Chapter 167 No Lies

After a long pause, Shang Wu took a deep breath.

"Sorry, I got a little agitated. I didn't mean anything by it. I have a meeting to attend, so I'm hanging up now."

After saying that, she hung up on Shang Yun Shen without waiting for his reaction and leaned back wearily in her chair.

Now she completely ignores the merchants.

She was even more afraid that Lu Rang would feel burdened because of these things.

On one hand, he wanted to be with her, but on the other hand, he wanted his mother's spirit to rest in peace and not get involved with his enemies.

How conflicted must one be?

Shang Wu sorted out her thoughts alone.

Even when faced with the biggest challenges, she strives to be a punctual and trustworthy person at the company.

Ten minutes later, Shang Wu didn't give herself much time to process these emotions. She straightened her clothes, stood up, and went to the meeting room.

At noon, a series of delicious dishes were served to her, all of which were her favorite stir-fries.

When Aying brought the dishes in and placed them in front of her, her mouth watered.

Shang Wu glanced at her.

"Sit down and eat together."

Aying's stomach rumbled, and she smiled shyly, "It's okay, I'll just eat at the cafeteria."

Shang Wu gave her a disgruntled look.

"Eat what you want, why are you being shy? Besides, there's so much food, how can I possibly finish it all?"

Aying smiled, sat down, and handed her a pair of chopsticks.

"Attorney Lu is still the most caring and considerate. Before, I only heard that guy surnamed Zhou talking big about how much he cared for me, but Attorney Lu personally prepared the meals and delivered them downstairs."

Shang Wu paused, not expecting that Lu Rang would not only make it, but also personally deliver it.

She looked up at Aying.

"Where is he? Why didn't he come up?"

"Attorney Lu said he had something to take care of, I think it was to the cemetery. I don't know if this is something I should discuss, but when I met him, I saw a bunch of candles and paper money in his car, the kind you burn for the dead."

Ah Ying deliberately lowered her voice, as if she felt it was somewhat unlucky.

Shang Wu slowly tightened her grip on her chopsticks; no matter how delicious the dishes in front of her were, she lost all interest in eating.

Lu Rang must have gone to see his mother or his brother.

As expected, what Lu Zheng said still made him feel very uncomfortable.

Shang Wu's eyes gradually hardened.

"Go find me an umbrella and have the driver take me to the cemetery. I want to see him."

Aying didn't ask any more questions, nodded, and went to prepare.

It was drizzling outside.

Shang Wu took a car to the cemetery.

Shang Wu also knew that Yu Ruyun was buried here.

Lu Rang's mother had stated in her will that she did not wish to be buried in the Yu family cemetery.

She felt that the place was a prison and wanted to be a free person, buried in a cemetery like an ordinary person.

The Yu family arranged a burial plot for her, but it was the most expensive plot available, the kind that ordinary people couldn't afford.

To highlight the identity of the Yu family.

When Shang Wu entered, the security personnel wouldn't have let her near if she hadn't given Lu Rang's name and shown photos and various chat logs to prove her relationship with him.

Holding an umbrella, Shang Wu could see Lu Rang standing tall and imposing in front of the tomb from a distance, exuding a chilling aura. He was dressed in a black suit.

She felt a pang of sadness watching him, sighed, and quietly walked over to help him open the umbrella.

Lu Rang paused slightly when he saw her arrive.

How did you know I was here?
