were not allowed during the course of the school, but once in a while should be fine. She brought Xiaohua and knocked on the door of the school. The old man at the door remembered her and was quite enthusiastic when he saw her. "You are here to see the child!"
Chunxiao nodded. "We just came back from out of town and were passing through the county town. We wanted to see our nephew. I wonder if you can accommodate us."
"I can't make the decision on this. Wait a minute, I'll go ask the master in charge." After placing the two of them in the pavilion, he went to look for someone.
"Miss, now that you're in, you're treated differently. Before, you had to wait outside, but now you can just sit and wait."
"Of course. We are students' families, half members of the academy, so naturally we are treated differently." Chunxiao really likes the bamboo in the garden, it's lush and cool. "What do you think about planting some bamboo in my house?"
Xiaohua followed her gaze and said, "I think it's fine. It's quite pretty." She pointed to the pond over there and said, "Do we want our pond to be like that?"
"Of course it's going to look better than over there."
The two waited for a while, but the teacher in charge didn't show up. Instead, the director of the museum arrived. When they saw him, they quickly stood up and said, "Hello, Director Zhuang."
"Miss Yan, please don't be so polite. Are you here to see Yan Qi and Yan Wuzhong?"
This was a somewhat knowing question. Chun Xiao had no idea what the curator was up to. She smiled and said, "Yes, we just came back from Tongzhou. It's been a while since we last met, so I wanted to come and see you."
The curator stroked his beard and looked at her with a smile. "It's about time, Miss Yan. Last time I told you I wanted you to help teach two painting classes. I wonder when you have the time. If you are free, why not do it tomorrow? I'd also like to learn a thing or two."
Chunxiao didn't expect that this was his plan. She had agreed to it just to be perfunctory. Now that it was brought up, if she refused today, she might not be able to raise the child.
"I don't dare to be a professor. I have no problem sharing my experiences with everyone, but I'm a woman. Would it affect the reputation of the academy if I shared these things in the academy? The director should think about it."
