Yan Yue was dressed in a suit and wore gold-rimmed glasses, looking very capable.
His gaze swept over Lu Rang and Shang Wu's clasped hands, and his smile deepened.
"You've finally arrived! Miss Shang, it's been a long time."
He extended his hand warmly, and Shang Wu released Lu Rang, shook his hand gently, and smiled, "Attorney Yan."
Yan Yue immediately stepped aside to lead them inside, saying, "Come, come, have a look at our law firm. It may not be as big as some of the larger firms, but it's not bad either."
Shang Wu looked up and saw large silver characters: RW Firm.
There was no one at the front desk, but the glass door opened automatically.
The law firm is located on the middle floor of a rather modern office building in the city center, with a simple and clean modern style in its decoration.
The main color scheme of black, white, and gray is accented with calm blue, exuding an air of professionalism and composure.
The office area wasn't very large, but the workstations were neatly arranged, and two legal assistants were engrossed in their work.
When the two saw them come in, they both looked up curiously to take a look.
They were especially surprised when they saw their boss holding the hand of a beautiful woman tightly.
Lu Rang led Shang Wu by the hand and introduced her to everyone.
"This is the common office area, the meeting room is over there, my office is at the end, and Yan Yue's is next to mine."
As I approached Lu Rang's office, a nameplate hung on the dark wooden door.
Shang Wu's gaze fell on the brand name and she froze.
Two nameplates hang side by side on the door.
"Lu Rang, the chief lawyer."
The other one is: "Shang Wu, partner (lover)".
The note for "lover" was written in a slightly smaller but still clear cursive font.
It was a solemn declaration, yet tinged with a hint of personal agenda.
Shang Wu blushed, and her heart skipped a beat.
She turned to look at Lu Rang, her eyes filled with surprise: "Partner?"
Lu Rang smiled and said, "Yes, you hold 70% of the shares, and I hold 28%."
Yan Yue grinned foolishly and leaned over, giving a peace sign.
"I'm stupid."
Shang Wu chuckled: "I can tell."
Yan Yue: "?" Something seems off.
Shang Wu blinked: "Why is the latter part specifically marked?"
Looking at the words "lover," Lu Rang said calmly, "The note is to ward off unwanted suitors and avoid trouble."
Yan Yue very "tactfully" added: "Yes, yes, Miss Shang, you don't know, these past few days since the law firm opened, several female clients' representatives have wanted to meet with our Attorney Lu for in-depth discussions on legal issues after finishing their cases, which really annoyed Lu Rang! Now that he's taken, the signboard is up, and things will be peaceful!"
Shang Wu couldn't help but laugh, and whispered, "Who is your lover..."
"You've already put the ring on, and you still want to renege on your promise?" Lu Rang held her hand with the ring on it, his eyes filled with undisguised tenderness.
After the tour, Yan Yue suggested, "It's lunchtime, let's call Sister You and go out for a meal to celebrate?"
Lu Rang took out his phone: "Let me ask her if she's coming now."
He had previously sent Lu You the location of the law firm.
The phone rang for a long time but no one answered.
Lu Rang frowned slightly and typed it again, but it was still the same.
"He didn't answer; he's probably still eating." Lu Rang put down his phone.
Yan Yue shrugged: "Never mind then, I guess Sister You has her own plans. Shall the three of us go? I know a nice new Cantonese restaurant that just opened nearby. Doesn't Miss Shang like Cantonese food?"
“Alright.” Lu Rang nodded and looked at Shang Wu.
Shang Wu naturally had no objections.
After arriving at the restaurant, the three of them enjoyed a pleasant meal.
After the meal, Yan Yue returned to the law firm to handle some matters, while Lu Rang drove Shang Wu back to her studio.
“I have a client to meet this afternoon,” Lu Rang said, opening the car door for Shang Wu and gently patting her hair. “Go back and rest for a bit, pack your things, and I’ll pick you up tomorrow.”
"Pick me up?" Shang Wu asked, puzzled.
"Hmm," Lu Rang leaned down and lightly pecked her lips, his gaze intense, "Move in with me, do you want to separate from me?"
Shang Wu blushed again and nodded gently: "Okay."
When Shang Wu returned to the studio, she specifically asked A Ying to come and help tidy up the next day.
When she woke up and went downstairs, Aying was organizing her design drafts.
Seeing Shang Wu return, A Ying greeted him with a smile: "President Shang, it seems the storm has passed?"
Shang Wu nodded, stretched out her hand and looked at the ring, her eyes shining: "After going through such a long and winding road, and experiencing so many things, in the end... it's still him."
Aying was also happy for her: "Yes, Lu Lu only has you in his heart. Although the process was a bit complicated, the result is good. Congratulations."
As the two were talking, the studio door was suddenly pushed open with a loud bang!
Cheng Zhou rushed in looking panicked, his hair disheveled, his clothes in disarray, and there was even a suspicious red mark on his face.
When he saw Shang Wu, it was as if he had seen a savior; he rushed over and almost knelt down.
"Awu! Help me! It's all over! I'm really going to die this time!"
Shang Wu and A Ying were both taken aback by his display of force.
"What's wrong? What happened?" Shang Wu quickly poured him a glass of water. "Tell me slowly."
Cheng Zhou, his face contorted with grief, stammered, "It's Lu You! Lu Rang's sister! Last night...we had dinner together, right? Then we drank too much, and I don't know what happened. When I woke up, I was in my own bed, and she was sleeping next to me! We...we..."
He didn't finish his sentence, but the meaning couldn't be clearer.
Shang Wu gasped, her eyes widening instantly: "You and Sister You..."
