After the traffic police officer clearly saw the car and its license plate, he simply walked up and whispered a reminder: "Slow down during rush hour and be careful." Then he turned and left.
Song Yunzheng turned to look at her, his eyes were gentle, but his chest was heaving violently.
"Yueyue, I'll ask you one more time, is there anything you want to say to me?"
"I……"
Suddenly, a wave of nausea surged through her mouth, and Lin Yue quickly covered her mouth while frantically tapping on the car window with her other hand.
"Ugh..." Before she could even get out of the car, Lin Yue had already vomited.
Song Yunzheng caught it with his bare hands without even flinching.
After realizing what had happened, Lin Yue quickly grabbed a tissue to wipe his hands, saying, "I'm so sorry, I couldn't help it."
Fortunately, she didn't eat much today. She was in a daze all day and vomited yellow bile.
"Still want to vomit? Throw it all out at once before we deal with it," Song Yunzheng said calmly.
Lin Yue shook her head and touched her stomach. "I'm done throwing up."
Song Yunzheng cleaned up the vomit without expression and threw it into a trash can by the roadside.
After returning home, Song Yunzheng immediately went into the kitchen to cook her a bowl of noodles.
Seeing how happily she was eating, his facial expression softened unconsciously, and the anger in his heart seemed to dissipate a little.
But Song Yunzheng couldn't fall asleep until midnight. It wasn't that he was petty; who could tolerate their wife holding hands with another man, especially when that man was still thinking about her?
The more he thought about it, the more frustrated he became. His anger was like a volcano about to erupt, impossible to suppress, so he could only keep taking deep breaths.
He suddenly sat up, the movement so abrupt that it startled Lin Yue awake.
She mumbled, still half asleep, "Honey, what's wrong?"
"It's okay, I'm going to the bathroom." Song Yunzheng patted Lin Yue's back gently, then lifted the covers and got out of bed, repeatedly splashing cold water on his face in the bathroom.
Getting angry solves nothing. To prevent such things from happening again, you must find the root of the problem and then ruthlessly eradicate it.
Back on the bed, he gazed at Lin Yue's peaceful and lovely sleeping face, and whispered in her ear, "Yueyue, Yueyue..."
“Hmm…” Lin Yue responded subconsciously.
"Why do you want Ji Huai to hold your hand?" His voice was exceptionally gentle.
"Sweetie, tell me, why do you want him to hold your hand?" Song Yunzheng continued to coax softly.
"We didn't hold hands..." Lin Yue mumbled with her eyes closed, then turned over and put her calves around Song Yunzheng's waist.
"What's the deal with that video?"
"Jiang Li had a fight with her ex-boyfriend. I couldn't win the fight, so I bit him. I was accidentally pushed down, and Ji Huai helped me up. Someone took a picture and posted it online..."
Under Song Yunzheng's coaxing, Lin Yue spilled the beans, telling the whole story without reservation, her soft voice still heavy with sleepiness.
"Then why did you keep it a secret?" This was the point that Song Yunzheng cared about; he couldn't be kept in the dark.
"I'm afraid he'll get angry," Lin Yue muttered softly. "He's such a jealous person."
"You knew I'd get angry, huh? You were afraid I'd be angry, so you kept it from me, you brat." Song Yunzheng gave her earlobe a light, punishing bite.
After learning the whole story, the knot in his heart immediately loosened.
Looking down at the softness pressed against him, Song Yunzheng felt a tightening in his lower abdomen, and the anger in his heart had long since turned into lust.
She started the fire, so it was only right that she put it out. He rolled over and pinned her beneath him. The noise was so loud that Lin Yue woke up immediately, her eyes still sleepy. "Honey, why aren't you sleeping?"
Song Yunzheng gently stroked her lips with his fingers, his voice low and husky, "Yueyue, your husband is hungry..."
