Chapter 31: I plan to write a longer version (31 chapters in total).

As Xi Xinxin turned around and slowly raised her head, the person also squatted down and began to stroke the little white cat.

After taking a closer look at the person, Xi Xinxin realized that this was the same person who had been feeding the cats in the corner earlier. She greeted him, "What a coincidence."

The man glanced at Jiang Moli next to Xi Xinxin, then looked at Xi Xinxin again and asked, "Are you two a couple?"

Those nearby also perked up their ears, eager to know the answer. After receiving a negative response, several girls began urging the other person to ask for their contact information.

"How old are you?" the man asked again, then realized he was being a bit abrupt, so he started by saying, "My name is Guan Jing, I'm 23. I've already taken that cat home to raise."

Xi Xinxin explained what was going on to Jiang Moli and then replied, "This is Brother Guan Jing, we are still high school students." Then they introduced themselves to each other.

Guan Jing got goosebumps. "It sounds weird calling me 'Brother Guan Jing,' just call me Guan Jing. You guys are so young." He then swept one side of his bangs back, giving him a cool, slightly roguish look. "I come to this cat cafe all the time..."

(Second male?)

Xi Xinxin silently mocked the system several more times; she only realized who it was when she heard the name. In the story, Guan Jing should appear a little later. At that time, the female lead was sheltering from the rain under an eave, and Guan Jing happened to be carrying a plastic bag containing a black cat. The black cat was described as chubby and looking rather silly. Presumably, Guan Jing had taken good care of it.

The rain was quite heavy. Guan Jing was dressed in his usual cool style, complete with earrings, a lip piercing, and a plum blossom tattoo on his wrist. His hair, already rather long, had been in the rain for quite some time, and his bangs completely obscured his eyes. The author described him as incredibly handsome. The female lead wasn't afraid of him at all; she even offered him a handkerchief out of concern.

Guan Jing borrowed an umbrella from inside the house and gave it to the female lead. He then began to recount his experiences. He said his family didn't understand his way of dressing, and many people were afraid of him, thinking he was a hoodlum. But he wasn't. He genuinely just liked this style.

I won't go into too much detail later. Guan Jing is portrayed as a very affectionate second male lead. Simply put, he falls in love with the female lead because she hands him a handkerchief.

(Will he fall in love with you, the host?)

(Could this be the kind of thing humans say, where everyone else hates him, but the female lead is his savior?)

Guan Jing wanted to invite Xi Xinxin and Jiang Moli to lunch, but Xi Xinxin declined. She found it inexplicable that they were being so overly familiar.

(Host, is this how you treat Xi Dai and the others?)

After being rejected, Guan Jing was as dejected as an abandoned puppy. He listlessly returned home to find Xiao Mi frantically scratching at the sofa. A bad feeling crept over him, and the next moment his mother's scream rang out: "Aaaaaah! My sofa!"

Having already been rejected and now kicked out of his home along with his cat and luggage, he sighed and rubbed against his kitten: "From today onwards, we'll be living alone."

Guan Jing wasn't annoyed; after all, it was time for him to be independent. His family didn't like pets and didn't support his hobby. He was actually an online musician with many fans. He didn't sing; he wrote sheet music. Many singers wanted his compositions, but most were electronic music. Few singers wanted to buy those. He mostly did instrumental music.

The rest is all for making a living; it seems he needs to find a place to live. He paused, holding Xiaomi's hand, and picked up his phone to dial a family number: "Mom? You forgot to throw my electric guitar out for me."

Guan Jing didn't have any real-life friends. When he ran into Xi Xinxin, she turned and ran away. At that moment, he secretly vowed that if she came back, he would try to communicate with her.

She's back. But she doesn't seem to like him. Are high school students these days so difficult to communicate with?

I opened my phone and started looking for highly-rated neighborhoods nearby.

Today, Xu Chacha's study group gained another member, Ji Nianya, recommended by Xi Dai. She now has a new goal. Since Xin Xin put these people in the same group, she wants them to get along well. This way, she won't put Xin Xin in a difficult position. After all, she's her younger sister. She should act like an older sister and not bother Xin Xin with everything.

