Chapter 32: There are mountains beyond mountains
Feifei was standing in the yard, followed by two maids with sullen faces.
It seemed that they were very unhappy with her running around.
Qiuxuan was not surprised that Feifei came to find him.
They hadn't had time to chat in the past two days. Feifei was very eager to know the specific details of rescuing Liu Hui.
I just didn't expect it to be so timely.
"What are you doing here?" Feifei looked at Jing Beian warily.
"This is my home, why can't I come?" Jing Beian said as a matter of course.
"I don't want to talk to you." Feifei retorted and waved to Qiuxuan again.
"Come here quickly! Didn't you promise me not to play with him?"
Jing Beian reached out to stop Qiu Xuan: "We still have something to discuss."
"You are a weasel paying New Year's greetings to a chicken." Feifei rolled her eyes at him and was about to step forward to snatch the person away when she was stopped by the maids behind her.
Feifei could only say, "The kid from the Ji family is rolling around crying outside. He said he won't get up because he can't see Qiuxuan today."
If you can't get up, then just clean the floor for the Marquis' Mansion.
Qiu Xuan felt both headache and laughter. She never thought that one day Ji Yao would save her life.
"My Lord, your matter will have to be postponed." Qiu Xuan smiled at Jing Beian.
Jing Beian's face darkened, but soon returned to normal.
"Since Madam has a visitor, I will not disturb you. However, I still have many questions for Madam."
Jing Beian took a step back, and Qiuxuan hurriedly followed Feifei who was already walking out.
"You just let her go."
Behind Jing Beian, Lu Dongfeng had already broken free from the ropes.
"What good ideas do you have?"
"If I had, she wouldn't have caught me," Lu Dongfeng rubbed his wrist vigorously. "She's so ruthless."
"If she was really cruel, you would have died long ago." Jing Beian curled the corners of his mouth.
No matter how poor Qiu Xuan is, he is still from a noble family.
"Do you really want to bring her into the group?" Lu Dongfeng said, "She's quite clever. Speaking of which..."

"Come to think of it, didn't Liu Hui leave you a letter?"
Qiu Xuan looked at Ji Yao rolling on the ground and felt a little embarrassed for him.
"She didn't tell you where she was going?"
"She said she was going to the North." Ji Yao sat cross-legged on the ground, refusing to get up no matter how much he tried to persuade her. "She's obviously lying to me. The North is such a place, how could she go there alone?"
Liu Hui followed the one hundred mages north.
Qiu Xuan understood, but Liu Hui did not tell Ji Yao the whole story.
She couldn't help but look up to Liu Hui. It was one thing to like Ji Yao, but it was absolutely impossible for her to tell Ji Yao everything.
Not to mention that Jiang Jinhan's request for the mage was a secret, and there was a confrontation between several parties last night. If any of it was revealed, it would be troublesome for the parties involved.
Especially Jiang Jinhan.
Qiu Xuan was too lazy to stand with Ji Yao, so she sat back down next to Fei Fei and said to her indignantly:
"Look at this kid, he's getting worse the longer he gets. I risked my life to send Liu Hui out of the city last night, but he didn't even say thank you."
Ji Yao stopped crying and felt that she had gone too far. She stood up and bowed to Qiu Xuan.
"I haven't thanked Qiu Lao Er for saving my life yet."
Qiu Xuan hit Ji Yao's nose hard with a fruit shell: "I told you not to call it that."
Feifei blinked curiously: "Why does he call you Qiu Lao Er? Aren't you the eldest in your family?"
"Let's not talk about that for now." Qiu Xuan waved her hand and said to Ji Yao, "She did go to the Northland. You can rest assured that she went with reliable people."
He may not be a reliable person. Qiu Xuan thought of Jiang Jinhan's face and thought he was scheming.
"real?"
"I promise." After all, it was the eldest princess who bestowed upon her a favor, and the guards along the way would certainly not neglect her.
Ji Yao was silent for a long time.
"You wouldn't lie to me about this." He looked at Qiu Xuan, "I believe you."
Qiu Xuan breathed a sigh of relief. If Ji Yao continued to make trouble, he might have to spend the night in the Marquis' Mansion.
She was about to serve tea to the guest when she heard Ji Yao shout:
"I've made up my mind! I'm going to the Northland to find Liu Hui right away!"
With that, he ran out, leaving Qiu Xuan and Fei Fei looking at each other in bewilderment.
Feifei broke open a green tangerine and popped it into her mouth. "When he said 'go right away,' he didn't mean to ride out of the city right now, did he?"
Qiu Xuan felt a toothache just by watching Fei Fei eat, and waved his hand to refuse her sharing.
"I remember the Ji family has a thousand-mile horse with great endurance. In this weather, it can run on the official road for a whole day and a night without stopping."
Qiu Xuan paused for a moment, then called out to the attendant waiting outside, "Go to the Ji residence and deliver a message saying Ji Yao said he's going to the north."
"I can't stop worrying about it every day."
Feifei came over and said seriously, "I think you're enjoying it."
"What? No."
"What did Qiu Laoer say?" Feifei asked.
"I forgot," Qiu Xuan frowned. "I really forgot. It was just something we randomly called out when we were studying."
"I'll trust you for now." Feifei was magnanimous and didn't care about Qiuxuan's avoidance. She cared more about what happened last night.
"You saw the shaman!"
Feifei was very surprised after hearing this: "What does he look like? Is it really like those people say, with a belly that can hold everything?"
"That's about the same." Qiu Xuan recalled.
She told Feifei everything that happened last night. After all, she was not sure whether the two servants she brought with her would explain to Feifei.
"This Second Prince is usually quiet, but I didn't expect him to be so troublesome."
"Do you know him?" Qiu Xuan asked.
"I know a little bit," Feifei said. "After all, he's guarding the border city in the north, and we're in Liangzhou. And Jiang Jue cares about him a lot."
"Are they brothers at odds?"
"It's hard to say whether they're compatible or not," Feifei recalled. "Jiang Jue said he was jealous of the Second Prince because he was raised by the Empress. Unlike him, although he was Empress Lu's biological son, he was brought to the Empress Dowager when he was just a baby."
"Too."
"I'm not saying I hate the Queen Mother, or that what she did was wrong. After all, she is Jiang Jue's grandmother, and she also took care of him day and night."
Feifei tore the green orange peel in her hand into small pieces.
"But it's still better to be with my mother..."
Qiuxuan wiped Feifei's tears with a handkerchief.
"Look at me, I feel like crying all the time lately." Feifei smiled sheepishly, "Forget it, let's not talk about this anymore. Tell me what you and Jing Beian were doing in the dark at the pharmacy, making me have to look for you for so long."
"Well."
Qiu Xuan told Feifei about Lu Dongfeng's origins.
"You said she was from Liangzhou?"
Feifei's surprise was not fake.
"Do you know her?"
Feifei shook her head, then she shouted again.
This sound attracted the nanny who was guarding outside to come in.
"I'm fine, I'm fine." Feifei quickly sent them out.
"Princess, although a pregnant woman needs to maintain physical and mental happiness, she also needs to rest." The nanny said and glared at Qiu Xuan.
"Mammy is right," Feifei said with a smile, "Let's chat for a while."
After they left, Feifei whispered to Qiuxuan:
"I don't remember the name Lu Dongfeng, but if you're talking about a woman with medical skills, I remember one."
"She was a slave brought in by merchants from outside the Great Wall. She's a mixed-race, and her name seems to be Lucina."
