Chapter 45

Chapter 45

Want to do a mission? Yes!

For Rum and Vermouth, eliminating an organization was not difficult; the difficulty with the boss's order lay in the three-day time limit.

Furthermore, the Qingkou Group is not a small organization; they dare to compete with the Black Organization for things, so they must have some strength.

But it's only a little bit.

They could do it in a day, let alone three days.

Rum received the intelligence from his informant and methodically issued the next order, his eyes filled with meticulous calculations.

Vermouth rubbed the wine glass in her hand, took a small sip, and tapped her fingers lightly on the table, calculating the time.

Three, two, one... zero!

A huge explosion rang out, and the crowd panicked, screams rising and falling. She blended into the crowd naturally, her face showing the same terror.

She tore off the hidden facade at a secluded corner, and chuckled as she looked at the still-silent message.

It seems I'm faster. —Vermouth

The phone information was updated quickly.

That's not necessarily true. —Rum

Vermouth raised an eyebrow and then sent a message to her subordinates.

She began a new round of waiting.

That night, the Qingkou Squad, which had plagued the police for years, was finally dismantled.

Only a few clues pointed to a much larger darkness.

Next came the busy cleanup work, after all, the stand-up comedy group had collapsed, and the mess it left behind needed to be cleaned up by them.

Having confirmed the mission was complete, Rum was preparing to report on it.

Information about the boss popped up.

【Well done :) — Boss】

Looking at the smiling face that followed last, a chill ran through Rum. His pupils contracted, but he quickly suppressed his emotional fluctuations.

It is my honor. —Rum

The phone's light went out, he clenched his fist, his one eye darkened in the thick darkness, and the contempt in his heart kept fading away.

This is the organization's new boss.

Young, yet all-knowing.

On the other side, Vermouth, who had also received the message, chuckled softly, her voice so soft it seemed about to fade away: "As expected of the boss."

She gazed at the bright moon outside the window, tucked her long hair behind her ear, and her blue eyes gradually became meaningful.

Dongshu sent two messages in a daze, then drifted off to a sweet dream.

The terminal and mobile phone next to the pillow were not completely off, displaying completed tasks and replies from two subordinates.

The little boss, fast asleep, wouldn't pay any attention.

In the early morning, after Fuyuki finished getting ready, Sayo Samonji transformed back into his original form and stayed by her side.

With her little backpack on, she happily went out and met the Hagiwara family's uncle and aunt. She greeted them sweetly and received a pat from the adults.

Dongshu first went to the supermarket and bought some candy. A pink hard candy released its sweet charm in the mouth, successfully winning over the child with its deliciousness.

At the corner of the alley, Dongshu peeked out, looked around, spotted her target, and smiled: "Zhen, good morning."

Kurosawa Jin slowly turned around, his face still stained with the enemy's blood, and blood dripping from the dagger in his hand.

Upon seeing the newcomer, his eyes flickered, and he lowered his head slightly, his green eyes hidden by his hair. He said, "Lord Robreoy."

That was the end of the sentence.

Fuyuki walked up to him, turned to look at the blurry red object behind him, blinked, and the blurry red object turned into a cute red cartoon cube, which was in a completely different dimension from the surrounding things.

Does Mr. Ke Xue even have a "minor mode" for the task participants?

Dongshu sighed, then pulled out a tissue from her backpack: "Wipe it off, it's so dirty."

Kurosawa Jin took it and silently wiped his cheek.

Fuyuki offered him another piece of candy, which he accepted as well.

Looking at his expression, Fuyuki sensed something was wrong and tilted his head to think for a moment.

What's wrong?

Now... she looked at the boy in front of her. He looked about seventeen or eighteen years old, with messy silver hair and his sharp green eyes were covered, making him appear much more reserved.

The dark green top and black pants were both suitable for missions, and the dagger was held in his hanging hand, but it just hung there.

That's strange.

A boastful yet chilling laugh entered his mind, and Fuyuki suddenly sorted out his problem and also found a simple answer.

Her tone was calm, yet earnest: "I'm Rob Roy, and your direct supervisor. Although I haven't been paying much attention to you these past few days, I'm still keeping a close eye on you."

