In Beijing, a city teeming with cars, traffic jams have become commonplace, especially during the evening rush hour on weekends, with long lines of vehicles forming at traffic light intersections.
While waiting, Lin Yue kept reading. She didn't know when it started, but the Bentley Mulsanne had become her mobile storage room.
The books are frequently updated, and snacks are replenished whenever they run out.
However, this person was quite happy to do these things.
Song Yunzheng turned his head to look at her engrossed in reading, his eyes gentle. "It's good to be young; you don't even get carsick like this."
"It's probably a habit. Back in high school, I often read and did my homework on the bus, making the most of every minute."
"That's great that your eyesight is still within the normal range."
Lin Yue closed the book and put it back in its place. "Maybe it's luck. God has been very kind to me, giving me good eyesight, healthy teeth, a healthy body, and... letting me meet you."
After she finished speaking, she turned to look out the window. The weather was nice today, with sunshine and a gentle breeze. The car window was half open, and her last words drifted into the man's ears on the evening breeze.
Song Yunzheng's heart skipped a beat, and his gaze towards Lin Yue became intense. His voice deepened slightly, "Me too."
As the sun sets, the evening glow paints the sky crimson. That crimson hue, like a fairy's flowing robes, is so alluring that one cannot help but be captivated.
Lin Yue leaned against the car door, looking at the long line of traffic outside, when she suddenly caught a glimpse of a familiar figure.
"Mr. Lu?"
The car window on the right opened, and Lu Zhiheng turned his head at the sound, somewhat surprised, before smiling and greeting her, "Mrs. Song."
The moment the words "Mrs. Song" were uttered, the person in the passenger seat trembled, instantly stiffening and holding their breath.
"What a coincidence..." Lin Yue said with a smile.
Lu Zhiheng slightly turned his body, seemingly unintentionally revealing the person next to him who was so nervous he was practically crawling on the ground.
"Jiang Li?"
Lin Yue spotted her immediately, her expression shifting from confusion to shock to amusement.
She knew it; sure enough, she was taken down after a short time and was too embarrassed to show her face.
"Is Mr. Lu taking his girlfriend on a date?"
Lu Zhiheng glanced to his right and chuckled, "Yes, I'm taking my girlfriend out to dinner."
Lin Yue gave a meaningful "Oh~" and then said, "Have a nice date. Say hello to your girlfriend for me."
After saying that, she turned to Song Yunzheng and said, "Honey, this is Mr. Lu, a business partner of Chengye. You should know him, right?"
Song Yunzheng followed Lin Yue's gaze, his eyes calm and devoid of emotion. "I know her, but we're not close."
Lu Zhiheng looked at the man inside the Bentley, nodded and smiled, "Hello, Dr. Song."
Song Yunzheng replied casually, "Hello."
As the traffic slowly moved, Lu Zhiheng said, "I'll treat you to a meal sometime."
Lin Yue waved goodbye to them.
From beginning to end, Jiang Li hid in the passenger seat like an ostrich, not daring to show her face or make a sound. She had previously sworn to Lin Yue that nothing would happen between her and Lu Zhiheng, but it hadn't been long before she couldn't resist...
Looking at her smiling eyes, Song Yunzheng asked, "Are you very familiar with this President Lu?"
Lin Yue shook her head. "We're not close. I met Jiang Li when we had hot pot last time. He was pursuing her, and now it seems they're already together."
Song Yunzheng gripped the steering wheel, driving with his eyes fixed straight ahead. "The hot pot you went out with Jiang Li last time?"

Back at No. 15 Courtyard, as soon as I entered, I saw Rong Youze and Yunxi busily making dumplings, while Zhou Lirong and Zhang Ma were busy in the kitchen. They were so focused that they didn't even notice when someone came into the house.
Lin Yue took off her coat and quickly walked into the kitchen, then leaned in close.
"Let's have dumplings tonight."
Upon hearing this, the four people who were too focused suddenly jolted awake, especially Zhou Lirong.
"Oh dear, you scared your mother! Why do you walk so quietly?"
Lin Yue asked with a grin, "Do you need any help?"
As he spoke, he deftly rolled up his sleeves.
Song Yunzheng, who was behind her, reacted quickly, grabbing her by the back of the neck and carrying her to the living room like a chick. "You just stay in the living room and don't cause trouble in the kitchen. Go wash your hands."
The four people in the kitchen couldn't help but burst into laughter upon hearing this.
"Brother, you clearly just don't want your sister-in-law to go into the kitchen."
Song Yunzheng couldn't refute this statement; it was the truth, and he really couldn't bear to part with it.
After dinner, Song Xinian invited Song Yunzheng to the study to discuss some matters.
Zhou Lirong pulled Lin Yue to sit on the sofa, her face so serious it could wring water out of it. Yun Xi and Rong Youze also sat down beside her, their eyes fixed on Lin Yue like spotlights, as if they had something to say.
This atmosphere immediately made Lin Yue very nervous.
"Yueyue, Mom has something... I'd like to ask you for help."
"Mom, please don't ask. I'll do my best to help."
Zhou Lirong nodded with relief, sighed, composed herself, and said, "Mom wants to ask you to help persuade Yunzheng to stop hating his grandfather so much. If possible, his grandfather really wants to see him..."
Lin Yue was completely unaware of the feud between the Zhou and Song families, so she was somewhat bewildered when Zhou Lirong said these words to her and didn't know how to respond.
Yunxi noticed Lin Yue's embarrassment, so she explained the whole story to her.
