Seeing Xu Lu's persistence, the waitress's face showed a hint of impatience and helplessness. She glanced at the bag in Xu Lu's hand, then calmly pointed out the flaw in it:
"Miss, you claim that the bag you have was purchased from our store, but in fact, the bag you have has several problems."
First, the lettering on the hardware appears whitish, the spacing between the letters is too large, and the engraving grooves are shallow. Second, the edges of the shoulder strap buckle do not fit perfectly, and the gaps at the connection points are also quite large. Furthermore, the leather of this bag has a noticeable grainy texture.
I've been selling bags for so many years, I can tell the real from the fake at a glance. Are you really sure the bag you have is the one you bought from our store? Is it possible that someone switched your bag without you knowing?
After hearing the waiter's professional analysis, the onlookers around them curiously leaned closer to examine the bag in Xu Lu's hand.
They were surprised to find that the bag was indeed as the salesperson described, and there were obvious differences between it and the genuine product.
Hearing the waiter's slow and methodical analysis, Xu Lu's heart sank, and her face instantly turned pale.
She picked up the bag in disbelief, examined it closely, and then checked the labels and details inside.
As time went on, her expression grew increasingly somber, as she realized that everything the waiter had said seemed to be true.
Xu Lu's lips began to tremble slightly, her face filled with disbelief. She murmured to herself:
"This...how is this possible? I just bought it from your store three days ago...how could it be a fake?"
Seeing Xu Lu's reaction, the waitress couldn't help but feel a pang of regret. She couldn't resist kindly offering a reminder:
"Miss, could it be that someone close to you switched your bag?"
Hearing this, Xu Lu abruptly raised her head, glaring fiercely at the waiter, her eyes flashing with anger. She retorted through gritted teeth:
"You're talking nonsense! How could this be! It couldn't be someone close to me! He would never do such a thing to me!"
The waiter was startled by Xu Lu's intense reaction, and his face turned even more ashen, as if he had eaten shit.
She really meant well but was completely ungrateful. I should have known better than to say anything and remind her.
Xu Lu became increasingly agitated. She pounded on the counter, her voice trembling with tears as she cried out:
"It was you! It must have been you! I demand to see the security footage! I demand to see the footage of me buying a bag from your store that day!"
"Great, that's perfect!"
The waiter readily nodded in agreement, indicating his willingness to cooperate with Xu Lu in reviewing the surveillance footage.
In fact, she knew in her heart that if the surveillance footage wasn't checked, Xu Lu would likely continue to act unreasonably.
She retrieved the surveillance footage to prove that there was nothing wrong with the bags sold in her store. Then, she immediately called the mall manager on her phone.
"Hello manager, a customer here wants to investigate the CCTV footage of when they bought a bag in our store three days ago, between 8:50 pm and 9:20 pm. Could you please retrieve the CCTV footage from that time period?"
After hanging up the phone, the waiter said to Xu Lu, "Madam, please wait a moment while our manager comes over to help you retrieve the surveillance footage."
Xu Lu snorted coldly, turned her face away, and didn't want to pay any attention to the waiter.
The waitress was happy to have a quiet life; she was just an employee.
She's become accustomed to customers bringing fake bags back to the store thinking they're real and demanding refunds.
If a customer successfully gets a refund for the fake bag, she will have to bear all the losses.
She works hard every month and only earns a little over 10,000 yuan a month. The bag Xu Lu bought is worth more than 300,000 yuan, which is far beyond what she can afford to pay for.
After listening to their conversation, Ye Huanhuan got a general idea of what had happened.
She found it uninteresting and was about to leave when, unexpectedly, Xu Lu discovered her.
"Xia Huanhuan! What are you doing here?"
Xu Lu frowned, her high heels clicking as she walked towards Ye Huanhuan.
Xia Huanhuan?
But for a while, no one called her that anymore.
Even Song Lin is now addressing her as Ye Huanhuan. Doesn't Xu Lu know that she has already returned to the Ye family?
"What business is it of yours whether I'm here or not?"
Ye Huanhuan had no intention of paying attention to Xu Lu, a two-faced person, and her tone was not polite.
Xu Lu crossed her arms, looked Ye Huanhuan up and down, and curled a mocking smile at the corner of her mouth.
"I'm just curious. Look at you, dressed so provocatively, isn't it just to seduce rich people in a place like this?"
Ye Huanhuan's eyes were cold as she suppressed the urge to strike, saying, "Xu Lu, is that a tumor on your head? Can't you think before you speak? Do you think everyone is as despicable as you?"
Xu Lu sneered, looking at Ye Huanhuan with disdain, and continued to mock her:
"Hmph, then tell me, what are you doing here? You didn't come here just to borrow money from me, did you? Let me tell you, Xia Huanhuan, Song Lin and I have broken up. I won't give you a single penny anymore. If you really need no money, I suggest you go sell yourself. With your looks, 500 a time should be more than enough for you."
After saying that, Xu Lu couldn't help but cover her mouth and laugh sarcastically. The reason she gave Ye Huanhuan that 100,000 yuan was entirely to show Song Lin her image as a "kind and innocent girl".
She took out the money intentionally to embarrass Ye Huanhuan, to humiliate her, and to highlight her own nobility.
