It felt as if a sharp hook had suddenly snagged her heart. She pressed her hand hard against her chest, gasping for breath, and large tears streamed down her face.
"Why are you here?" His tone was as light as a floating cloud and as gentle as a breeze.
"Didn't you send me? Didn't you send me?!" Song Yunxi was already teetering on the edge of collapse, fearing that she would lose control and rush forward to end the two despicable people with a single blow.
Xu Muyao frowned slightly and turned to look at the woman on the bed. "Wanwan, you sent her a message to come, didn't you?"
Wanwan slowly sat up straight, then leaned softly against Xu Muyao. "I just wanted to warn her not to keep eyeing other people's husbands. You are mine."
Xu Muyao turned around and looked at Song Yunxi, then reached out and hugged Wanwan in his arms. "I'm sorry, I should have explained it to you earlier. Her name is Wanwan, she is my wife, and we have been married for three years."
Song Yunxi's eyes were bloodshot. She opened her mouth but couldn't utter a word. Slowly, she raised her trembling hand and pointed at him, "You, you two, you've been married for three years?"
First she cried, cried her heart out, then she laughed, laughed maniacally, "What about all my years of waiting? All these years I've been thinking about someone else's husband? I've been delusional, haven't I? You think I'm a fool?"
Wanwan playfully punched Xu Muyao's chest, feigning anger. "Look at you, why didn't you explain things earlier? You've wasted so many years of her life."
She turned to look at Song Yunxi and smiled calmly, "Wuqi mentioned you to me by chance, the day before we got our marriage certificate. I told him that if he still had feelings for me, it would be the end of our relationship. Who knew that the next day he would drag me straight to the Civil Affairs Bureau, as if he was afraid I would run away. Don't you think he's annoying?"
"Yunxi, I'm sorry. Forget about me, find someone else..."
"Enough!" Song Yunxi shouted angrily, then took out the gift she had prepared for him from her bag and threw it hard at Xu Muyao. "This is your wedding gift, Xu Muyao. From now on, we have nothing to do with each other..."
After saying that, she turned and ran, stumbling away from this disgusting place.
