"Awu, we've finally met!"
Shang Wu smiled, her usually cold expression softening under the chandelier.
She patted Tang Shirley on the back: "It's been a long time. Welcome back to take charge of the Tang family business."
"Hmph, I've been in office for half a year already, and you're only now coming to welcome me!" Tang Xueli, dressed in a black women's suit, looked rather unapproachable, yet she pouted and acted coquettishly towards Shang Wu.
Shang Wu, holding her hand, smiled apologetically: "We've both been incredibly busy, haven't we? If it weren't for that, I wouldn't have been unable to see you for so long."
The way the two reminisced suggested that they not only knew each other, but were actually quite familiar with each other.
Wenxiang stared wide-eyed, looking back and forth at them in astonishment.
Shang Wu then realized she hadn't introduced them yet, so she reached out to Tang Xueli and joked, "President Tang, she's my roommate and dining buddy when I was studying abroad."
Tang Xueli chuckled speechlessly, then extended her hand to Wen Xiang: "Hello, Mr. Wen, welcome to our company's project department. However, since you just left Chengzhou and are still related to me, I can only arrange for you to be a project team leader first, starting with inconspicuous projects, so as not to attract Chengzhou's attention. How about that?"
Wenxiang turned to look at Shangwu and finally understood what she meant by guaranteeing him a good place to go even if he lost his job.
Unexpectedly, after the business collapsed, the innocent and kind-hearted little princess of the business, who had been innocent and kind since childhood, became the strongest support for these older brothers.
Shang Wu, who keeps her word, is quite like the former CEO Shang, and like CEO Shang, she has the ability to make people work for her.
Wenxiang replied without hesitation, "I'd be happy if Mr. Tang could just give me a job, I'll do anything!"
Tang Shirley smiled, turned around and gestured for the two to sit down.
Shang Wu picked up her coffee, took a sip, placed the gilded document on the table, and pushed it over.
"This is the new contract, take a look."
Tang Xueli opened the box and saw the price: "The cost price is 180, and you've reduced it to 170?"
Shang Wu laughed: "I can't let you act for me for nothing. I have to give you some compensation."
"You're willing to give me a reward worth over 100 million, but I'd be embarrassed to accept it. Besides, it was just a small favor for me, and it won't affect the Tang family."
At this point, Tang Xueli nodded to Wenxiang: "I've gained another talented person to work for me. I've hit the jackpot, haven't I?"
Shang Wu looked at her seriously, his gaze intense: "No, you deserve these benefits from me because you have done me a great favor. In any case, please accept this contract and keep it a secret. Do not expose our relationship when we were studying abroad."
Tang Shirley realized that the elaborate scheme she had orchestrated was for something big to do in the future, and she immediately put away her joking thoughts.
She picked up the document and readily signed her name in the contract's signature area.
"Then I shall respectfully comply."
Shang Wu shook hands with her: "Thank you."
Tang Xueli smiled, recalling the time when she was kicked out of her landlord's house in the middle of the night with a fever, thinking she had nowhere to go but to sleep under a bridge, and Shang Wu took her home directly.
She said, slowly and deliberately, "Let's not talk about this between us. Whatever you do in the future, Ah Wu, I wish you all your dreams come true and a bright future."
Shang Wu nodded solemnly.
Ten minutes later, she rushed to the boat with the contract in hand.
President's Office.
Zhou's father had already gone home.
The shareholders were also waiting in the conference room, drinking tea.
Only Zhou Yanci, her mother, and Ji Yu, who had just arrived, remained in the office.
Ji Yu leaned back on the sofa, glanced at the time, and said impatiently, "Does she really have the ability to persuade President Tang to cancel the contract? This is not child's play. Why would anyone give up such a huge benefit?"
“That’s right, Yan Ci, I think it was too hasty of you to promise Shang Wu the position of project manager.” Zhou’s mother also chimed in.
Zhou Yanci said indifferently, "You guys are really contradictory. On one hand, you don't believe Shang Wu can do it, but on the other hand, you're afraid that she will manage to take the project manager's position. What's the point of that?"
Ji Yu rolled her eyes and snorted, "Shang Wu is indeed quite skilled at designing jewelry, but she has never cared about the project department. If she can resolve this contract issue, I'll kneel down and kowtow to her right now!"
"Then go ahead and kowtow."
Shang Wu's voice suddenly rang out, and the office door was pushed open.
