Chapter 39 Nothing is more important than you

Lin Yue smiled and shook her head, her voice weak, "I'm fine, husband...you saved me again."

Hearing her words, Song Yunzheng felt a pang of heartache and gently comforted her, "Don't be afraid, I'm here, I won't let anyone hurt you again."

He finally managed to untie the ropes binding her and was just about to take off his coat to put it on her.

Lin Yue, however, darted into his arms like a nimble little monkey, hugging his waist tightly and nuzzling her head against his chest. "Honey, did I make you spend a lot of money?" Two million was already a lot to her, not to mention a valuable jade necklace, which made her feel very uneasy, as if she had caused him trouble.

Song Yunzheng opened his coat and gently wrapped it tightly around her, feeling her body temperature and breath. In just half a day, he felt as if he had experienced a nightmare, suffering unbearable pain as if he had fallen into hell. Fortunately, she was alright, and he had returned to heaven. "Silly girl, to me, nothing is more important than you. Money is just a tool. Problems that can be solved with money are not problems at all."

"Yes, honey, you're so good to me. I can't repay your life-saving kindness. I don't care, I'm yours from now on."

"Silly girl, you've always been mine, my little wife." Song Yunzheng's arms tightened around her unconsciously. He lowered his head, kissing her forehead and eyes affectionately as if she were a precious treasure, whispering, "Thank goodness you're alright, thank goodness you're alright..."

The hospital ward was filled with a faint smell of disinfectant, and the air was as still as if it had frozen.

The nurse gently and skillfully disinfected and bandaged Lin Yue's wounds.

Song Yunzheng stood quietly to the side, his gaze fixed on the little girl, his mood growing increasingly heavy.

Only now did he truly see the extent of Lin Yue's injuries, and a surge of indescribable anger and heartache welled up within him.

Her petite body was covered with bruises of varying sizes and shades, a shocking sight.

The wounds on the wrists and ankles were the most severe, with deep ligature marks clearly visible, and even oozing traces of blood.

That once fair and porcelain-like face is now red and swollen...

However, despite suffering such torment, Lin Yue didn't care at all, and kept smiling as she looked at Song Yunzheng. "Husband, seeing you again, I feel like I can't get enough of looking at you." As she spoke, she shook her head, her eyes sparkling with happiness.

Song Yunzheng's heart softened, and he couldn't help but reach out and gently stroke her cheek, asking softly, "Are you still angry with me?"

Lin Yue shook her head vigorously, her tone firm: "I'm not angry anymore, I'm not angry anymore. I promise I'll listen to you properly from now on and won't make you angry again."

Seeing her confident expression, Song Yunzheng smiled helplessly, affectionately pinched her little nose, and said softly, "Okay, I know. You sit still and don't move, or the medicine I just applied will get rubbed off again."
