This time the reason was more sufficient. A young male doctor in our department suddenly suffered a stroke and his condition was quite critical.
So I have to take over his shifts, including the night shift.
Working in the hospital is all about job assignments, and I can only be free when a colleague who has been training comes back in November.
I used to have a lot of free time and only needed to work in the outpatient clinic, but now I have to go back to the clinical frontline and work hard.
My colleague who had a stroke was the same age as me, in the prime of his life. It's a pity. While I wish him a speedy recovery, I also want to say this to all the godfathers:
