When Lin Yue woke up, she felt a stinging pain all over her body. Out of the corner of her eye, she vaguely saw a tall figure by the bed with his back to her and his head hanging down.
As if by telepathy, the figure suddenly turned around, his gaze piercing as he stared straight at her—it was Song Yunzheng.
He turned his head and met Lin Yue's clear, watery eyes, and a surge of joy welled up in his heart.
However, when he touched her pale face, all his movements froze instantly, and his hand, which was stretched out in mid-air, suddenly withdrew as if it had been licked by a tongue of fire.
A wave of intense self-reproach washed over him, engulfing him instantly. He dared not look at her again, staggering and stumbling toward the door, muttering, "I...I'll go get the doctor."
He looked haggard, and his voice was hoarse. Tears streamed down Lin Yue's face.
"Thank goodness, she's still alive..."
Zhou Lirong rushed to Huihai City Hospital as quickly as possible, and when she saw Lin Yue, her eyes were filled with heartache.
Faced with his mother's sudden appearance, Song Yunzheng looked bewildered and hurriedly turned his head away, not daring to meet anyone's gaze.

Zhou Lirong sighed helplessly. As Yun Zheng's mother, she knew perfectly well why he was acting this way, but Yun Zheng didn't want Lin Yue to know the reason.

In the days that followed, Song Yunzheng never showed himself to Lin Yue. He only dared to stand quietly by her bedside late at night, gazing at her almost greedily, as if he wanted to imprint every inch of her skin and every expression on his heart.
Although he didn't show up, Lin Yue could feel his meticulous care at all times. Whether it was food, daily necessities, or everything else, he was quietly taking care of everything.
On the day of her discharge, everyone was there. Yunxi carefully helped her, while Zhou Lirong busily packed her luggage. Rong Youze ran back and forth to handle the discharge procedures, but Song Yunzheng was the only one absent.
Looking at the empty doorway, Lin Yue felt as if a piece of her heart had been ripped out, and endless worry welled up inside her.
Back in the capital, Zhou Lirong insisted that Lin Yue first recuperate in Courtyard No. 15, and then return to Courtyard No. 1 once she was fully recovered.
Lin Yue stayed there for another half a month, during which time Song Yunzheng still did not appear.
Under the persuasion of Zhou Lirong and Song Xinian, Lin Yuecai did not show any anxiety. She ate and slept normally every day. After resting for a while and seeing her complexion become rosy, Lin Yuecai returned to Courtyard No. 1.
Before returning, Zhou Lirong pulled her aside and told her everything that Yun Zheng didn't want to tell her.
Finally, she said, "Yueyue, Yunzheng is like this because of his emotional distress. He's stuck in a dead end. Please help him and be more understanding, okay?"

Pushing open the door, a strong smell of tobacco hit her, and the floor was a mess. Lin Yue's heart tightened, and she felt a little worried. The living room was empty, so she went straight to the study and opened the door. There she saw Song Yunzheng, who was staring intently at the computer screen like a statue.
The sound of the door opening was like a pebble thrown into a lake, not causing a ripple in his world. His gaze remained fixed on the screen, as if everything around him was isolated from him.
Lin Yue walked to his side, her gaze falling on the computer screen. Suddenly, her nose stung with tears—it was all of her! Photos of different sizes filled the entire screen like stars.
"husband……"
The sudden sound was like a thunderclap, exploding in Song Yunzheng's ears. Startled, he jumped up and hugged the computer screen.
Seeing his reaction, Lin Yue felt a pang of pain in her heart. She gently grasped his hand and said, "Husband, it's me. I'm back."
Upon hearing this, Song Yunzheng turned his head to look at her as if waking from a dream. The face that had been deeply imprinted in his mind was now so real in front of him.
For a moment, he couldn't even tell whether this was real or a dream.
He trembled as he reached out his finger and gently touched her cheek. The warm touch was like the spring sunshine, pouring into his heart.
