Found the straw hat

Found the straw hat

Rayleigh suddenly turned his head, and his eyes became very sharp in an instant.

An invisible domineering aura suddenly emanated from him.

The soldier was just glanced at by that gaze, and immediately felt a huge sense of oppression coming towards him. He had no time to react, and his body was like being hit by a huge wave, falling uncontrollably to the ground.

His body twitched violently several times and then he fainted.

Merry's eyes widened. He floated on the water, his voice becoming a little stammering: "Mr. Rayleigh... You, you really are so strong! Are you really a shipbuilder?"

The sharpness in Rayleigh's eyes quickly faded, and his gentle demeanor returned.

"Little guy, I'm not a shipbuilder, but a coating craftsman." Rayleigh reached out and rubbed Merry's head. His voice was low and magnetic, making people feel particularly reassured. "Remember, in dangerous places, you must attack the enemy quickly, accurately and ruthlessly. Don't give the enemy any chance to react."

Merry didn't continue to ask about Rayleigh's identity, but just nodded excitedly: "Yes! I remember it!"

Rayleigh jumped out of the water, water droplets dripping from his hair and clothes, leaving wet footprints on the ground.

He walked up to the navy soldier and took off his wet clothes, revealing his almost perfect muscles and body covered with old scars.

The crystal clear water droplets slid down along the smooth and sharp muscles, then continued to flow down from the depression of the abdominal muscles and disappeared into the depths.

Rayleigh took off the soldier's navy uniform and put it on himself.

The clothes were obviously a little too small, tightly fitting around Rayleigh's broad shoulders and solid chest, clearly outlining every muscle line on his body.

The buttons were stretched so tight that I felt like they would burst from my muscles in the next second.

Rayleigh moved his arms awkwardly: "It's a little small, but I'll make do with it."

"Won't someone find out like this?" Meli asked doubtfully, and it climbed up Rayleigh's trouser leg and onto his shoulder again.

"As long as we're careful, it shouldn't be a problem. Which direction should we go next?"

Meli took out the life card again, looked at it carefully, raised his tentacle and pointed in a direction: "Let's go that way."

"Okay, let's go." Rayleigh took a step forward.

Merry quickly activated the mimicry, and his body became transparent again, perfectly hiding his figure.

Along the way, Meli and his team shuttled through the naval base, and from time to time they met three or two patrolling naval soldiers.

Although Rayleigh's uniform was a bit tight, it did not affect his aura at all. He was calm and composed, and felt like a member of the navy. No soldiers paid much attention to him.

Merry leaned close to Rayleigh's ear and lowered his voice very low: "Mr. Rayleigh, no one has discovered your identity!"

Rayleigh tilted his head slightly, a faint smile on his face, and whispered to Meli, "There are too many people here, and many of them don't even know each other. Confidence is the best weapon for disguise. As long as I'm confident enough, no one will doubt me."

"Awesome!" The little octopus silently made a fist gesture with his tentacles.

Sure enough, as Meli and his companions walked deeper and deeper into the central area of the naval base, there were more and more soldiers around them, and no one actually noticed that Rayleigh was an alien invader.

A navy soldier rushed into the duty room in a panic: "Report! A naked soldier was found in the base."

Maynard stood up from his chair, slammed the table, and roared, "What's wrong with not wearing clothes?"

He was a big, burly man, but he was not wearing any clothes. He only wore a pair of briefs and a navy jacket, revealing his dark and well-developed muscles.

The soldier was so frightened by Maynard's aura that he couldn't help but take a step back. He frantically explained, "Brigadier General Maynard, I'm not talking about you! The soldier the patrol found seemed to have been knocked unconscious and then stripped of his clothes."

Maynard's eyes widened instantly. "What! Which soldier is so audacious as to do such a thing to his colleagues in the base?"

Kadaru's face turned pale. "It wasn't done by one of our people. Someone broke into the base!"

"How dare someone sneak in here? We must find the intruder as soon as possible!" Maynard turned around, grabbed the Den Den Mushi, and shouted into the microphone, "Emergency notice, everyone, please pay attention. Immediately declare martial law and seal off the base. No one is allowed to enter or leave at will."

It was too late for Kadaru to stop it. The order quickly spread throughout the base through the Den Den Mushi. All the navy took action and began to search everywhere in the base.

He shook his head disapprovingly. "You're too impulsive. Sending out a notice with such fanfare will only alert the enemy and give them time to prepare."

"We don't know how long he's been here. If we delay any longer, he'll have a chance to escape. He dared to sneak into the naval base. We absolutely cannot let him get away!"

Although Rayleigh didn't hear the blockade notice, he keenly noticed that the footsteps of the soldiers around him suddenly became hurried. His eyes instantly became sharp: "It seems that our actions have been discovered."

When Meli heard this, the tentacles that were clinging to Rayleigh couldn't help but tighten a little, and his vigilant eyes looked around uneasily.

"Don't be nervous, it's just a small matter." Rayleigh quickened his pace while soothing the octopus on his shoulder.

He often used shadows and blind spots to hide his body, avoiding the sight and search of the navy, and moving forward silently.

The deeper Meli and his crew went into the naval base, the more naval soldiers they encountered, and they had to act more cautiously.

Rayleigh hid in a narrow shadow, tilted his head and whispered, "Little guy, haven't you reached your friend's location yet?"

