Hongxiang is not a bad person

Hongxiang is not a bad person

The cabin was filled with a strong medicinal aroma and the temperature was a little hot.

Hongo stood in front of the table by the window, staring intently at the medicine he was preparing. His eyebrows were stern and he pursed his lips seriously while working, which added a sense of indescribable abstinence.

However, perhaps because of the hot weather, all the buttons of his shirt were unbuttoned, revealing his strong chest muscles and distinct abdominal muscles, giving him a wild and powerful look.

That inviolable face paired with the seductive figure should be contradictory, but they are so harmonious, inadvertently exuding an even more irresistible attraction.

Hearing the noise behind him, Hongo turned around and chuckled softly, "Are you awake?"

Tiger struggled to stand up, trying to sit up from the table, with a vigilant light flashing in his pupils: "You..."

"Don't be in a hurry to sit up," Hongo quickly put down the potion in his hand, walked forward, and put his hand on Tiger's shoulder, "You are injured too badly, you need to rest well."

Tiger was huge and incredibly strong. His muscles were tense as he stared at Hongo suspiciously. "Human, let go of your hand."

Instead of retreating, Hong Xiang increased his strength, but still could not shake Tiger at all.

He noticed that Tiger's face looked strange, so he didn't force it any further. Instead, he gently persuaded him, "We found you collapsed on the beach, your body covered in burns. Did you encounter an accident? If you have any difficulties, please tell us. We may be able to help you."

Tiger's face froze, a trace of confusion and doubt flashed in his deep eyes. How could it be possible? Wasn't it this human who injured him?

The relationship between humans and merfolk has always been strained. Those hostile memories flashed through Tiger's mind, making it hard for him to believe that he would be rescued by humans one day.

If humans hadn't injured him, why would they have saved him?

Tiger stared at Hongo, hesitated for a moment, and then asked again uncertainly, "You saved me? Why would you save a fishman?"

Hongo nodded, his voice calm. "My companions and I saved you. You're covered in wounds. Murloc or not, we couldn't just stand by and watch you. By the way, do you remember how you got hurt?"

Tiger pursed his lips in confusion, his heart full of contradictions. He frowned and tried hard to recall what happened before he fainted.

Gradually, the memory became clearer.

Tiger finally remembered what happened before he fell into a coma.

At that time, Tiger was exploring an underwater volcano. The calm sea water suddenly seemed to be stirred by something, and ripples appeared. He also felt the rocks under his feet began to shake slightly.

After realizing something was wrong, Tiger immediately turned around and ran away, but it was too late.

The underwater volcano had been dormant for many years, but unexpectedly, it erupted without warning at that time.

Hot magma gushed out from the crater, and a powerful fire dragon rose into the sky.

The temperature of the magma is extremely high. When it comes into contact with the surrounding sea water, it immediately turns into billowing steam and fills the entire seabed.

Tiger was affected by the high-temperature magma, and burning pain came from his arm, but he did not dare to stop for a moment.

He gritted his teeth and raced against death, swimming desperately to get out, his breathing becoming more and more rapid.

Finally, Tiger exhausted his last bit of strength and lost consciousness.

Fortunately, a current caught him and brought him to this unknown island.

It turned out that the injuries on his body were not caused by humans, and he was even rescued by humans.

As the memories came to a close, Tiger lowered his eyes, a hint of embarrassment flashing across his eyes. "My name is Fisher Tiger, and I'm a traveling adventurer. I was exploring an underwater volcano when I happened to encounter a volcanic eruption, and I got a little injured. Thank you for saving me."

"Huh? No wonder!" Hongo's eyes flashed with surprise after listening to Tiger's narration. "We encountered a volcanic eruption at sea before, and the scene was truly terrifying. I didn't expect you to be so close to the erupting volcano and survive such a terrible thing. You're really lucky."

"It's really God's blessing. I almost used up all my luck this time."

"It's good to be alive. Good fortune is yet to come."

The two chatted for a few words, and then the cabin door opened with a creak.

Merry wriggled in, dragging some healing seaweed with him.

When it saw that the fishman on the bed had woken up, it immediately raised a tentacle and greeted him enthusiastically: "Hey, uncle, you're awake. How are you feeling?"

When Tiger saw Meli, his pupils dilated instantly and an incredible look appeared on his face.

How could the octopus fishman cub end up on a human ship? This shocked Tiger even more than being rescued by humans.

Seeing that Tiger didn't answer, Meli thought that Tiger was not feeling well, so he didn't urge him. Instead, he turned around and handed the seaweed to Hongxiang.

"Hongo, these are the same healing seaweeds that the sea kings sent us last time. Just mash them and apply them to the wound, and it will heal faster." Merry said as he squirmed and crawled onto the chair next to him.

