After several days, Qianjue didn't look much different, except that he hadn't shaved his beard properly and was no longer wearing a black suit.
Upon closer inspection, something seemed wrong with his legs.
It looks like he's injured.
Shang Wu turned to the side, gesturing for Qian Jue to come to her office to talk.
Aying was still worried, so she instructed others to prepare tea and followed closely behind, fearing that this person might do something to harm Shang Wu.
Qianjue's expression remained as gloomy and cold as ever, but he showed no intention of approaching Shang Wu, instead placing a package on the table.
“When you were staying at Wanhu, you left some things behind, and the gentleman asked me to pack them up and send them over.”
Shang Wu paused for a moment, then nodded when she saw some skincare products in the bag.
"good."
Qianjue nodded slightly: "Goodbye."
He turned and left.
Only then did Shang Wu see clearly the condition of his legs; he was indeed limping when he walked.
She couldn't help but blurt out, "What happened to your leg?"
These words seemed to have flipped a switch, and Qianjue suddenly stopped, turned around, and looked coldly at Shangwu.
Shang Wu felt her breath catch in her throat as he stared at her with such hatred in his eyes, and she found herself unconsciously becoming tense.
Qianjue sneered: "Isn't it all because of you that I became like this? I worked for the master, and when the young master came back to settle accounts with us, he broke my legs and made the master and me move out of Wanhu."

Shang Wu's breathing became slightly labored, and he was unable to speak.
She had been targeted by Lu Zheng and had nowhere to turn. In his fear and rage, Lu Rang took action against everyone who had caused her harm.
She knew Lu Rang would target Qian Jue, but she didn't expect Qian Jue's legs to turn out like this.
And Lu Zheng.

Qianjue paused for two seconds, then took out her phone and called Lu Zheng.
As expected, Lu Zheng agreed.
Shang Wu immediately put down her work and followed Qian Jue.
Qianjue drove her to a high-end private nursing home.
There were only a few people inside, but a large number of caregivers and doctors.
Shang Wu looked around: "Did Lu Rang arrange for his father to retire here?"
"This is the Yu family's own nursing home. Only members of the Yu family who are unable to take care of themselves or do not want to live in Wanhu can come here to live out their retirement."
"From now on, it's highly likely that you'll stay here forever and never be able to return to Wanhu."
Qianjue limped forward, her voice muffled.
Shang Wu followed him inside and asked softly, "Why can't we go back anymore? Was this Lu Rang's instruction?"
Qianjue glanced at her coldly: "Don't you know this best in your heart? You and your master can't get along, so naturally you can't live together. If the young master wants to marry you into Wanhu, what will your master say?"
Shang Wu frowned: "I'm not going back to Wanhu. I'll talk to Lu Rang about it later and let you go back."
Qianjue seemed to have heard something unbelievable, turned around to look at her, her eyes filled with a hint of doubt.
"Are you out of your mind? How could you be so kind?"
Shang Wu said irritably, "It's none of your business. Anyway, this is my decision."
She quickened her pace and saw Lu Zheng sitting by the lake fishing, so she left Qianjue behind and went over to him.
"You've arrived."
Lu Zheng was still focused on the lake.
Shang Wu walked closer.
"I've come to see how you're doing."
Lu Zheng asked calmly, "Is this necessary?"
Shang Wu pursed her lips: "Yes, at least I still have something I want to say to you."
Lu Zheng put down his fishing rod and looked at her silently, indicating that she should speak her mind.
"I never imagined that you had such a grudge against my parents in the past."
"I was shocked when I found out."
“I understand your reluctance to let me be with Lu Rang, but I cannot accept all the harm you have caused me.”
“Go back to Wanhu. Even if I marry Lu Rang in the future, I will not go back to live in the Yu family. It is not suitable for me.”
As Shang Wu slowly finished speaking, she noticed that Lu Zheng's expression had become somewhat subtle.
Lu Zheng stared intently, his gaze focused yet sharp.

After a long while, Lu Zheng finally looked away.
