Chapter 325 Showing Affection

Lu Yuwu held the agreement, feeling her palms burning hot.

She looked at the genuine tenderness and protectiveness in Madam Fu's eyes, and then at Fu Yan.

Fu smiled, looking completely willing, and raised an eyebrow to indicate that she should accept it.

Lu Yuwu's eyes reddened.

How fortunate she was to have met Fu Yan, and to have such a reasonable and genuinely loving Fu family.

"Thank you, Auntie... thank you." She choked up, not knowing what else to say besides thanking her.

Fu Yan walked to her side, gently put his arm around her shoulder, and solemnly promised Shang Wu and Lu Rang: "Aunt Shang, Uncle Lu, don't worry, I, Fu Yan, will never betray Lu Yuwu in this life."

"This agreement will never come into effect."

Shang Wu nodded, finally relieved.

Her daughter was luckier than her.

I have never met the wrong person, nor have I experienced any setbacks.

She was also satisfied with Fu Yan.

Sunlight streamed through the windows into the living room, illuminating the young lovers embracing, their hearts finally coming together.

Everyone around him smiled with relief.

Time flows quietly like water, but they will be together forever.

...

After discussing the engagement arrangements for the two children, Shang Wu began to focus on recovering from her illness.

Under Lu Rang's meticulous care, she recovered quickly, her complexion gradually became rosy, and she was in good spirits.

The house was filled with laughter and warmth once again.

...

Sunlight streamed lazily through the kitchen window, spilling onto the countertop.

Lu Yuwu was carefully guarding the casserole, where a medicinal chicken soup to replenish blood was simmering.

She held a cookbook in her hand, her brows slightly furrowed, and muttered to herself as she checked the steps.

Shang Wu, wearing a soft wool shawl, quietly walked to the kitchen door. Looking at Lu Yuwu's focused back, her eyes were filled with a gentle smile.

She didn't make a sound to disturb them, but simply enjoyed the heartwarming scene quietly.

Once upon a time, the little girl who used to whine and act spoiled in her arms has grown into a young woman who can cook and clean for her.

"Mom! Why are you up?"

When Lu Yuwu turned around and saw her mother, she quickly put down the recipe book, walked over, and took her arm.

"The doctor said you need to rest more. Go back and lie down. I'll bring you the soup when it's ready."

"Lying down for too long makes your bones feel weak, get up and move around."

Shang Wu smiled and let her daughter support her, her gaze fixed on the bubbling clay pot.

“Our Xiaowu has really grown up; she can even make soup now.”

"That's right!" Lu Yuwu raised her chin, a hint of pride in her voice. "I've been learning from my aunt for a long time! I guarantee it will taste absolutely amazing!"

As she spoke, she added somewhat shyly, "Although it may not be as good as my dad's cooking."

Shang Wu was amused by her and gently pinched her cheek: "In Mom's heart, what you make will always be the most delicious."

In the living room, Lu Rang was sitting on the sofa dealing with emails.

Hearing the conversation between the mother and daughter in the kitchen, he looked up, his gaze passing through the doorway and landing on them, his cold and hard features softening unconsciously.

The sunlight outlined their figures, and a faint medicinal fragrance filled the air.

This is the existence he would do anything to protect.

The doorbell rang before the meal was ready.

Lu Yuwu ran to open the door, where Fu Yan and Madam Fu were standing.

Fu Yan was wearing a dark cashmere coat, his posture was upright, and the injury on his shoulder seemed to have healed.

He was carrying delicate pastries and a bouquet of elegant champagne roses.

"Auntie, Xiaowu."

Fu Yan handed the flowers to Lu Yuwu, his gaze lingering on her face for a moment before turning to Shang Wu, who was walking over.

"Aunt Shang, how are you feeling today?"

"I'm much better, come in and have a seat." Shang Wu smiled and welcomed them into the room.

Madam Fu pulled Shang Wu to sit down on the sofa, carefully examined her complexion, and nodded with satisfaction.

"You do look much better. It seems that Lu Rang and Xiao Wu have taken good care of you."

Lu Rang also put down his work and came over to talk to him.

The conversation naturally turned to the children's engagement ceremony.

Mrs. Fu took out her tablet with great interest and looked through several venue layout plans and dress styles sent by the designer, seeking opinions from Shang Wu and Lu Yuwu.

"I think this Chinese-style courtyard is very nice; it's elegant and festive."

Madam Fu pointed to a picture of a classical garden.

Lu Yuwu leaned over to watch, her eyes sparkling, and whispered to Fu Yan about the details, her face radiating the sweetness and anticipation unique to a girl about to be married.

Although Fu Yan didn't say much, his gaze always followed her, occasionally offering suggestions in a low voice, his eyes full of doting affection.

Shang Wu and Lu Rang exchanged a smile as they watched the two children interacting so harmoniously.

As the sun sets in the west,

Lu You and Cheng Zhou also brought Xiao Chenyu over for a visit.

As soon as the little guy entered the door, he toddled in with his short legs, giggling as he jumped into Shang Wu's arms, calling out in his childish voice, "Auntie! Chenyu missed you!"

Shang Wu's heart melted instantly. She hugged the little guy and kissed his soft cheeks: "Auntie misses Chenyu too."

Seeing his son clinging to Shang Wu, Cheng Zhou chuckled and teased Lu Rang, "Looks like our little guy will be good at making his elders happy in the future."

Lu Rang rarely showed a relaxed smile, and handed Cheng Zhou a cup of tea: "Like his father, he has high emotional intelligence."

Lu You then pulled Shang Wu aside and carefully inquired about her follow-up examination. He also told her about some interesting things that had happened recently, which made Shang Wu laugh continuously.

Dinner was cooked by Lu Rang himself, consisting of a few simple home-style dishes, yet they were all delicious and visually appealing.
