Lin Yue took a deep breath and told herself to stay calm. This was someone else's wedding banquet, a joyous occasion, and it was inappropriate to resort to violence.
Then, she turned her head and looked at him with her eyes crinkling, "Husband is right, I will definitely train hard in the future!" The last few words were almost squeezed out from between her teeth.
Song Yunzheng affectionately pinched her puffed-up cheeks, "Good girl."
The groom, Wu Hongyu, was the kind of man whose good looks grew on you; his face was resolute, and he had the air of someone who would dedicate himself to the country. When he saw Song Yunzheng, his eyes lit up, and he walked over with a wine glass to greet him, "Young Master Song, it's been a long time! I was worried that you, such a busy man, wouldn't be able to come today."
"How could that be? When you get married, you and the red envelope must be present." Back in college, he, Tang Shiting, Wu Hongyu, and Guan Zheng were all roommates and had always had a good relationship. Even after graduation, they would get together from time to time.
“It’s so hard for old classmates to get together these days. Everyone’s busy with their own things, so I’m really happy to see you all here today.” Wu Hongyu said with emotion, holding his wine glass. He noticed Lin Yue beside him and saw their hands clasped tightly. He understood and said with a smile, “This must be your wife.”
Song Yunzheng smiled and nodded, "Lin Yue."
"Fine, you got married without even telling anyone, just sneaking around like that." Wu Hongyu pretended to be angry.
“We’ve only registered our marriage and haven’t had a wedding yet. She’s still young, so we’ll think about the wedding after she graduates from university.”
Wu Hongyu carefully examined Lin Yue. No wonder she was able to win over Song Yunzheng; she was truly pure and lovely. He smiled appreciatively and patted Song Yunzheng on the shoulder, saying, "You're so lucky."
These words struck a chord with Song Yunzheng, and he looked at Lin Yue with a smile in his eyes, "Yes, I will cherish what I have."
"Alright, please make yourselves at home. We're all family here. There are a lot of people today, so please forgive us if we don't provide the best hospitality."
"Alright, go ahead and do your work."
Today, all of them are his college classmates. Song Yunzheng was a prominent figure in college, excelling in every aspect, especially his family background. He was always driven to and from school, with bodyguards following behind him. His charming face was just his most inconspicuous advantage.
People came over one after another to greet him, and several of them gathered together, chatting and laughing about work and family...
Unable to get a word in edgewise, Lin Yue obediently sat on a chair nearby, scrolling through her phone.
