There was a knock on the door of the CEO's office.
Aying came in carrying documents and saw Shangwu proofreading data in front of the computer screen.
Aying walked over and smiled gently: "President Shang, are you in a good mood?"
Shang Wu turned to look at her, curious: "How did you know?"
Aying shrugged: "I don't know, I just felt that you were in a bad mood the other day, but you seem to be in a much better mood today. Is it because you've resolved the thing that was bothering you?"
Shang Wu's eyes flickered: "Was it obvious that I was unhappy the other day?"
“Very obvious.”
Ah Ying smiled and pointed to the coffee candy next to her.
"You haven't been eating your favorite candy much the past couple of days."
"My favorite candy."
Shang Wu repeated her words, seemingly lost in thought, holding the coffee candy.
At that moment, Lu Rang appeared outside and knocked on the door.
Shang Wu immediately opened the drawer, stuffed the coffee candy inside, and then closed it again.
Aying stared blankly at it, put down the document, and quickly turned and left.
Lu let her in and placed two documents in front of her.
"Open it and take a look."
Shang Wu untied the string binding the file bag, read through the documents, and couldn't help but hold her breath.
She stood up, unable to remain calm: "You've brought up all the cases involving my father's trusted confidants back then?"
“Some of the inspectors in this case have probably been bribed by Zhou Yanci. We need to find a way to get the list of inspectors.”
Shang Wu pondered for a moment: "They should all have been reassigned to various places. If we go to the people in the Supervision Department, we might be able to get an internal list."
Lu Rang placed several more business cards in front of her: "Pick a target that's close to you."
Shang Wu looked down and saw that the list was full of people at the level of team leaders in the supervision department.
She raised an eyebrow in surprise, not expecting Lu Rang to have even prepared this for her.
She glanced at the business cards and saw a lecherous man who seemed to have been immersed in the world of drinking for a long time.
Shang Wu picked up the business card.
"Let's go with him, Wang Qizheng? He seems easier to use."
Lu Rang's eyes flickered slightly: "I've checked for you. He's a womanizer and a heavy drinker."
Shang Wu blinked: "With my looks, I shouldn't be unable to meet the basic requirements for making a living, right?"
Lu Rang pursed his lips and gave her a deep look.
Shang Wu carefully put away all the documents and business cards.
"I'm going to ask him out tonight."
Lu Rang: "I'll go with you."
Shang Wu did not refuse.
Since it's a drinking session, it's better to bring a man along for backup.
Suddenly, the landline on the table rang.
Shang Wu answered the landline call.
The receptionist's voice came through clearly.
"Mr. Shang, Mr. Zhou is here. He says he has something to give you and would like to come upstairs."
Shang Wu frowned.
Ever since Zhou Yanci came to the company last time, she has specifically instructed the receptionist and security guards downstairs to refuse entry to anyone who is not an employee or has no appointment.
Even Zhou Yanci was no exception.
She thought for a moment, then said impatiently, "Fine, let him come up."
Lu Rang was about to leave when he heard this and stopped in his tracks.
Shang Wu hung up the phone and looked at him.
"Don't you still have things to do? Everything that needed to be delivered has been delivered. You can go now."
Lu Rang walked up to her.
"I just remembered there's something else I need to tell you."
Shang Wu gestured for him to sit on the sofa: "You can talk to him after Zhou Yanci leaves."
The person had already arrived before the words were even finished.
Zhou Yanci pushed open the door and came in, carrying a box in her hand, accompanied by a faint sweet smell.
Shang Wu remained expressionless as she watched him enter.
Zhou Yanci felt somewhat disgusted when she saw Lu Rang there.
What are you doing here again?
Lu Rang glanced at him, ignored him, and picked up the tea on the table and took a sip.
Zhou Yanci took a deep breath, walked straight to Shang Wu, and placed the box in front of her.
He smiled and said, "Open it and take a look."
Shang Wu recognized the packaging as belonging to the dessert shop she frequented.
She showed no intention of opening it, raising her eyes to look coldly at Zhou Yanci.
"Why are you bothering me with such trivial matters? I've already told you, I'm usually very busy, and there are many things at the company that I need to handle right now."
Zhou Yanci smiled and said, "I just came up to bring you some of your favorite food, don't be angry."
After saying that, he glanced at Lu Rang with displeasure: "Besides, if someone can sit here and drink tea, why can't I come in and bother you for two minutes?"
Lu Rang glanced at him coldly: "I have a job."
Zhou Yanci ignored him and opened the box.
"Awu, look, these are all your favorite foods."
Shang Wu glanced at the cream puffs and donuts inside the box.
The foods she used to love now felt disgusting when Zhou Yanci brought them to her.
Shang Wu pulled the box to the corner of the table, sat down, and continued working.
"You've delivered the items, so you can go now."
Zhou Yanci showed no intention of leaving, glancing around.
This office used to be where he sat and managed the entire group, but now it belongs to Shang Wu.
He even needs someone to announce his presence before he can enter the company.
Just bear with it, endure it for a while longer.
Zhou Yanci composed herself and suppressed the strange glint in her eyes.
He said softly, "Awu, now that your parents have recovered and are adjusting well, how about our two families meet for dinner tonight and set a wedding date?"
Shang Wu and Lu Rang paused for a moment.
“After all, we’ve been engaged for three years, it’s about time we started planning things, right?” Zhou Yanci pressed.
