Chapter 23 Asking for Help

"Let's go, let's go together."

Dahe sent Zhang back home, and followed his parents and elder brother to the end of the village in the rain.

When they arrived at the yard, Chunxiao was still sitting outside watching the brothel. They went to the main room together and took off their straw raincoats and hats.

Chunxiao took the time to go back to the house and asked, "Dad, why did you all come here in this heavy rain?" The rain was heavier now than before.

"Your mother told us about your situation. I was anxious to get a charter, so I came here with your eldest brother and the others."

Chun Xiao was talking to them while looking outside. "Dad, I need someone to man the stove right now. Let's cut to the chase."

After they left the utility room, the father and his two sons came to the straw shed and watched Chunxiao filling the earthen mound with mud. "Did you want to build this shed just for burning charcoal today?" Yan Bingfa thought of Chunxiao's plan to build a big shed that day.

"Dad, you're overthinking it. This is pure coincidence. I built the shed to store things on rainy days. I didn't know how to burn charcoal back then. I only thought of burning it in this shed because I had no other place."

There weren't enough stools at home, so they could only stand and talk to her.