Merry glanced nervously at the life card and replied, "Yes, the life card shows that we still need to move forward."

Rayleigh frowned slightly, feeling something was amiss. Perhaps he had made a mistake? Was the direction indicated by the life card not the naval base? Instead, it was Island 70, located behind the base?

Now that we've come this far, we can only move forward.

"Let's keep moving forward." Rayleigh walked out from the shadows and continued to move forward in the direction indicated by the life card.

"Hey! Soldier up ahead. What's that on your shoulder?"

Suddenly there was a loud shout from behind.

Discovered!

Meli's body stiffened, and he was so nervous that he almost couldn't maintain his mimicry and was about to reveal his true form.

It hurriedly stuffed the tentacle into its mouth and bit it hard.

It hurts so much!

The pain drove away the tension, and Merry barely managed to control his mimicry.

Rayleigh stopped and turned around calmly, seemingly not worried at all about being discovered.

Maynard stood not far away, his vigilant eyes shifting from somewhere over Rayleigh's shoulder to his face, frowning as he recalled something: "You look familiar."

Rayleigh smiled calmly, "Sir, I've worked at the base for many years. It's not surprising that you've seen me before."

"No! You're not a navy!" Maynard shook his head and looked Rayleigh up and down, a look of realization and shock flashing in his eyes. "You are... Rayleigh? The legendary man, Pluto Rayleigh!"

His face changed instantly. He quickly recovered from his shock, pulled out the big knife from his waist, and rushed towards Rayleigh.

"How dare you break into the naval base alone? Do you really think our navy is empty?"

I'm sorry, but in such a small naval branch, there is really no one capable of stopping Rayleigh.

Rayleigh moved slightly and easily dodged Maynard's attack.

Maynard's attack missed, and he quickly turned around, and the big knife in his hand went straight to Rayleigh's chest again. The blade was so sharp that it seemed to tear Rayleigh in half.

However, Rayleigh was faster. His hand was filled with domineering energy and he swung it at the back of Maynard's neck.

With a loud bang, Maynard fell heavily to the ground, his sword slipped to the side, and he lost consciousness.

However, Rayleigh's clothes could not withstand the extremely rapid movement. The buttons were torn off in an instant, revealing his strong chest.

Meli's eyes were full of admiration, and he couldn't help but raise his two tentacles and applaud.

"Mr. Rayleigh is truly amazing!"

"Hahaha, let's go."

Rayleigh tore off the navy cloak from Maynard, draped it over himself, and swaggered through the center of the naval base.

He exuded an amazing aura, his eyes were calm and majestic, as if he was a naval admiral out for a walk.

The ordinary naval soldiers they met along the way had no idea that the invaders would be so bold, and no one recognized Rayleigh's identity.

When they saw Rayleigh walking by wearing a general's cloak, they all made way and saluted.

Merry and Rayleigh passed through the center of the naval base unimpeded, then successfully left the base gate and arrived at the edge of the island.

The waves kept hitting the shore, making a loud noise, but the life card still pointed to the direction of the island ahead.

Rayleigh: "It seems we've found the wrong place. The direction indicated by the life card is not the naval base. We need to keep going forward."

Merry's tentacles twisted together uneasily, and his voice was a little guilty: "I'm sorry, Mr. Rayleigh, I really troubled you along the way."

"Don't worry, it's not your fault. Besides, a day trip to the naval base is pretty fun, isn't it?"

"Yeah, it's quite fun indeed."

"Then this trip won't be in vain. Let's go, our adventure isn't over yet."

"Okay!"

Rayleigh threw his navy cloak casually on the shore, jumped into the deep blue water again, and swam towards the target island.

The island is completely different from the serious atmosphere of the naval base.

The streets are lined with various bars and small shops, and are bustling with people coming and going.

Meli looked back and forth in the crowded crowd, and suddenly his eyes lit up. He recognized the familiar straw hat in the crowded crowd at a glance.

The little octopus was so excited that it climbed from Rayleigh's shoulders to his head, pointing its dancing tentacles at the figure in the straw hat and shouting, "Mr. Rayleigh! I...I found it!"

Rayleigh looked in the direction Merry pointed. Although the straw hat obscured the owner's face, the familiar back still allowed him to instantly recognize the person under the hat.

His eyebrows raised slightly, and a hint of realization flashed in his eyes: "So, the person you are looking for is him."

Meli couldn't help jumping and dancing on Rayleigh's head, and said excitedly: "Yes! Mr. Rayleigh, let's go over there quickly!" His eyes followed the movement of the figure closely, fearing that if he missed it, the familiar figure would disappear from his sight in the next second.

"Okay, okay, don't get excited." Rayleigh was not angry about the octopus jumping on his head.

He walked through the crowded crowd and came behind the figure.

He placed a hand on the other's shoulder and said in a familiar tone, "Little ghost, long time no see."

When the man heard the voice, he turned around quickly. When his eyes met Rayleigh's, a surprised smile instantly appeared on his face, as if he had seen a long-lost relative.

"Mr. Rayleigh! It's been such a long time!"

Merry saw the unfamiliar face under the straw hat, but her eyes widened instantly.

Ouch!

wrong!

Why isn't this guy wearing a straw hat Luffy?

The little octopus tilted its head, trying to identify the person in front of it, confusion on its face.

Who is this person with dazzling red hair?
