Perhaps because someone else was holding him, the baby in his arms felt a little uncomfortable. He struggled a few times, made "hmm hmm" sounds, and then started to cry loudly and clearly, sounding very energetic.
Tang Yi was immediately flustered. Holding the little one, he imitated those dads online, saying "Oh, oh, oh, don't cry, don't cry..." while trembling, coaxing him. This was a complete contrast to his previous icy demeanor.
Seeing this, the nurse next to him couldn't help but chuckle and corrected Tang Yi, "Mr. Tang, you can't shake a newborn baby. If he's crying like this, it's either because he's sleepy, hungry, or he needs to pee or poop. You need to arrange for someone to come and feed him."
Upon hearing this, Tang Yi immediately took out his phone and called Assistant Zhao, asking him to quickly arrange for several nannies to come over and to prepare all the baby's necessities.
After the phone call ended, the little one who was still crying in my arms waved his hands a few times, then closed his eyes and fell asleep again.
Looking at the little guy who resembled him three parts and his wife Ye Huanhuan seven parts, Tang Yi felt a wave of tenderness wash over him.
The nurse exclaimed, "Mr. Tang, your baby is so beautiful! I've delivered so many babies, but this is the first time I've ever seen such a beautiful newborn."
A rare smile appeared on Tang Yi's face. He gently touched the baby's eyebrows and said softly:
"She looks like her mother... so naturally she's beautiful."
After he finished speaking, the smile on his face vanished in an instant, replaced by deep sorrow. He looked up at the operating room, his eyes flickering.
Huanhuan, you must hang in there!
The baby and I are still waiting for you outside.
The nurse comforted him, saying, "Mr. Tang, don't be too sad. Mrs. Tang is a lucky person and will definitely get through this crisis."
Tang Yi nodded and didn't say anything more.
After waiting for about ten minutes, Assistant Zhao and Zhao Xin arrived with three nannies. Zhao Xin carefully took the baby and asked Tang Yi:
"Young Master, how is Madam now?"
Tang Yi shook his head. "They're still in the emergency room."
Assistant Zhao quickly stepped forward and advised Tang Yi, "Young Master, why don't you go and rest and have something to eat? It's not a good idea for you to just wait here like this."
"I'm fine." Tang Yi's gaze remained fixed on the emergency room. "I'm not tired."
Assistant Zhao continued to persuade, "Young Master, you should think of Madam as well as yourself. How heartbroken she will be to see you like this when she wakes up?"
Tang Yi insisted on continuing to wait, saying, "I'll rest after the surgery is over; it'll be the same."
He insisted on hearing the doctor's diagnosis with his own ears.
Assistant Zhao had no choice but to sigh helplessly and wait with Tang Yi outside the emergency room, while Zhao Xin, holding the baby, left temporarily with the three nannies.
After an unknown amount of time, the operating room door finally opened, and Dr. Zhang, wearing a mask and looking exhausted, walked out of the operating room.
Tang Yi strode up to her. "Dr. Zhang, how is Huanhuan?"
Dr. Zhang removed his mask and replied, "Son-in-law, Miss Huanhuan is out of danger now. However, she has just gone through childbirth and severe bleeding, and her body is still very weak. She may need to remain unconscious for two or three days before waking up. Once she wakes up, with proper care, she will gradually recover."
Upon hearing the result, Tang Yi breathed a long sigh of relief, finally feeling a weight lifted from his heart.
It's good that you're out of danger.
Afterwards, Tang Yi, along with the nurses, pushed the unconscious Ye Huanhuan to the hospital's most luxurious VIP ward, a four-bedroom, two-living-room ward comparable to a luxury hotel, fully equipped with all the necessary living facilities.
Ye Huanhuan stayed in the master bedroom of the ward, while the remaining three nannies each had their own room. The three of them took turns taking care of the children and looking after Ye Huanhuan's daily life.
After settling everything in, Tang Yi sat by the hospital bed with the baby in his arms. He stared blankly at Ye Huanhuan, who was pale and unconscious.
Huanhuan, please wake up soon. The baby and I are right here beside you.
You haven't named your baby yet. What do you think would be a good name for him/her?
I can hardly imagine how painful it would be for me to lose you.
Thankfully, I found you.
Fortunately, I arrived in time.
Just then, the little one struggled a few times in his arms and then burst into tears.
"Sir, the young master might be hungry," the nanny said to Tang Yi as she came running from the sound of crying.
Tang Yi then remembered that the baby hadn't had any milk yet. He awkwardly took the baby, then took the formula that the nanny had prepared, and fed the little one.
The little one sucked on the pacifier and quickly stopped crying. Tang Yi looked at the little one's adorable appearance, and his heart felt as if it were filled with something, swollen and full, making him so happy that he wanted to cry.
"Huanhuan, when you wake up and see our child, you'll be so happy, won't you?" he murmured to himself.
Soon, the little one finished his milk. The nanny took the bottle and taught Tang Yi how to burp the baby. Tang Yi learned very carefully, and when the little one burped, a sense of pride welled up inside him.
"He hiccuped, is that okay?" Tang Yi asked the nanny excitedly.
The nanny nodded and said with a smile, "Sir, that's fine. But to prevent him from spitting up, please hold him by the head for a few more minutes before putting him to bed."
Following the nanny's instructions, Tang Yi carefully held the little one's head for a few minutes.
After a while, he gently placed the little one in the crib next to him and covered him with a blanket.
After doing all this, Tang Yi returned to the bedside, took Ye Huanhuan's hand, placed it to his lips, and murmured to himself:
"Huanhuan, thank you for bringing this little life into my life. I love you."
