Besides, Lincheng is her home turf.
Just as Shang Wu was trying to find a reason to refuse, Lu Ranghui spoke up first.
“Sure, since Mr. Chen insists on trying this restaurant, let him come along.”
Shang Wu turned around and asked Lu Rang with her eyes.
Lu Rang was even more reluctant to be disturbed than she was, so why is he suddenly being so easy to talk to now?
Lu Rang gave her a reassuring look, then looked up at Chen Chunzhi.
"The car I brought to pick up A-Wu today is a sports car, which can only seat two people. If you want to come along, you can drive yourself."
"It's alright, I know my place and won't be a third wheel and hang out with you guys."
Chen Chunzhi smiled brightly, and after speaking, he shook the car keys in his hand to indicate to Lu Rang not to worry.
Seeing that the two of them were relaxed and getting along well, Shang Wu felt at ease.
She said softly, "Okay, let's go together then."
She turned and got into the car next to her. She waited for Lu Rang to come around and drive.
Lu Rang narrowed his eyes and looked at Chen Chunzhi, warning him in a low voice so that Shang Wu couldn't hear him.
"If you insist on making a fool of yourself, I'll grant your wish."
Chen Chunzhi raised an eyebrow with a grin: "Didn't you say I was just a fly you wouldn't even notice? Don't underestimate the power of a fly; sometimes it can ruin a dish."
A faint murderous intent filled Lu Rang's eyes.
Shang Wu looked over with a puzzled expression, as if wondering why the two of them were chatting outside.
Lu Rang caught a glimpse of her confused expression out of the corner of his eye and suppressed his arrogance.
"You don't want to compete with me."
After saying that, he got into the car without looking back.
Lu Rang felt no sense of crisis whatsoever regarding this man.
The things he and Shang Wu have gone through since they met are not the kind of ordinary love that anyone can easily replace.
Ordinary methods of pursuing someone simply cannot move Shang Wu.
He was well aware of this.
The three of them drove to the restaurant one after the other. As soon as they got out of the car, Lu Rang grabbed Shang Wu's chin and kissed her lips.
Chen Chunzhi paused, watching from behind, his face turning almost green.
Shang Wu responded by kissing Lu Rang's lips and smiling shyly.
"What are you doing? Mr. Chen is watching."
"No." Lu Rang lowered his eyes and glanced indifferently at Chen Chunzhi not far away.
"I believe Mr. Chen won't mind. Isn't this the kind of issue you always face when you go out to dinner with a couple?"
"Yes, yes, yes." Chen Chunzhi laughed nonchalantly, "As long as President Shang doesn't think I'm a third wheel, that's fine."
Shang Wu exchanged pleasantries with him and then pulled Lu Rang inside.
After she climbed the steps, she glanced at Chen Chunzhi, who was a few steps behind, and couldn't help but lower her voice.
"Why are you arguing with him? You even kissed me in front of him on purpose. He's only interested in the food in this restaurant, not me."
Lu Rang looked at Shang Wu in silence for a few seconds, then blurted out helplessly, "Have you rarely been pursued by anyone growing up?"
Shang Wu was surprised, wondering why he would suddenly say this.
However, after thinking about it carefully, it seemed to be true.
She was exceptionally beautiful when she was young, and she received a lot of love letters during junior and senior high school.
In order to focus on her studies during college, Shang Wu lied to the university that she was not single and had a boyfriend. In addition, she devoted herself to design, so boys who had feelings for her and wanted to pursue her would all back down.
Shang Wu heard about the suitor from her roommates.
Therefore, apart from Zhou Yanci, no one else pursued her openly.
Shang Wu hesitated before asking, "Why are you asking this?"
Lu Rang smiled slightly: "No wonder."
He left behind three words that left Shang Wu completely baffled, and then pulled her inside with him.
Shang Wu glanced at Chen Chunzhi and saw several waiters surrounding him, leading him to another private room.
She then sat down with Lu Rang in the reserved seats.
Chen Chunzhi didn't show up at all during the meal, as if he had only come to the restaurant to eat.
Lu Rang knew that this was just Chen Chunzhi's strategy.
It's fine to come over for a meal, or even just to make your presence known, but it's annoying when someone insists on getting in the middle of the meal and disturbing us.
This is a man with a very good sense of propriety.
Before leaving, Shang Wu paid for Chen Chunzhi's bill and left a note.
The note read: "[Since Mr. Chen has come all this way, this meal is on my behalf. I hope we have a pleasant cooperation and the contract is signed smoothly. Have a great time.]"
Shang Wu didn't intend to write it in such an official style.
But thinking about it carefully, Lu Rang's act of kissing her in front of her to assert his ownership should be due to a lack of security.
Shang Wu then used the content of the note to clearly maintain distance and keep basic social etiquette.
She emphasized that the dinner invitation was simply a meal that she, as the host, should treat everyone to.
Lu Rang watched her write down the note the whole time, his eyes darkening slightly.
As Shang Wu followed him out of the restaurant, she joked, "You can rest assured now, right?"
Lu Rang asked, "What are you worried about?"
"Chen Chunzhi has no designs on me whatsoever. Even if he did, seeing this note would have put him out of the game."
"Not necessarily, these kinds of people are the most shameless."
Lu Rang's tone carried a hint of emotion.
Shang Wu was both amused and exasperated, and went to hug him.
"Okay, then I promise that I will never have any private contact with Chen Chunzhi again, except for work-related matters. Can you rest assured now?"
Lu Rang's expression softened, and he said in a low voice, "I don't necessarily want you to do this, I just..."
