Before leaving get off work, Song Yunzheng sent Lin Yue a WeChat message: "I'll pick you up later. Come out early after class."
When Lin Yue saw the message, she pouted and muttered in a strange tone, "Did she know her ex-lover teaches here and use that as an excuse to come see her?"
"No need, I'll take the subway home myself." Her heart was filled with mixed feelings, a strange discomfort, and she just didn't want him to come to school!
Song Yunzheng stared at his phone screen, his brows furrowed like two deep ravines. "What kind of trouble is this girl up to now? She was fine this morning." The more he thought about it, the more uneasy he felt. He quickly took off his white coat, grabbed his keys, and headed to the garage.
When the bell rang, Lin Yue walked out of the classroom listlessly, looking preoccupied.
"Yuezai, are you... alright?" Jiang Li couldn't bear to see her like this anymore. She was just a washed-up ex-girlfriend, why was she so scared?
Lin Yue forced a smile, her lips twitching slightly. "It's nothing."
"I'm not trying to be mean, but look at yourself now, it's like your husband cheated on you. She's just an ex-girlfriend, everyone has a few exes..."
"I don't have any," Lin Yue said innocently, looking at her.
"You...you..." Her words successfully choked Jiang Li, leaving him speechless for a long time.
Lin Yue walked straight ahead with her head hanging down. Jiang Li realized what was happening and quickly chased after her. "Wait a minute! Forget it, I'll keep you company today and take you to a nice place to relax so you won't overthink things."
Where to?
Jiang Li beckoned to her with her finger and then leaned close to her ear mysteriously...
"There's such a great place? What are we waiting for? Let's go!" Upon hearing this, Lin Yue instantly perked up, her eyes wide with excitement.
Song Yunzheng's Bentley Mulsanne was parked at the school gate, attracting many students to stop and watch.
He kept calling Lin Yue, but no one answered. After opening the location software and seeing where she was, his face turned completely dark. Flames flickered in his dark, deep eyes, and his brows furrowed so tightly they could trap a fly.
Since the Duan Yulong incident, he has installed a GPS tracker on her phone, but she was unaware of it.
"Lin Yue, you're really not well-behaved at all." He angrily threw his phone aside, stepped on the gas, and the car shot off like a wild horse.
Destination Bar, dubbed "Asia's largest" gay bar, is a place of sweltering heat and filled with handsome men.
"Jiang Li, why didn't you bring me here sooner? This place is so nice!" Lin Yue sat at the bar, drinking juice, her eyes full of wonder.
"Oh, I only found out about this recently. I'll let you in on a secret, I came here without my boyfriend's knowledge." Jiang Li winked mischievously, then turned and screamed at the muscular wolfhound in the center of the dance floor.
Flashing lights danced through the bar, illuminating the colorful glasses and bar counter, a dazzling sight. Deafening music assaulted the eardrums, and all sorts of puppies, wolves, and bears began to sway and dance on the dance floor.
As the music grew faster and faster, Jiang Li finally couldn't resist joining in, swaying her graceful figure. Her red hair stood out strikingly in the dim light.
Lin Yue sat quietly to the side, occasionally sipping her juice. There were indeed many handsome men on the dance floor, but compared to Song Yunzheng, they all paled in comparison. Song Yunzheng's aloof and noble air was something no one else could imitate.
"Hello, may I buy you a drink?" A lazy voice sounded beside her. Lin Yue turned her head and saw a slender man with a fresh and handsome appearance standing next to her, smiling at her.
Lin Yue smiled politely, shook her head and said, "Thank you, but I'm sorry, I can't drink alcohol because I'm allergic to it."
A hint of regret flashed in the man's eyes, but he quickly smiled again and said, "It's okay, we can chat then." With that, he sat down next to Lin Yue.
"Would you mind if I knew your name?" The man still had a friendly, smiling demeanor.
Lin Yue looked at him warily, a thought rising in her mind, "Aren't all the men here gay? Why are you asking me all these questions? Are you bisexual?" Thinking of this, she unconsciously shrank back and timidly replied, "Lin Yue."
"Lin Yue..." The man carefully considered the two words, a smile flickering in his eyes, "A good name, I like it..."
Seeing that the person showed no sign of leaving, Lin Yue became a little nervous and unconsciously moved to the side, maintaining a safe distance at all times.
The man's sharp eyes noticed her subtle movements, and a slight smile played on his lips. "Am I that scary?"
"Huh? No, no." Lin Yue hurriedly waved her hand.
"Then what do you mean by keeping backing away?" The man stared at her with a forced smile.
"I'm just not used to being so close to strangers." Lin Yue really wanted to shake off this person and turned to look at the center of the dance floor, wanting to ask Jiang Li for help, but she was dancing so enthusiastically that she didn't pay any attention to her.
The man noticed Lin Yue's embarrassment and discomfort, so he stood up, walked to her side, and bent down slightly. "It's nice to meet you. My name is Mo Yanhuan." His voice was tender, and then he disappeared into the darkness.
Lin Yue frowned as she looked at the man's retreating figure, muttering, "Mo Yanhuan? The name is quite nice, but he's a bit annoying and has no sense of propriety..."
After the dance ended and the music changed to softer, more soothing tones, Jiang Li finally left the dance floor. She sat down on the swivel chair next to Lin Yue, panting, took a big gulp of her wine, let out a long sigh, and asked with a smile, "How was it?"
