A faint fragrance wafted through the coffee shop.
Lu Rang sat by the window, one seat away, looking at Shang Wu who was drinking coffee.
He heard the sound of a door opening behind him, and turned his gaze to the person who had entered.
The man who had been on the computer screen just hours before, whom he had described as "not bad looking," strode over.
He looked even more lifeless than in the photos on the screen, like a walking corpse, with a gloomy gaze.
"Did you contact me?"
Zhou Zean walked to the table, ignoring the woman sitting behind him.
Lu Rang pushed a file bag over.
"have a look."
Zhou Zean sat down, read through the contents of the document, and remained completely unmoved.
"Finished watching? And then what?"
Lu Rang said in a calm tone, "Haven't you always wanted to remove Zhou Yanci from the position of heir? With this readily available evidence, it's easy to bring him down."
Zhou Ze'an smiled noncommittally, not particularly interested in what he was saying.
He carefully examined the man in front of him.
Dressed in a suit and tie, with a top-notch appearance, he didn't look like someone who was working for free.
"Tell me, who did you come here for? Or, who sent you to instigate me to deal with Zhou Yanci?"
Shang Wu took a sip of coffee behind him.
She is indeed clever; no wonder she can go toe-to-toe with Zhou Yanci.
Lu Rang said, "Is this important? The evidence I've provided is enough to put Zhou Yanci in check; that's what you should be focusing on."
"It seems the person behind you is unwilling to come forward."
Zhou Zean leaned back, with only the soft sofa cushions separating him from Shang Wu.
He said coldly, "Then there's no point. The one who really wants to use someone else to do the dirty work isn't willing to come out, so what's there to talk about? Goodbye."
Shang Wu felt a slight tightness in her chest and immediately put down her coffee cup.
If that doesn't work, then she'll have to step forward and speak to Zhou Ze'an herself.
She was about to stand up when she suddenly heard a thud, and something was placed on their table.
Then, Lu Rang's voice rang out.
"Can we sit down now and talk this out?"
Zhou Ze'an was silent for two seconds, then gasped, as if he had seen something that was very unexpected.

"My mother ate something wrong a few years ago and damaged her heart. Only Zhou Yanci's family doctor could prescribe the medicine, which included a specialized drug developed by a medical institution invested in by Zhou Yanci."
He smiled bitterly: "Back then, the shareholders were clearly planning to sign the papers to make me their heir, but unfortunately, I could only save my mother's life first."

Zhou Ze'an narrowed his eyes: "Why should I be a sitting duck? I've already said that only Zhou Yanci can give me the medicine. If I offend him, what will happen to my mother?"
