Lin Yue didn't care whether he ate it or not. She hadn't had spicy hot pot in ages and was really craving it. She picked up her chopsticks and started eating with gusto. The moment it entered her mouth, she felt an overwhelming sense of happiness. "It's so delicious! Are you sure you don't want to try some?"
Song Yunzheng smiled and shook his head, "You should eat less too. You haven't eaten for too long, and suddenly eating such spicy and stimulating food will be too much for your stomach."
"Mmm." Lin Yue's bulging little mouth was too full to speak, so she could only make "mmm" sounds.
He verbally agreed to eat less, but his hands were never idle, constantly putting food into his mouth.
After returning home, Lin Yue truly understood the meaning of the saying, "Those who do not heed the advice of their elders will suffer the consequences."
If I had listened to Song Yunzheng and not eaten spicy hot pot, or at least not eaten this much, would I have ended up living in the bathroom? I've already gone back and forth six times; my intestines are practically coming out.
Song Yunzheng stood at the bathroom door and asked worriedly, "Are you feeling any better? If you keep having diarrhea, you'll get dehydrated and have to go to the hospital for an IV drip."
There was no response from inside, but instead, the sound of vomiting could be heard, which made the person outside feel distressed.
The bathroom door opened, and Lin Yue walked out weakly, clutching her stomach. Her face was pale and bloodless, and she was sweating profusely. Song Yunzheng helped her sit on the sofa, then turned around and poured her a glass of electrolyte water. "Drink this."
Lin Yue obediently picked up the glass and drank it down. He had accurately described all her symptoms. She thought to herself that she should listen to the doctor more often in the future and not be blindly confident just because she is young.
Before she could even sit down properly, her stomach started churning again, and Lin Yue clutched her stomach and rushed into the bathroom...
Without further hesitation, Song Yunzheng immediately changed his clothes and even grabbed one of his own coats for Lin Yue. As soon as she came out, they set off for the hospital.
He chose the hospital closest to his home. Lin Yue was lying in the hospital bed receiving an IV drip, her face still as pale as paper. She pouted and looked at Song Yunzheng with a wronged expression, "I'm sorry for keeping you up all night. I promise I'll listen to you from now on."
Song Yunzheng brushed the stray hairs from her forehead and sighed, "You should have listened to me earlier. You've suffered for nothing. Don't take your youth for granted and act recklessly, and don't take your health for granted."
"Okay, but I still want to go out to dinner with my friends tomorrow."
"Hmm? I advise you to give up that idea. I'll be at work tomorrow and won't have time to keep an eye on you, but I will check up on you."
"Okay, okay... You're even more nagging than my mom," Lin Yue said softly.
"If you weren't my wife, I wouldn't bother with you. Listen to me, close your eyes and rest for a while. I'll call you when I'm done."
Lin Yue pursed her lips and nodded, then silently closed her eyes and quickly fell asleep due to her extreme weakness.
Song Yunzheng covered her with the blanket, tucked the corners in, and sighed softly. What a troublesome girl!
