The next morning, the brilliant sunlight streamed through the window like a golden veil, gently falling on the bed. Lin Yue was fast asleep, curled up in Song Yunzheng's arms, just like a well-behaved kitten.

"Oh no! I'm going to be late!" she exclaimed, jumping out of bed and frantically getting ready.
Song Yunzheng, on the other hand, appeared remarkably calm and said in a composed tone, "Don't worry, there's plenty of time. You won't be late."
Lin Yue brushed her teeth while looking at him suspiciously, wondering where his confidence came from.
"Your husband used to have a hobby, racing cars, and he was pretty good at it..."
"What...does this have to do with me being late?"
"You'll find out soon enough," Song Yunzheng said with a mysterious smile.
At the school gate, Lin Yue, pale-faced and trembling, got out of the car. She tried to suppress the nausea churning in her stomach and hurried towards the school.
Song Yunzheng rolled down the car window and shouted, "Pay attention in class and don't get distracted."
"Yes, ma'am!" Lin Yue waved her hand without turning her head, then quickened her pace and ran towards the classroom.
Lin Yue finally arrived at the classroom at the last minute, panting as she sat down. Jiang Li, sitting next to her, looked like a cunning fox, grinning mischievously at her: "Yuezai, why are you so late? You must have been exhausted last night and couldn't get up this morning."
Lin Yue smiled awkwardly. This time, she had actually guessed right; they really had been working until the early hours of the morning...
"I told you so, look at your neck." Jiang Li pulled a mirror out of her bag as if by magic and put it in front of her. "Look at yourself, it's like a fresh strawberry~ Dr. Song is going to devour you alive."
"Ah!" Lin Yue was so embarrassed that she was like a cooked shrimp. She quickly covered her neck, her face turning bright red instantly.
Jiang Li smiled and straightened her collar, teasingly saying, "Don't worry, you can't see it at normal social distance. Who else would stare at your neck like I do? Who else gets this kind of treatment, being this close to you?"
"That's good." Lin Yue breathed a sigh of relief, secretly thinking to herself that she would definitely have a good talk with the old man when she got home that night! He did it on purpose!
It was math class. Meng Wanning walked gracefully into the classroom. Her cool gaze swept over the whole class, and when she saw Lin Yue, she paused slightly. Lin Yue's heart tightened. She always felt that there was hostility in Meng Wanning's eyes. She hoped that she was just overthinking it.
In class, Meng Wanning called on Lin Yue to answer questions a total of ten times. Her eyes were like searchlights, constantly glancing at Lin Yue. As soon as Lin Yue made any small movement, she would be criticized by name like thunder. Lin Yue always felt like she was being watched. After a class, she was very tired.