"I'll tell you a secret." She blinked and puffed out her chest proudly.

"As my subordinate, you can do anything as long as you don't betray me."

"No need to restrain yourself, no need to hide anything, no need to remain silent. You are different from others. From the moment you were chosen by me, you have already embarked on a different starting point."

Her voice was childish, and she uttered ridiculous words in a crisp, clear voice.

Behind him was the mission target who had just been defeated, and in front of him was his junior superior who had uttered bold words. Kurosawa Jin suddenly felt that this scene was somewhat surreal.

I thought it was just a child's whim, but I never expected to hear such words a few days later.

However, even though he was a code name member, he was so young that he didn't believe his superior's words that "anything is permissible."

Even if what she said convinced him even a little, it still wouldn't...

"Can't what?" He didn't know either.

He listened to these words in silence, and finally replied with a single sentence: "I understand."

Fuyuki lowered her head in thought. She sensed this man's distrust. This little boss, who could command respect from Rum and Vermouth, had unexpectedly run into a wall with Kurosawa Jin.

I was looked down upon because of my age.

But that suited her perfectly.

She clapped her hands happily: "You've completed this task. Now, I'll take you to the next one."

Kurosawa Jin, who doesn't want to work non-stop: ...

Fuyuki, who was brainwashed by Mr. Ke Xue's future information, was unaware that the future model worker did not love working now.

He ordered the lower-ranking members to dispose of the body quickly. Fuyuki led Kurosawa Jin through several turns to a nearby temporary safe house, where he helped him get himself ready before they set off by car.

The driver was also a grassroots member, with an honest-looking appearance. He just drove silently without saying a word.

Upon arriving at a deserted area, Fuyuki opened the trunk and asked Kurosawa Jin to take the contents out.

As the car drove away, Dongshu pointed to a dilapidated building: "There, a deal will be made in a little while. Your task is to use all your abilities to destroy it."

Kurosawa Jin held the sniper rifle in his hand, demonstrating his full range of abilities.

This was the first time he had handled a sniper rifle in the past two days of missions. The previous missions seemed like trivial matters with no intensity whatsoever.

Snipers are mysterious yet important figures, crucial to every organization, and skilled snipers are extremely rare.

Scout, locate, set up guns, take cover.

Then came the long wait.

Like a hunting beast, he possesses ample patience; his body remains steadfast, his mind clear, and his eyes sharp, constantly keeping a close eye on the target area.

His hands gripped tightly; the gun in his hand was his greatest source of strength at that moment.

Time passed second by second. Kurosawa Jin had chosen an excellent position. He was hidden in a corner, but his view was unobstructed. The sun rose directly overhead, but it could not shine on him at all.

Dongshu found a spot to lean against and silently complained to herself, wondering which guy was making a deal in the middle of the day, as if he wanted everyone to know.

After all, daytime doesn't offer the same natural cover as nighttime; under the sun's rays, one's figure becomes an easy target.

However, this had nothing to do with her. She just happened to find a sniper mission that was close in time, with complete intelligence, not difficult, and enough to practice on.

Under the protection of the Tsukumogami and Mr. Ke Xue, even though Fuyuki clearly realized that she had become the leader of an extremely evil organization, she did not have much of a real feeling about the dark things.

Having witnessed Mafia clashes in the world of stray dogs, she felt no fear.

However, this innocent child could never personally take another's life.

But this only applies if you don't do it yourself.

As the boss, she indirectly caused countless deaths; as the executor of world missions, she merely carried them out.

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the corners of his mouth curl up.

Through the cracks in the broken window, the sniper, who had been hiding for a long time, spotted the target carrying the briefcase.

A smile played on his lips, and his hands moved without the slightest hesitation.

The bullet flew out of the muzzle, piercing the air and heading straight for the target.

Fuyuki didn't look at the red flower that Mr. Ke had turned into a cartoon character; instead, Kurosawa Jin's smile caught her eye.

Evil charm, confidence, coldness, tyranny, arrogance.

That was a laugh that belonged to Gin.