Hongo took the seaweed, and a hint of doting tenderness appeared in his stern eyes. He rubbed the octopus's head and said, "Thank you, Merry-chan. The burn medicine we prepared was just a little bit short. It really helped a lot."

"Hehe, I'm glad I can help." Meli smiled shyly, her little tentacles dancing around, looking very cute.

Tiger looked at the interaction between the two with confusion, and found that they looked very familiar, and his emotions became more complicated.

This little fishman cub actually dares to get so close to humans.

Should we say that it is too naive to understand the evil of humans, or should we say that these humans are different from the humans it has come into contact with before?

Tiger stared at the little octopus and asked, "Your name is Merry?"

Meili turned around and smiled sweetly: "Yes, I'm Meili. Uncle, what's your name?"

"My name is Tiger."

"Hello, Uncle Tiger. How are you feeling now? Are you hungry? Is there any sea fish you want to eat? I'll go catch it for you."

"Don't bother, I'm not hungry."

Before he could finish his words, Tiger's stomach suddenly made a rumbling sound, and a trace of embarrassment flashed across his face.

Meili laughed heartily. "Uncle, your stomach is growling. It's no big deal. Starving yourself will slow your recovery. Wait for me, I'll be back soon."

The little octopus slid down from the chair and nimbly crawled out of the cabin.

"Merry, wait a minute."

"What's wrong?" Meli stopped when he heard Hongo's call.

"Don't go fishing. Tiger's skin is all red. He was severely burned by the lava. Eating seafood will affect the healing speed of his wounds. Let Lu make some easily digestible food."

Merry raised his tentacle and scratched his cheek in confusion: "But, when I was injured before, eating more fish and shrimp would help me recover faster."

"Hiss, the physiques of you murlocs and octopuses seem to be somewhat different from ours," Hongo patted his forehead, as if remembering this crucial question. "Do the physiques of different species of murlocs differ as well? I can't just use human treatment methods."

Meili nodded: "Anyway, as long as I eat more, I will definitely recover faster."

Hongo insisted, "But I still think it would be better to eat something mild first."

"Then let Rusang make a pot of seafood soup? It should be fine if it's hot."

"Ah? Is this even possible?"

"Um, sorry."

Tiger interrupted their conversation, pointing to his face and explaining seriously, "My skin is originally this red all over my body. The only burned areas are my arm and shoulder on this side."

"That's impossible. Your skin color is too red."

"That's right. This skin color is one of the characteristics of our snapper fishman clan. This is my natural skin color. It looks a bit similar to the burn, but it is a little lighter than the burn on this side." Tiger pointed to his skin color and patiently explained the difference between the two.

Hongo's head buzzed as he suddenly came to his senses. He muttered in disbelief, "I thought the uneven color was caused by the varying degrees of burns..."

He chuckled twice to hide his embarrassment, "You're not injured, that's great."

As an experienced doctor, Hongo made a mistake on such a basic issue, and his career suffered a huge blow from this encounter.

"There are so many differences between us fishmen and humans that misunderstandings like this are very common." Tiger was silent for a moment, then thanked him again, "Thank you very much for saving me."

"You're welcome," Hongo waved his hand and walked out of the cabin eagerly. "I'll get you something to eat. Merry stay here with Tiger."

Meli had originally thought about asking Hongo to help study the problem of the short lifespan of mermaids in Surina's clan. Now that it saw that Hongo had suffered a series of setbacks in treating the mermaids, it decided to give up this plan.

Although Hongxiang's medical skills are excellent, he still knows too little about fish people and mermaids.

Merry's mind was racing with thoughts. After hearing Hongxiang's instructions, he responded crisply, "Okay, no problem. Uncle Tiger, leave it to me."

After saying that, Merry turned to look at Tiger, "Uncle Tiger, Rusan's cooking is also very delicious. If you want to eat seafood, I'll go get some for you when you feel better. By the way, Shanks and the others are exploring the island, maybe they will bring back some delicious ingredients..."

Mellie chatted with Tiger non-stop.

"Really? That's really exciting."

Tiger responded from time to time, and gradually let down his guard: the human who could let the merman cubs get so close to him should not be a bad person.

Just as Meli was talking excitedly, there were sudden rumbling sounds outside.

There was a huge earthquake, and the entire cabin began to shake.

The island seemed to have been hit by an earthquake, mixed with the sound of falling trees and the footsteps of some large beast running.

"What's that noise?"

Meli looked towards the door in confusion, feeling uncertain and bewildered.

What's going on?

What on earth did Shanks and Beckman do on the island? Why was there such a big commotion?
