Chapter 41 New Plan

"What's the point of being sad? The things are gone. Even if I cry, they won't come back. Of course I feel the pain, but on second thought, I want to turn them into motivation to make money. That's the right choice."

"You're talking so much these days, and everything you say makes sense. I can't argue with you."

Yan Bangfa felt particularly relieved. "Chunxiao is doing very well right now. When faced with problems, she's not like those fussy girls in the village. She's very decisive. People like her usually have great prospects." He smiled. "Losing something is bad luck, but it's already bad luck. If you keep getting upset, you'll end up being the one who suffers."

"You are the only ones who are insightful, and I am just an ordinary person." Zhou looked at the father and son unhappily, "There is no one in front, old man, please pay attention."

"Mom, it's pitch black up here, and there's no light. Now there's nothing to see. What are you asking Dad to see? It's cold to walk around. Let's just wait by the fire and leave when we're done."

"It's not that cold. If you move around more, you won't feel cold anymore."

"I haven't been active enough. I'm practically jumping up and down around these clay stoves. You said you gave birth to a girl, not a monkey."

Zhou finally couldn't help but burst out laughing, "You've been talking nonsense all day long. I'm not going to chat with you anymore."

Several people chatted and laughed in front of the fire. After the seven earthen kilns were sealed, Chunxiao and the others sat there for about an hour and smashed open the eighth earthen kiln. She tried to test the result, but failed. It was probably because it was not crisp enough in the middle, so there would be smoke when it was burned.

Yan Bingfa and the others knew they had failed, but they didn't say anything. They had said they would try earlier. Even if they knew the process, charcoal wouldn't be easy to burn. The three of them closed the door, lit their earthen lanterns, and returned to the village.

After arriving home, Zhang heard the noise and got dressed. She warmed water for Chunxiao and asked her to soak her feet before going to sleep. Today, Pan'er was with them, so it was just Shuduo and her in the room. When Chunxiao went to bed, Shuduo was already asleep. She was worried that she would wake the child from the cold, but who knew that the child slept so well and didn't show any sign of waking up.

She was lying on the bed thinking about what happened today. When she came back, the cash box had been handed over to Zhou to help take care of it for a few days. She felt that she had suffered a loss in this matter, but she didn't want to let it go. She had to think about it carefully to figure out how to lure the thief out again.

When she got up the next day, Shuduo was already up. She got dressed and went to the yard. Zhang was tending vegetables in the vegetable garden.

"Second sister-in-law, second brother and the others have left?" She adjusted the belt that was tied crookedly around her waist and smoothed her hair with her hands.

"I've been gone for a while. Little sister, did you sleep well last night?" Seeing that she got up, Zhang hurried out of the vegetable garden with mud on her hands.

Chunxiao went to the water tank and scooped a bucket of water for her to wash her hands. "Okay, Shuduo is like a little heater. It's very warm when you sleep."

Shuduo and Pan'er, who were feeding leaves to the chickens, both laughed. Pan'er covered her mouth and said, "Sister, Auntie said you are a little heater."

"Auntie, you're praising me for being warm." Shuduo pointed to the kitchen and said, "Auntie, I've boiled some hot water in the pot. Please get some water to wash your face."

Perhaps hearing the voice from the other end, Chunxiao was washing her face when Shuwen ran over and asked, "Aunt, are you done washing up?" She seemed a little anxious.

"I've finished washing. What's the matter? Is your grandma looking for me?"

Shuwen looked at the people in the yard embarrassedly and said, "Second Aunt, I want my aunt to teach me how to read, okay?"

Zhang smiled and said, "That depends on whether your aunt is free!"

After hearing this, Shuwen pulled Chunxiao to the next door. The two little girls who were feeding the chickens dropped their vegetable leaves and ran over.

Chunxiao was pulled to the main hall. Books had been placed on the table. Zhou was probably still in the room, so she didn't see anyone. Chunxiao saw the five children coming together, and thought it was still early. "Okay, auntie has something to do today, so I will teach you to recognize and write 5 characters first. You must study hard and seriously." After that, she opened the book and began to teach the children the first five characters in the book. The traditional Chinese characters had many strokes, but fortunately she could understand them.

After telling them the five words and roughly explaining their literal meaning, she took them to the yard, found a branch and taught them to write on the mud ground.

"Resources at home are limited, so just follow Auntie's instructions for now. If you can't remember everything right away, there are five of you, so each of you should focus on one key point, including Pan'er. Remind each other, okay?"

"I understand, auntie." Several little people went to find branches and started drawing in an imitative manner.

When Zhou and Yan Bang came out, they saw Chunxiao and the children writing.

"Have you finished teaching? If you're done, we have to hurry over there. There's no one there. I can't sleep well tonight."

"It's over, it's over." Chunxiao emphasized Shuwen again and then put down the branch. "What's there to worry about? I slept very well. Let's go."

Zhou said hello to Tian from the kitchen, then took Chunxiao and the others away. Before leaving, Chunxiao carried away the hoe he had been using.

When they arrived at the house at the end of the village, they found that the fence gate and the main gate were locked tightly, and Zhou finally breathed a sigh of relief.

"I told you no one is coming, but you just don't believe it." Chunxiao opened the door and they went to the yard to take a look. Everything was the same as when they left yesterday. This time they were completely relieved.

"Okay, go back. There's nothing for you to do here." Seeing that nothing was wrong, Zhou urged Yan Bangfa to leave.

"I'm fine too. I'll stay here for a while, or I'll go up the mountain to chop firewood." The weather is still good today.
