Chapter 2
Third person perspective.
After passing through the teleportation array, I arrived at a door. It was very old and had clearly shown the marks of time, yet it was very clean.
Opening the door, we proceeded under Kitsune's guidance. Along the way, it was clear that the Honmaru was lacking in vitality due to the absence of spiritual energy.
The plants weren't growing very upright; some looked wilted, and the leaves on the trees were sparse and had a slightly yellowish tinge.
The large tree in the distance, which is found in every citadel and is known as the "Eternal Cherry Blossom," is now bare, reflecting the current state of the citadel without a master.
However, Fuyuki quickly lost interest in observing. Kitsunenosuke led the way at a normal pace, which any adult who had just started working could easily keep up with.
The key point is that this person is an adult!
She's just a tiny little thing now, and even with his best efforts, Fuyuki can't quite keep up.
Suddenly, her gaze shifted upwards, and it was Kashuu Kiyomitsu who had picked her up. Fuyuki looked up at the face of the spirit, who was clearly unhappy.
Kashuu Kiyomitsu's voice was cold: "Kitsunenosuke."
Kitsune-no-suke stopped abruptly, his voice tense: "Ku-Ku-no-sama, is there anything I can do for you?"
Kitsune cautiously raised its eyes to try and observe. Seeing its trembling appearance, Fuyuki felt strange. After all, according to the staff's explanation, Kitsune was a shikigami with a unified initial personality.
How could it be so timid as an assistant?
This Kitsune no Suke is the original Kitsune no Suke from Honmaru No. 197. It had been put into standby mode while the swords in the Honmaru were asleep, and it was only just awakened by the staff.
"Slow down, Master is still young. Perhaps you should learn some relevant knowledge." Kashuu Kiyomitsu held Fuyuki steadily, letting the Saniwa's head rest on his shoulder. The long strands of hair tied behind the Tsukumogami fell right into Fuyuki's eyes.
Kashuu Kiyomitsu's embrace is warm, and Fuyuki likes it very much.
She hugged him tighter.
"Yes! I will be careful, Prince California."
Ignoring their conversation, Fuyuki's attention was drawn to the white headband that held up Kashuu Kiyomitsu's hair, tied with a small bow—it looked absolutely gorgeous.
She reached out a hand to touch it, and her fingertips touched something soft; it felt very nice.
Sensing Fuyuki's subtle movements, the tsukumogami hugged him even tighter.
Perhaps it was because her body had shrunk, but her temperament had also been affected. Fuyuki looked at the hairband from all angles, completely absorbed in it. The ordinary little thing had become so attractive at this moment.
They arrived at their destination shortly afterward.
Kitsune-no-suke respectfully said, "Lord Fuyuki, you only need to input your spirit to open the gate."
She then came to her senses, let go of the strands of hair in her hand, and carefully observed the sword storage room in front of her.
The knife storage room is next to the knife forging room.
After the previous Saniwa took over, the supply of spiritual energy was cut off, and the swords gradually lost their ability to maintain their human form. The government then sent people to convert the room where resources were stored into a sword storage room, where the scattered swords were placed.
Even the sword and tent were placed here.
The door to the sword storage room is sealed, and only a Saniwa matched with the current government can open it. What Kitsune-no-suke meant by inputting spiritual power was inputting it into the seal.
Following the instructions given by the staff member in charge of memory, Fuyuki reached out and touched the seal. Then, she channeled the spiritual energy within her body to guide it into the seal according to her will. Subsequently, the seal, which displayed intricate patterns, began to disappear from the center.
With a creak, the door opened automatically, and Fuyuki tugged at Kashuu Kiyomitsu's clothes, signaling him to put her down.
Stepping into the sword storage room, the sword list placed on the central platform had a strong presence. Fuyuki looked at the platform with some curiosity. The platform was lowered to a height suitable for the new Saniwa by the spiritual power from the opening of the door.
Fuyuki picked up the sword register, opened it, and inside were the swords that the citadel possessed, which were glowing with colorful images, while the dark black and white ones were those that the citadel did not possess.
She glanced around and found that Kashuu Kiyomitsu was indeed absent, and there were relatively few swords, mostly short swords.
"Lord Fuyuki, the previous Saniwa retired after less than six months in office, so the number and skill level of the swords in the citadel aren't very high," Kitsunenosuke explained, offering his explanation for the situation.
"Furthermore, some swords have been taken away and added to other citadels with the consent of both the tsukumogami and the Saniwa."
Fuyuki nodded to indicate that she understood, and that it was good that things were going normally, although she felt that her luck wasn't that bad.
Then, spiritual power is inputted again. The sword shrine is the hub connecting the citadel, the tsukumogami, and the Saniwa.
The moment the spiritual energy entered, the entire citadel was swept away by it and began to recover its vitality. The area on the sword banner belonging to Kashuu Kiyomitsu brightened and changed from gray to color.
Only a few cherry blossom petals were noticed floating up, and the swords placed on the surrounding racks began to tremble, but none of them took shape.
"Lord Fuyuki, the spiritual power transmitted through the sword tent is not enough to awaken all the tsukumogami at the same time. You need to transfer spiritual power again to give them the power of their first transformation," Kitsunenosuke explained.
After hearing this, Dongshu looked around. She could sense something faint. She no longer hesitated. In the political spiritual power test, her spiritual power result was immeasurable. At the same time, waking up more than a dozen swords was definitely not a difficult task.
The swords were constantly being awakened, and quite some time had passed by the time it was completed.
"I am Ichigo Hitofuri. The only sword made by Kuritaguchi Yoshimitsu. Toushirou are my younger brothers."
The last one was Ichigo Hitofuri, who had light blue hair. Fuyuki nodded as well. She glanced at the tsukumogami's hair a few more times, and when her gaze moved down, she met a pair of golden eyes that were smiling. Suddenly, her face felt a little hot.
My little scheme has been discovered.
She really liked the beautiful colors.
Fuyuki turned her head and found Kashuu Kiyomitsu among a group of newly awakened tsukumogami. She jogged a few steps and stopped in front of him. She always felt more at ease around the more familiar Kashuu Kiyomitsu.
"..." Fuyuki opened his mouth, wanting to say something to the tsukumogami in front of him, but then remembered that he could not speak Japanese and did not have a suitable word among the few he knew.
She wants to find a political translator; it's really frustrating not being able to communicate.
Fuyuki looked around. There were still eleven swords in the 197th Honmaru, and with Kiyomitsu, there were now twelve.
Da Dao: California Qing Guang, Shan Lao Qie Guo Guang, Song Xian Jian Ding, Zong San Zuo Wen.
Tachi: Shokudaikiri Mitsutada, Ichigo Hitofuri.
Short Sword: Sayo Zuomonji, Iken Sword, Five Tigers Retreat, Rando Shiro, Yauken Toshiro, Akita Toshiro.
