Chunxiao let Yan Bingfa go to sleep.
Yan Bangfa didn't go, but stayed with them until the second batch of stoves were sealed. The couple lit a lamp and went to the kitchen to boil water, keeping it warm over a low fire. By the time Chunxiao sealed the stove for the third batch, the water in the previous batch had already cooled, so she had to boil it again. By then, it was almost rooster crow.
After washing, she returned to the house. Zhou was already fast asleep. She climbed onto the bed and fell asleep in a short while. She didn't even have a dream and slept until the afternoon of the next day. When she woke up, she felt hungry and looked for food in the pot. Fortunately, the food was warm in the pot.
She went out with a bowl in her hand. Zhou was helping her father build a chicken coop for the remaining chickens.
After dinner, she started to prepare for the charcoal burning tonight. After dinner, she started the charcoal burning for the second day. On the second day, she had to finish the previous charcoal burning in order, so she worked later on the second day than the first day and slept later.
By the time all the charcoal on the third day was burned out, she finally felt relieved of the pressure, but she actually couldn't sleep in the morning.
When Yan Dashan and the others came over and saw she was still awake, they thought there was something wrong with the charcoal and started asking about it. They were relieved to learn that it was fine. Chunxiao didn't want them to worry, so she watched them work for a while and then went to sleep.
She slept until late in the evening. When she woke up, she suddenly found a new water tank in the front yard. She ran to the kitchen and saw one there and one in the corner of the backyard. The new water tank was delivered so quickly.
"Dad." she called out.
After a while, Yan Bingfa came over. "You woke up and called me for something? Have you eaten the rice in the pot? If you don't, your mother will cook dinner."
"Dad, when was this water tank delivered and how much did it cost?"
"It was delivered at noon, 750 wen, your eldest brother paid for it. There's a deep winnowing basket on the table in the main hall. Your mother said it was custom-made by a bamboo craftsman. I want you to take a look and see if it fits."
Chunxiao then looked back at the table in the main hall. Sure enough, there was a dustpan on the table that was bigger than the tabletop, about a square with a circumference of 1.5 meters. "Where's my mother?"
"I'm helping to set up the tent outside. Wait, I'll call you over."
Yan Bing sent it out, and soon Zhou came in. Seeing her looking at the winnowing basket, she said, "This is what the bamboo craftsman sent today. He asked us to see if it's suitable. He said it uses a lot of bamboo strips, so it costs 14 wen each. If you make a lot, it'll be 13 wen each. I'll tell him tomorrow. What do you think?"
Chunxiao took a look and said, "Okay." It can be used to cover the seedlings, and it can also be used to dry wheat at home in the future. "Then ask him to make 50 for me. A month and a half should be enough."
"One a day is definitely no problem. I'll go talk to you tomorrow. Have you eaten yet?"
Chun Xiao shook her head embarrassedly and pinched the hair that fell on her chest. "I slept too late. Let's have dinner together later. We are all hungry."
"I don't have to endure today."
"Just wait until tonight to collect the coal. You and Dad won't need to help today. Just go to bed on time. I won't sleep. I'll stay up all night to avoid oversleeping and missing work."
Zhou nodded, "Your father and I are building a chicken coop. It's almost done."
