Why?
Lu Rang couldn't understand it.
Every time he felt something was amiss, she always managed to make him loathe and distance himself from her in the most disgusting way.
Shang Wu knew she had never been sincere with him.

The sports car drove several blocks away, until it was completely far from the company and that suffocating figure, before Shang Wu suddenly pulled the car over to the side of the road.
The allure and passion she had just maintained vanished instantly from her face, leaving only a near-exhausted pallor.
She loosened her grip on the steering wheel, her fingertips still trembling slightly.
Chen Chunzhi rubbed his arm, which she had pinched painfully, and sighed helplessly as he watched her expression change instantly.
"Miss Shang, you're being way too obvious with your use of me. You don't treat someone like a tool like this. That was my first on-screen kiss just now, it almost scared me to death."
Shang Wu didn't look at him, but stared at the endless stream of cars outside the window, her voice calm and even, with a hint of tired hoarseness.

Back at her hotel, Shang Wu immediately booked the earliest flight back to Yecheng for the next day.
She felt suffocated in Lincheng, a place she could stay for even a second longer.
She just wanted to escape everything related to Lu Rang immediately.
After taking a shower, Shang Wu collapsed onto the bed, exhausted, but couldn't fall asleep.
Everything that happened during the day, especially Lu Rang's cold yet complex gaze and her deliberately misplaced kiss, kept replaying in her mind, bringing waves of heart palpitations.
Just as she was tossing and turning, there was a sudden, urgent knocking on the door.
Thump! Thump! Thump!
The voice was heavy, unlike that of a hotel staff member.
Shang Wu's heart skipped a beat, and she sat up alertly: "Who?"
There was no answer from outside the door, only more urgent and forceful knocking.
An ominous premonition rose in my heart.
Shang Wu cautiously walked behind the door and looked out through the peephole.
Under the corridor lights, Lu Rang's tall figure leaned against her door panel, his head down, his expression unreadable, but he exuded an aura of extreme danger and loss of control.
How did he find this place?
Shang Wu was so frightened that her heart almost stopped.
Lu Rang, standing outside the door, seemed to have lost his patience. His voice was hoarse as he urged, "Shang Wu, open the door."
His condition was clearly not right.
Afraid that he would attract other guests, Shang Wu gritted her teeth and suddenly pulled open the door!
The moment the door opened, a strong smell of alcohol mixed with his familiar, cold aura rushed out.
Immediately afterwards, Lu Rang shoved her into the room.
Shang Wu gasped and stumbled backward, but before she hit the wall, a hand cushioned her fall between her and the wall.
Even so, when she bumped into Lu Rang's protruding finger bone, she was in so much pain that her vision went black.
Before she could react, hot, alcohol-scented lips pressed down on hers, silencing all her surprise.
The kiss was anything but gentle; it was full of predation.
Lu Rang's arms gripped her tightly like iron clamps, squeezing her so hard that her bones ached, as if he wanted to crush her and swallow her whole.
Shang Wu's mind went blank; all that remained was shock.
She struggled desperately, pushing against his firm chest with both hands, but she couldn't budge him an inch.
It wasn't until she felt the stinging pain of being bitten on her lips that she snapped back to reality and used all her strength to push Lu Rang away.
She gasped and shouted, "Lu Rang! Are you crazy?!"
In the dim light, Shang Wu could only feel his heavy, hot breath on her neck and hear the frantic pounding of his heart.
“Yes, I’m insane.” Lu Rang’s voice was terribly hoarse, heavy with alcohol and filled with a kind of confusion she had never heard before. “I’m just insane to…”
He didn't finish his sentence, but suddenly lowered his head to find her lips.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, Shang Wu suddenly reached out and touched the light switch on the wall!
"Smack!"
The blinding white light instantly illuminated the room.
It also illuminated Lu Rang's face, which was very close to his.
His face was flushed an unnatural red, his eyes were wild, and there was even a trace of blood on his skin from her struggles.
More importantly, his exposed neck and wrists were covered with obvious red rashes.
Alcohol allergy.
Shang Wu's pupils contracted sharply. Ignoring her own disheveled state, she pushed him away with all her might, her voice distorted with fear and anger.

"Why is it that even though I find you utterly disgusting, even though I know you're a woman who lies all the time, I still can't let go..."
"I can't stand seeing you with other men. I must be crazy to treat a woman like you like this..."
His voice gradually faded as his body slid down the wall.
The alcohol and allergic reactions came on fiercely, and Lu Rang's consciousness began to blur.
Can't let go?
Will it hurt?
