"Wowo is too hard." Chunxiao frowned as she thought of Wowo. "I'd better eat less when conditions get better. It's hard to even go to the toilet."
Yan Dahe spit out a mouthful of porridge, "Chunxiao, we're still eating."
Chun Xiao covered her mouth and laughed, "No more, no more."
"That's unruly. Girls, please be more careful."
"Mom, we saw Sanjiang again in town today, but he probably didn't see us." Dashan said casually.
"Going to town so early, are they secretly doing some business in town?" Zhou became interested.
"I don't know. I didn't see what he was holding. We were busy delivering goods at the time, and we were afraid he would see us, so we left in a hurry."
"Then you should pay more attention to him in the future. If he goes to town often, you never know when you might run into him again."
After they finished their meal, they rested for a while and then went back.
Chunxiao sat in the backyard with Zhou and chatted idly. When it was almost dinner time, Zhou went to cook, and she started to light charcoal in the yard.
At night, Chunxiao closed the doors and windows, took a stick and dug the soil in the corner.
Zhou looked at her with a puzzled expression, "Chunxiao, what are you doing? Why aren't you sleeping yet?"
"Mom, remember this is where I hid my silver. Let's count the money together tonight."
When Zhou heard about the place where the money was hidden, she said, "Wouldn't it be dirty if you buried it there? You'd have to wash it every time you use it. Or did you bury it in a jar?"
"The jar is too deep. I have a locked box. Don't worry."
It wasn't long before Zhou finally saw the box Chunxiao had put her money in. It looked quite exquisite. "When did you buy it?"
"Just now." Chunxiao wiped the box with a cloth. "There's a layer of stones underneath, so it's not dirty. There's also something covering the surface." She placed the box on the bed and poured out all the money. Except for a large silver ingot, the rest were small change. She also put today's money in the box. "Mom, let's count it."
Zhou followed her to count the money, and in the end there was a total of 42 taels and 59 copper coins.
Zhou was excited again. "Chunxiao, besides the six acres of land, you also have this silver. If you spend it frugally, you won't have to worry about it in the future. Hurry and put it away."
Saving money might be a bit difficult, but she didn't want to skimp on food. She put 40 taels of silver in the box. "I'll take these two taels or more tomorrow. I need to buy books for Shuwen. If Big Brother gets paid for the charcoal tomorrow, I'll use that money to buy things." Even if she couldn't sell all of it, there would still be some left, so she wouldn't have to worry about that. She locked the box and buried it, then flattened it with her feet to make it look like the surrounding area.
