Chapter 68 The War Without Gunfire

Lin Yue stood there silently, not wanting to talk to him, and just let him pull her along.

Song Yunzheng was extremely anxious. He grabbed her shoulders and stroked her arms, completely at a loss. "Sweetie, say something and tell me, did you bump or hurt yourself? Does anything hurt?"

Lin Yue sighed softly, raised her hand and forcefully pried his hand away, "I want to go back by myself, don't come with me." Before she finished speaking, she turned and left.

She has always been someone who cannot tolerate any injustice. Now, whenever she sees Song Yunzheng's face, she can't help but think of that night when she was happily waiting for him to come home from get off work, but he was treating his ex-girlfriend!

It's understandable that he treats patients; after all, he's a doctor, and saving lives is his duty.

But why didn't she dare tell her? Why did she try to hide it when she smelled someone else's perfume? What kind of physical contact would it take to pick up someone else's perfume? She didn't dare to think about these questions; the more she thought about them, the more her heart ached.

She can compromise for anything, except when it comes to feelings!

Lin Yue walked briskly along the path, and then started to jog.

Song Yunzheng felt helpless and frustrated. After spending so much time together, he knew the little girl's temper all too well; once she got stubborn, nothing could change her mind. She was still angry, so he didn't dare to force her and could only silently follow behind her. She ran, and he ran too. If this made her feel better, he was willing to keep running with her until she got tired and naturally stopped.

There was a busy intersection ahead. Seeing that Lin Yue showed no sign of stopping, Song Yunzheng quickly caught up with her and grabbed her hand. "The light is red. Don't go any further."

"I didn't think about crossing the road." Lin Yue shook off his hand and turned to walk towards the subway station.

While following closely behind Lin Yue, Song Yunzheng called his driver, Uncle Wu, and asked him to come over and take the car back.

Behind the black Bentley Mulsanne, a Maybach was parked, and Mo Yanhuan sat in the driver's seat, quietly watching a good show...

And so, the two of them walked into the subway station one after the other, just in time for the evening rush hour, when the subway was packed with people.

Lin Yue was petite and was jostled around in the crowd. As the subway slowly started moving, she stumbled forward due to the inertia because there were no handrails.

With lightning speed, Song Yunzheng grabbed her arm and pulled her into his embrace, protecting her against his chest like a mother hen protecting her chicks.

As more and more people boarded the bus, Song Yunzheng hugged the person in his arms tighter and tighter. Lin Yue tried to break free from his embrace, but after several attempts, she couldn't budge him. It wasn't that his arms were too strong, but rather that the people around them were so dense that even turning around was difficult.

This subway ride was a real headache for Lin Yue, but a delight for Song Yunzheng. His smile never faded. Before boarding the subway, she was as elusive as an eel, but once on board, she could only obediently stay in his arms.

Lin Yue caught a glimpse of Song Yunzheng's upturned lips out of the corner of her eye, and it infuriated her! So, she lowered her head, aimed at the tip of his shoe, lifted her foot, and stomped on it forcefully…

A muffled groan came from above. Song Yunzheng's handsome face was contorted in pain. She immediately blinked her innocent big eyes, put on a concerned look, and said in a coquettish voice, "Oh! I'm so sorry, I lost my balance. Did I hurt you?"

Song Yunzheng gritted his teeth and endured the pain, shaking his head. As long as the little girl could feel better, what was this little pain? "It's okay, it's all my fault for delaying your foot from landing."

Lin Yue curled her lips slyly, secretly chuckling to herself, "Heh, this old man is quite patient."

Then, she lost her footing again and again... During this subway ride, Song Yunzheng was stepped on more than ten times by Lin Yue. Fortunately, she was wearing flat shoes; if it had been those sharp high heels, his toes would definitely have rotted. Despite this, Song Yunzheng never let go of the arm that was protecting her from being squeezed by others.

Upon arrival, Lin Yue eagerly wriggled out of his arms and ran quickly toward the exit. Song Yunzheng, ignoring his aching feet, chased after her.

When Lin Yue got home, she stood in the entryway, panting heavily, and it took her a while to catch her breath. It seems she'll have to exercise more often; her stamina is too weak, and even running after an argument will be a struggle.

Then look at Song Yunzheng, he's acting like nothing happened! Sure enough, people who exercise regularly are different; those muscles are definitely the result of hard work.

After entering the room, Song Yunzheng squatted down at Lin Yue's feet, carefully helping her change her shoes and then hanging up her coat, just like an old father.

Lin Yue remained unmoved and walked towards the restroom. Suddenly, Song Yunzheng hugged her from behind, nuzzled her head with his chin, and said softly, "Sweetie, I'm sorry, I was wrong. I promise I'll never hide anything from you again!"

Hearing the words "my dear child" suddenly made Lin Yue's nose tingle, and she felt like crying, but she held back.

"I don't believe your promises." She gently pried his hands away and walked straight into the bathroom.

"I was just confused for a moment, don't condemn me to death with one blow..." Is that okay?

With a "bang," Lin Yue gave Song Yunzheng no further chance to explain.

Song Yunzheng was locked out of the bathroom, and the words he wanted to say were stuck in his throat.

Realizing that the little girl had gone into the bathroom to take nothing, he turned around and went into the bedroom, took out the clothes she would be wearing, and stood motionless at the bathroom door like a loyal servant.

After a long while, the bathroom door finally opened. Under the soft light, she walked out wrapped in a bath towel, her hair hanging down, water droplets sliding down her smooth curves to her ample bosom...