Xu Chacha had no objections, after all, Ji Nianya was very good at science and might be able to help her. Besides, Ji Nianya couldn't stay with her all day like Xi Dai. She and Yu Shuwen both had other plans.

She usually parted ways with Xi Dai around dinner time. This allowed her to understand Xi Dai more deeply. She knew that although Xi Dai didn't express the same level of concern for Xi Xinxin as they did, she was always thinking about her.

Perhaps, like her, they all hoped to be able to help Xi Xinxin at least sometime in the future. Yu Shuwen was the least talkative among them. Her personality was too gentle. But even Xu Chacha couldn't help but shake her head when she thought about the contrast in Yu Shuwen's demeanor when she woke up.

She and Yu Shuwen are still collaborating. They're working together to create a flawless gift for Xi Xinxin.

What worries her most now is Mei Qing. When she first met Mei Qing, she was shocked; how could someone be so beautiful? Like a fragile glass doll, yet always exuding a delicate charm. No wonder such a person attracts men's attention.

Xu Chacha slammed her hand on the table. "Hmph! No matter how beautiful she is! She must be my best friend in the world!" Then she sat down and pondered: "Maybe I should marry Xi Xinxin abroad?"

Seeing Xu Chacha's unexplained reaction, Xi Dai's eyes flashed with doubt. Should she check if studying would make people stupid?

The first semester is drawing to a close, and the college entrance examination is just around the corner next semester. Students are starting to feel nervous. Especially since this final exam could very well be the key to their college entrance examination results.

Xi Xinxin didn't find any of her classmates in the exam room. She found her seat and sat down to wait for the teacher to distribute the exam papers. Then she heard whispers behind her. In the quiet environment, their conversations were crystal clear.

"Hey, the students in the class next to you must be doing very well. Think of a way to help them."

The two students didn't notice the teachers who had arrived earlier. One of the teachers had previously knocked on their desk as a warning.

The only sounds in the classroom were the ticking of the alarm clock and the rustling of students flipping through their test papers. Xi Xinxin glanced at the questions, and the answers immediately came to mind. She carefully reviewed all the answers she had written, keeping her score consistent. It was the same as before; maintaining a similar score was sufficient.

One subject ended. Xi Xinxin saw Xi Dai and the others intensely discussing the topic, and she felt it was somewhat unreal. According to the plot, these girls would never be able to have a harmonious discussion together, and at this point in time, they would all be destitute, scorned by everyone, forced to drop out of school, or lose all hope in life.

Fortunately, none of these things happened.

Xi Dai spotted Xi Xinxin at the door first and waved at her: "What are you standing there for! Come on over here!"

Xi Xinxin knew what she wanted to do from now on. In this world, she didn't need to worry about money, so she decided to open a shop to help others. Inside, there would be hot coffee, beautifully decorated desserts, and a wall covered with encouraging words. She would change the color scheme to a warm and lovely orange-pink.

She fills her room with lighthearted fairy tales, or listens attentively to their stories. She asks for nothing in return, only hoping that lost souls can find help. Even if it's just one person, it's all worthwhile.

No sooner said than done. Xi Xinxin was a woman of action. She immediately began searching for a suitable shop. This shop had to be large.

She can make coffee; it feels no different from preparing medicine.

(The host is different)

Who?

She also wants to hire a pastry chef.

Of course, before decorating the shop, she needed to draw up a design plan herself. There were very few vacant shops on the street. Even after finding a satisfactory location, the shop wasn't big enough.

She wouldn't open her shop in a flashy location, where only onlookers would come in. Nor would she open it in a secluded corner. Instead, she'd choose a spot where the last rays of the setting sun can reach.

The results weren't so quick. Exam results were out, but Xi Xinxin still hadn't found a suitable job.

Xu Chacha once again topped the list. Compared to her initial nervousness and trepidation, she confidently tossed her hair and approached Xi Xinxin, seeking praise. Everyone's grades were very stable, and their homeroom teacher said that if they continued on this path, most of their class would be able to get into prestigious universities.

