Soon, a girl with ordinary looks and a chubby figure wearing black-rimmed glasses entered Wen Zhe's office.
Upon seeing the person who arrived, Ye Huanhuan immediately stood up from the sofa, staring at her coldly.
Li Min, however, remained calm and unhurried as she walked up to Wen Zhe and politely asked, "Professor Wen, may I ask what brings you here?"
Even Ye Huanhuan had to admit she admired Li Min's mental fortitude. Wen Zhe looked at Li Min and asked in a serious tone:
"Li Min, why did you post those messages online to frame Ye Huanhuan?"
Li Min remained calm, even with a hint of grievance mixed in with her chubby face, and denied it:
"Professor Wen, are you mistaken? I don't know Ye Huanhuan at all, and we have no grudges against each other. I did not make those statements to frame her."
They stubbornly refuse to admit it!
Ye Huanhuan sneered inwardly. This Li Min really wouldn't admit defeat until she saw the coffin! She looked at Li Min expressionlessly and said in a flat tone:
“Li Min, do you know why Professor Wen called you here? The reason is simple: I found evidence of your malicious online slander, which is why I called you here. I originally thought that since we are classmates, if you could take the initiative to admit your mistakes and apologize to me, I might consider forgiving you. But I didn’t expect you to be so stubborn. Since that’s the case, then don’t blame me for being impolite. I will have the police and my lawyer handle this matter.”
As she spoke, Ye Huanhuan raised an eyebrow and deliberately asked:
"Let me think, what's the maximum sentence for maliciously spreading rumors and defaming others if the circumstances are serious?"
Li Min remained silent with her head down, but her expression grew increasingly grim, as if she were going through a tremendous internal struggle.
Wen Zhe adjusted his gold-rimmed glasses and said, "Li Min, if you insist on denying it, the consequences will be very serious. If things escalate, your future may be affected. Do you really want to ruin your future because of a moment of anger?"
After hearing Wen Zhe's words, Li Min's face showed a hint of hesitation and fear. She lowered her head, her hands tightly gripping the hem of her clothes, as if she was thinking about something.
After a moment, she looked up at Ye Huanhuan, her face showing a hint of resentment and confusion.
"Ye Huanhuan, that anonymous user online is indeed me, and I also posted those comments. I'm very curious, who exactly helped you find me?"
Ye Huanhuan replied coldly, "Li Min, do you think you're so good at hiding that no one can find you? There's always someone better, and there's always someone more capable behind the scenes. You're too arrogant!"
Li Min bit her lip, her eyes filled with helplessness and despair, and whispered:
"Yes, I was indeed too arrogant."
Ye Huanhuan narrowed her eyes, staring intently at Li Min, and questioned, "I don't understand, what did I do to offend you? Why are you framing me like this?"
Li Min raised her head, her gaze falling on Wen Zhe beside her, her eyes revealing undisguised admiration. Then she looked at Ye Huanhuan, a hint of jealousy flashing in her eyes, and said:
"Because you crossed the line."
Ye Huanhuan frowned, looking at Li Min with confusion, and asked, "What do you mean? How did I cross the line?"
Li Min took a deep breath, calmed herself down, and slowly said, "You shouldn't have any improper thoughts about Professor Wen!"
Upon hearing this, Wen Zhe's face turned ashen, as if he had eaten excrement.
"This is utterly absurd!"
Ye Huanhuan angrily rebuked, "I have never had any improper thoughts about Professor Wen. This is all your imagination!"
Li Min snorted coldly, "No? Ye Huanhuan, stop pretending! Do you think I don't know what you're thinking?"
Ye Huanhuan felt utterly absurd. She suddenly remembered a saying: people can actually laugh out loud when they are speechless.
"Li Min, you're absolutely ridiculous!"
Li Min stared intently at Ye Huanhuan, her eyes filled with jealousy.
"Professor Wen Zhe and I have a completely innocent relationship, and I have never done anything inappropriate. I don't know why you think I have improper thoughts about Professor Wen Zhe. Li Min, is someone saying something to you behind your back, which is why you think that way?"
Li Min immediately denied it: "Nobody told me anything, I saw it all!"
"You saw? What did you see?"
Wen Zhe's voice was chillingly cold, and it was clear that he was disgusted by Li Min's self-righteous behavior.
Li Min looked at Wen Zhe like a wronged woman who had been abandoned, and accused him, "Professor Wen, you've always been careful to keep your distance from us, and you've always been mindful of boundaries. But your attitude towards her is completely different! Even the way you look at her is different!"
"You're talking complete nonsense!" Ye Huanhuan laughed angrily.
“I’m not talking nonsense! There’s definitely something going on between you two!” Li Min insisted.
“Li Min, please watch your words and actions. Ye Huanhuan and I are only teacher and student; nothing has gone beyond that. Please don’t make unfounded guesses and slander others!” Wen Zhe warned sternly.
“Professor Wen…” Li Min wanted to say something more, but Wen Zhe interrupted her.
"That's enough! I'll hand this over to the school! Li Min, you can leave now!"
Li Min didn't leave, but instead gave a bitter smile and said, "Professor Wen, why won't you admit it?"
"I don't need to admit anything."
Wen Zhe coldly replied, "Now, please leave my office immediately."
Tears welled up in Li Min's eyes. She bit her lower lip, turned around, and slowly walked out of the office.
"Wait!"
Ye Huanhuan stopped Li Min, took a deep breath, and said coldly, "Li Min, if you're going to maliciously slander me online just because of this, then you're really too stupid. I'm telling you now, I'm already married."
Li Min stopped and turned back to look at Ye Huanhuan in disbelief. "You...you're married?"
Ye Huanhuan opened her phone and waved a photo of her marriage certificate with Tang Yi in front of Li Min. "That's right, I'm already married, so your accusations against me are completely unfounded."
Li Min's face turned extremely pale. She staggered a few steps and barely managed to stand up by holding onto the wall.
"Now you should give up, right?" Ye Huanhuan put away her phone. "Also, I will have my lawyer pursue legal action against you."
After saying that, Ye Huanhuan glanced at Wen Zhe, then turned and left the office.
"Ye Huanhuan, wait a moment..."
Li Min chased after her and called out to Ye Huanhuan, "I have something to tell you..."
