"Oh, I almost forgot, I also brought pomelos, they're already peeled."
After saying that, she ran to the door and took out a box of grapefruit pulp that looked like rubies from the bag.
"Sit with me on the balcony for a while and enjoy the moon."
Before he could answer, Jiang Ye pulled his hand and led him to the balcony chair, pressing him down onto it.
The large floor-to-ceiling windows and spacious balcony provide the perfect spot for moon viewing. One can comfortably lean back and take in the entire night sky.
The two sat on the recliners, one on each side. Perhaps because the night was so beautiful, neither of them spoke, but simply looked up and counted the moon.
After a long while, Jiang also felt that the atmosphere was too quiet and that they needed to find something to talk about.
"Let's play a game."
Xu Muyao turned his head to look at her, his gaze calm and unwavering. "What game?"
Jiang Ye: "A riddle game."
Xu Muyao glanced at her hesitantly and said slowly, "Okay, but if you lose, you have to go home right away."
Good heavens, so this is where she was waiting.
Jiang raised an eyebrow, a slight smile playing on her lips, like a cunning little fox. "Who wins and who loses is still uncertain! Since you've made a request, I'll take it too. If you lose, you'll have to promise me one thing, okay?"
"Within my capabilities, and within the reasonable, legal, and compliant scope, I can agree to your request."
Letting him be her boyfriend should be something that is within her power, reasonable, legal, and compliant with regulations.
Jiang smiled and said, "Deal! Let's begin. Shall we go first, you or me?"
Xu Muyao: "Ladies first."
"It has hair on top and hair on the bottom, and at night it comes to hair-to-hair. What is it?"
After Jiang finished posing the question, he grabbed a segment of pomelo and stuffed it into his mouth, looking quite pleased with himself.
However, the person's expression was unusually uncomfortable, and he suddenly glared at her seriously, "Where did you get all this nonsense from?"
Huh? What do you mean? Are you getting angry because you can't guess? Jiang looked at him, puzzled.

Jiang immediately beamed with joy, "Haha, you lost! Do you still stand by what you said before?"
Xu Muyao: "This doesn't count."
"Why?"
"As I said, under the premise of being reasonable and legal, your topic is inherently illegal."
Jiang also became anxious and immediately dragged her chair to the man, facing him face to face, her big eyes filled with doubt.
"What's illegal about it? Don't you have eyes?"
Xu Muyao subconsciously shrank back, intentionally keeping his distance from her.
"Where is the question invalid? The answer is eyes. Don't you have eyes?" Jiang couldn't help but raise her voice, afraid that he would cheat.

A pair of delicate white hands clasped together, the words they wanted to say stuck in their throats like a fishbone. The timing, the location, and the people were all in place, but they were just a little bit short of courage.
"What?" Xu Muyao noticed her hesitation.
"You can...you can..." Her voice was so faint that only she could hear it.
"If you haven't thought it through yet, then let's wait until you have." Xu Muyao's voice was warm, yet carried a hint of barely perceptible aloofness.
Should she wait until she's thought it through? She'd been preparing for this moment for years, and she was afraid that if she waited any longer, another woman would beat her to it.
We can't wait any longer, we have to say it today!
Jiang took a deep breath, suddenly raised her head, looked straight at Xu Muyao, and shouted loudly with great momentum, "I like you! Will you be my boyfriend?"
The air fell silent instantly, as if time itself had frozen in that moment.
Xu Muyao's brows held a sorrow that others couldn't decipher. He sighed, stood up, and extended his hand to Jiang Ye, saying, "I'll take you home. It's late."
Jiang looked at the hand in front of her and placed her hand into his palm without hesitation.
The contrast between her delicate, fair hands and the man's rough, large hands was stark; to use a somewhat inappropriate adjective, they were worlds apart.
Xu Muyao pulled her forward, but Jiang Ye stood still and refused to move an inch. Unconsciously, she took the initiative and forcefully intertwined her fingers with his.
Xu Muyao's pupils suddenly contracted. By the time he realized what was happening and tried to shake her off, it was too late. Jiang Ye's palm seemed to have grown octopus suckers, sticking to him tightly.
"You haven't answered my question yet..."
Xu Muyao pursed his thin lips and remained silent, as if deep in thought.
"I like you. Can you be my boyfriend?" Jiang Ye emphasized, repeating the question with an unprecedented firmness in her eyes.
