The two were so engrossed in their kiss that they seemed to lose themselves in it, and it looked like they wouldn't stop unless reminded.
"Ahem... Excuse me, I'm sorry to bother you for a moment."
The sudden voice pulled the two of them back from their reverie.
Yunxi was the first to react, abruptly pushing Rong Youze away, gently patting her flushed cheeks, too shy to turn around.
"Brother, what brings you here?" Rong Youze was not flustered at all. He took Yunxi's hand and walked over calmly.
The man at the door is Rong Yechen, the eldest son of the Rong family.
"I seem to have arrived at a somewhat inopportune time," Rong Yechen said with a slight raise of his eyebrows and a chuckle.
Rong Youze pulled Yunxi in front of him. "Brother, this is my girlfriend, Yunxi. You know her."
"Long time no see, you've become more and more beautiful. No wonder my younger brother has waited so many years, and finally his wish has come true."
"Brother Yechen, you are still as charming as ever, as handsome as ever." Yunxi was very good at saying polite things.
Rong Youze suddenly asked, with a hint of jealousy, "Am I more handsome than him?"
You're so naive, you want to compare this?
"You're the most handsome, you're the most handsome."
"That's more like it." Rong Youze smiled with satisfaction.
It turns out that a man can be like a three-year-old child in front of the woman he loves.
Rong Yechen watched his younger brother with satisfaction, genuinely happy for him.
"Youze, the Hot Spring Yunzhuang opens tomorrow. You can take Yunxi there to relax. Invite Yunzheng along too; it'll be more lively with more people."
"Are you free tomorrow?" Rong Youze asked Yunxi first.
"He should be available, but unless there's an emergency, my brother might not be. Doctors are usually very busy."
"Then call and ask later."
"good."
Rong Yechen glanced at his watch; it was time to leave work. "Let's have dinner together. It's rare to run into you guys."
Rong Youze immediately looked at Song Yunxi, asking for her opinion with his eyes. He would listen to her in everything; if she said to eat, then they would eat.
Receiving his look, she immediately smiled and replied, "Okay."
"Let's go then." Rong Yechen said, turning around and walking towards the elevator first.
Yunxi and Rong Youze followed hand in hand.
As they passed the office area, the employees below were all so surprised that their mouths were agape and their eyes were wide open.
After seeing the boss off, the place immediately erupted in gossip.
"Wow, President Rong's girlfriend is the boss of Chengye! What a powerful alliance! Rongsheng is going to reach new heights."
When do you think Mr. Rong will get married?
I bet tomorrow is National Day!
"I'll bet on three years from now."
"..."
...
On his way home from get off work, Song Yunzheng received a call from Song Yunxi.
"Brother, are you free tomorrow?"
"I'm busy." He refused without even thinking.
"Hey, I haven't finished yet. Rong Youze's family's hot spring resort is opening, and they've invited us to relax there. Do you want to bring your wife along?"
Soaking in a hot spring? He remembered that his little girl had been clamoring to go out and play, but nothing had happened yet. She must be getting bored staying at home reading all day. Taking her out to soak in a hot spring and get some fresh air wouldn't be bad.
"Okay, what time should we go tomorrow?"
Song Yunxi chuckled to herself on the other end of the phone, inwardly despising him for his quick and decisive rejection. But the moment his sister-in-law was mentioned, his attitude completely changed.
"Ten o'clock in the morning."
"Okay, see you tomorrow."
When he opened the door, he was greeted by darkness. Song Yunzheng's heart tightened, and he hurriedly changed his shoes, took off his coat, and rushed to the bedroom.
Turning on the overhead light, Song Yunzheng saw a small bulge on the bed, with half of its head sticking out. Seeing this, Song Yunzheng breathed a sigh of relief, but also shook his head helplessly.
He walked over, lifted a corner of the blanket, revealing her head that was buried under the covers, and gently stroked her flushed cheeks with his fingertips.
"Yueyue..."
Her voice was so gentle it seemed to drip with tenderness.
"Um……"
Lin Yue opened her eyes groggily. "Husband, why are you back already?" Her voice was hoarse with sleepiness.
Why are you back already? Is this girl still half asleep? Did she sleep all day? And didn't she eat anything?!
Song Yunzheng's brows furrowed instantly, like crumpled paper, and his voice unconsciously lowered, "It's seven o'clock in the evening now. Don't tell me you've been sleeping since this morning?"
Lin Yue stared at him blankly, blinking...
Seeing his increasingly gloomy expression, alarm bells rang in her mind, and she instantly woke up. She sat up quickly, hurriedly picked up her phone from the bedside table, glanced at it, and then looked out the window at the already pitch-black night.
She really overslept; she slept all day!
"Um... I accidentally overslept and forgot to set my alarm."
"You haven't eaten all day, have you?"
Lin Yue hurriedly explained, "How could that be? I ate breakfast before going to sleep, and as for lunch, I ate it in my dream..."
Song Yunzheng's gaze was deep, his chest rising and falling slightly. He easily became anxious and irritable whenever she didn't eat properly.
He suddenly turned around and went into the dressing room, quickly changed into some loungewear, and then turned and walked towards the kitchen.
Looking at him like this, Lin Yue wondered to herself, "Is he angry? Shouldn't he reflect on his own behavior, knowing I'm so sleep-deprived?"
She put on her slippers and walked out of the bedroom, where the rhythmic, regular sound of chopping vegetables came from the kitchen.
I first went to the bathroom to wash my face with water, then strolled to the kitchen doorway and watched his busy figure intently.
