Shang Wu remained silent.
Seeing her so tense, Lu Zheng narrowed his eyes: "What, you're not willing to save me?"
"I……"
Shang Wu paused for a moment, then looked at him: "Why should I save him?"
After she finished speaking, Ruan Yuzhi stared at her in astonishment.
Shang Yun Shen was also surprised: "A Wu? At least save Mom."
Shang Wu chuckled: "Whose mother? Yours or mine? Let Mrs. Shang say for herself, is she my mother?"
Ruan Yuzhi remained expressionless and silent.
Clearly, her silence was a denial.
"She keeps saying she's cut ties with me and that her life or death is none of my business, so why should I save her?"
"Didn't she ignore me back then?"
Shang Wu asked the question slowly and deliberately, with a nonchalant and indifferent smile on her face.
Hearing this, Shang Yun Shen frowned: "But, no matter what, she is still..."
"Alright, I've made my choice. Are you satisfied?" Shang Wu interrupted him and looked at Lu Zheng.

She took out her phone and waved it.

Shang Wu raised an eyebrow, waiting patiently for Lu Zheng to speak.

He glanced at Qianjue.

Shang Wu's breathing became slightly labored.
Ruan Yuzhi finally reacted, raising her head and coldly staring at Lu Zheng.
"You dare? Don't forget you promised Xiaoyun you would never lay a hand on me!"
When did I ever say I was going to lay a hand on you?
Lu Zheng sat at the doorway, far away from them, and lit a cigar.
He put it to his lips but didn't suck; instead, he gestured with his chin toward Shang Yun Shen beside her.
"I am very happy to see that you and your daughter have become so estranged, and that you have lost such an excellent daughter."
"But Shang Wu, it seems like you and your brother have a pretty good relationship, right?"
Qianjue had already walked up to Shang Yunshen and taken out a pair of pliers that she had prepared beforehand.
Shang Yunshen's expression changed.
"What are you going to do to me? Let me tell you, I'm already prepared. As long as my mother and sister are safe, you can do whatever you want to me!"
"No way!" Ruan Yuzhi lost her composure and immediately scolded, "Shang Wu, what are you waiting for! Agree to all of Lu Zheng's conditions!"
Shang Wu paused, looking at her sweating with worry, and felt a tightness in his chest.
She was targeted by Lu Zheng, had no home to return to, nowhere to live, and all her assets were frozen, yet Ruan Yuzhi didn't seem to worry or hesitate for even a second.
From beginning to end, she was the only one who was soft-hearted.
Shang Wu was disheartened.
She gave Ruan Yuzhi a cold glance.
"Go ahead and do it, I don't care about the merchants."
Ruan Yuzhi's face turned pale instantly.
Shang Yun Shen didn't react much; instead, he breathed a sigh of relief and straightened his back with an open and honest demeanor.
"Don't hurt my sister and my mother. If you have a problem, come at me."
Shang Wu's eyes flickered.
Shang Yun Shen looked at her and smiled gently: "Don't feel pressured. Since I got out of prison, I've been very grateful to you. There's nothing I can do to repay you, so I'm going all out this time. Do whatever you want."
Qianjue scoffed: "Don't talk big. Do you know how I'm going to deal with you?"
He shook the pliers in his hand.
"I'm going to use this thing to pull your nails off, piece by piece, all of them."
Shang Yun Shen was stunned for a moment, then his eyes hardened.
"Whatever, I'll play along to the end."
Ruan Yuzhi's voice trembled: "No! Lu Zheng, don't hurt my son!"
"Then let Shang Wu sign the contract, and you too, you kneel down!"
Lu Zheng stared coldly at Ruan Yuzhi.
Ruan Yuzhi looked up and stared intently at Shang Wu.
"You saw it, your brother would do anything for you, and what about you! Just to see Lu Rang, you're going to stand by and watch your brother be tortured?"
Shang Wu twitched her lips.
Ruan Yuzhi will never see her plight.
"Stop pushing me."
Shang Wu raised an eyebrow: "Lu Zheng told you to kneel down. If you don't kneel, it's no use me signing the contract. Come on, whether you can keep your son's hand or not depends on you."
Lu Zheng burst out laughing.
"I love watching mothers and daughters kill each other."
Shang Wu watched Ruan Yuzhi quietly, his eyes filled with indifference.
Ruan Yuzhi gritted her teeth, a painful struggle appearing in her eyes.
Qianjue frowned, grabbed Shang Yunshen's hand, and pretended to pull out his fingernails with pliers.
Just a second before the cold pincers touched Shang Yun Shen, Ruan Yuzhi finally couldn't take it anymore and screamed.
"etc!"
Shang Wu's eyes narrowed, and she froze.
Ruan Yuzhi's face was pale, and she murmured, "Xiaoyun told you not to make things difficult for the merchants..."
Shang Wu found it ridiculous.
Ruan Yuzhi looked like this, something she had never seen before when Lu Zheng threatened her.
Ruan Yuzhi did not hesitate for even a second regarding her situation.
Shang Wu clenched the contract in her hand, and seeing that Qian Jue was still holding down Shang Yun Shen, she closed her eyes.
"Stop fooling around, can't you see? Madam Shang will never kneel before you. Don't waste your time. Lu made me disappear. I'll sign the contract and release Shang Yun Shen, right now."
After Shang Wu finished speaking, she signed the contract and threw it at him.
