Only by putting this person in prison can we finally have peace.
Shang Wu snapped out of her daze and emphasized coldly, "I don't like Lu Rang, so don't cause him any more trouble."
Zhou Yanci didn't say anything, and left dejectedly.
Shang Wu breathed a sigh of relief after everyone left.
She returned to the ward and saw that Lu Rang had fallen asleep due to feeling unwell. She lowered her voice and said to Yan Yue, "I'm leaving now."
Yan Yue was surprised: "You're not going to take care of him?"
Shang Wu's eyes darkened, and she shook her head: "I have other things to do."
She turned and left, sending a message to the school urging them to process the paperwork for Wang Qizheng's daughter and transfer her to the school as soon as possible so she could get the list quickly.
After one night, Shang Wu did not contact Lu Rang, maintaining an appropriate distance to avoid provoking Zhou Yanci.
She woke up in the morning and called Yan Yue.
Yan Yue is clearly still in the hospital, and may even be by Lu Rang's side.
His tone was somewhat unnatural: "Miss Shang, since you're worried about Lu Rang's condition, why don't you come and see for yourself?"
"Never mind, I'm quite relieved to have you taking care of him. I'll get back to work now."
Shang Wu hung up the phone and stared at the documents with her head down.
Suddenly, the phone next to me rang again.
She answered the call and heard some rapid breathing coming from the other end.
Shang Wu frowned, took her phone away and glanced at the number, only to find it was Chen Mian.
What do you want with me?
The phone call still carried the sound of panting.
Shang Wu said impatiently, "If you don't tell me, I'm hanging up."
Chenmian finally spoke, weakly, "Zhou Yanci."
Shang Wu was stunned for a moment: "What?"
Chenmian sobbed, "Zhou Yanci doesn't want me anymore. He gave me a million yuan and told me to take care of the pregnancy myself, give birth to the child and send it back to the Zhou family. He said he would give me another five million yuan."
Shang Wu narrowed her eyes: "So? You don't want to take the money and leave?"
"No, I want to be with Zhou Yanci. I know you don't want to marry him now. Don't deny it, it's my intuition as a woman!" Chen Mian said firmly.
Shang Wu leaned back in her chair and moved the mouse to close the work email: "What exactly do you want?"
Chenmian said impatiently, "I have a perfect solution. I can become Mrs. Zhou, and you can get rid of him."
Shang Wu pondered for a few seconds, her gaze deep and serious: "Tell me."
The two talked on the phone for a full half hour.
After hanging up, Shang Wu closed her eyes and cleared her mind.
After a long while, she picked up her phone again.
This time, she called Zhou Yanci.
"Come to my house tonight to meet my parents and set a wedding date."
Zhou Yanci was stunned on the phone, both surprised and delighted: "Awu, did I hear that right? You're willing to marry me?"
"Yes, I've thought it through. Instead of us being suspicious and blaming each other, let's put everything aside, try to get along again, and get married."
Shang Wu's eyes held a deathly calm, a stark contrast to the gentle voice she spoke in.
Zhou Yanci didn't doubt the truth of her words and was overjoyed.
"Okay, Awu, I'll go buy a gift now! I'll pick you up from the company after get off work, and we'll go see your aunt and uncle together."
Shang Wu replied expressionlessly, "Okay, I'll wait for you."
She got up to pack her things, handed over a few easy tasks to Aying, and went home early.
When it was almost time to leave work, Shang Wu returned to the company.
Zhou Yanci also drove over.
His trunk was open, filled with all sorts of expensive gifts, and he was holding a bouquet of flowers in his hand.
Several reporters kept taking pictures of him and his car, and then came over to interview him.
"Is today Miss Shang's birthday? Young Master Zhou, why did you prepare so many gifts!"
Zhou Yanci smiled brightly as he looked at the reporters he had arranged to come over.
"I'm going to visit A-Wu's parents and set a wedding date."
Shang Wu came out with her bag, and upon seeing this scene, she slowed down.
The employees who were watching the commotion gathered at the company entrance, unaware that Shang Wu was standing right behind them.
The reporter asked in surprise, "Are you getting married soon?"
"Yes, we need to choose a specific day, but it should be soon."
Zhou Yanci was full of vigor, his smile carrying a hint of smugness.
The onlookers were all in an uproar, chattering amongst themselves.
The opinions of the people were mainly divided into two groups, and also into men and women.
Most of the male employees believed that since they had been engaged for three years and their relationship was common knowledge, and since Shang Wu was still in charge of Chengzhou, it would be inconvenient for her to date other people if she broke up with Zhou Yanci, and no one would dare to want her.
The female employees felt indignant on Shang Wu's behalf, putting themselves in Shang Wu's shoes. They felt that her fiancé had been having an affair with another woman behind their backs and was pregnant with a child that he refused to have an abortion. They felt that he was disrespectful to Shang Wu and shouldn't have married her to raise someone else's child.
Shang Wu listened quietly from behind.
To be honest, she didn't feel anything about Zhou Yanci's overly theatrical attempt to get reporters to create hype.
On the contrary, she was happy to see Zhou Yanci make her marriage a public spectacle.
Zhou Yanci's ending will be even more ridiculous than Ji Yu's back then.