Happy for her, Mei Qing said she had made new friends and was gradually emerging from the shadows. A busy period seemed to have ended, and she began her vacation. Xi Xinxin wasn't in a hurry to find a shop. She was drawing up design sketches. But she felt something was missing. A sense of art.

Should I trouble Yu Shuwen, or should I ask her?

After the holiday started, they rarely gathered at Xu Chacha's house anymore, mostly chatting in the group chat, though they would occasionally plan to go out. But for some reason, all four of them were very busy. Xi Xinxin didn't want to bother them.

She plans to take the design drawings and visit various shops to observe them.

Guan Jing also went out at this time, and coincidentally, they met at the entrance of the residential area. Guan Jing believed that this must be the first step in God's solution to his inability to communicate with people. He tightened his grip on the electric guitar on his back, intending to greet her. However, Xi Xinxin simply smiled and nodded at him before walking on.

Guan Jing wanted to say something, but he didn't know how to start a conversation, so he slowly followed behind Xi Xinxin.

Why are you following me?

"I'll go this way too."

Guan Jing followed Xi Xinxin silently. He was a head taller than her, and anyone who didn't know them would think they were older brother and younger sister taking a walk. In fact, Guan Jing was already racking his brains trying to think of a topic to salvage his social situation.

"You're going out too?"

Xi Xinxin turned to look at him as if she had seen a ghost: "Think about what you asked yourself."

Guan Jing fell silent again, continuing to follow behind Xi Xinxin. Xi Xinxin knew Guan Jing meant no harm, but she didn't understand what he was thinking. She figured he'd stop following her after a while, so she pretended no one was behind her.

Guan Jing saw that she went to different shops without lingering, and he knew what to ask! He took a step forward, about to speak, but was interrupted by another voice.

"Xi Xinxin!!!"

What a furious, teeth-gritting sound. Unsurprisingly, it was Wu Mingze again. Last time, because they failed to catch him, he was so angry he couldn't sleep all night, but he didn't want to blame his buddies. He never expected to run into them again. They were at the internet cafe today, and he mentioned seeing a hateful figure.

"Dude, isn't her name 'Instant Noodles'?"

Xi Xinxin was also a bit overwhelmed. She regretted coming to this internet cafe to check out the decor.

"Screw instant noodles, she's Xi Xinxin!" Wu Mingze was about to ask his buddies to do something for him when he noticed someone behind Xi Xinxin. He shuddered.

This person has shoulder-length hair, with a small portion of their bangs tied back, a lip piercing, cyberpunk-style clothing, and what appears to be several earrings. What's that on their wrist? A tattoo! Their eyes look so fierce, could it be? Did Xi Xinxin hire some thugs to do the fighting for her?

It seems it wasn't a coincidence that they met, but rather that Xi Xinxin had sensed his intentions last time and sent someone to take revenge.

His buddies swallowed hard: "Brother Ze, this guy's got a big hammer on him too."

Guan Jing: "That's not it."

"Brother Ze, how about we forget about it? Honestly, it's pointless to argue with a woman."

Guan Jing: "No, this is electricity..."

"Stun Gun, damn it, Ze Ge, this guy carrying instant noodles isn't that ruthless!"

Wu Mingze himself was a little nervous. He wasn't really confident in dealing with a tough guy like him; what if he beat himself half to death? No amount of money could fix that. But he couldn't lose face. If he lost face, he would truly lose everything. He coughed twice, feigning concern: "Xi Xinxin, from today onwards, I'm letting you go. Heh, thank me for my great kindness. Let's go!"

Someone leaned closer and asked, "Where's Ze-ge going?"

"Shut up, we're not playing today, let's go home."

Guan Jing was impressed but confused; it turned out Xi Xinxin knew such a spirited high school student. He was just a bit of an idiot. He was clearly carrying an electric guitar. However, the backpack was stuffed with other parts and such, making it look more bulging than usual. It shouldn't be mistaken for a giant hammer.

Next time, I'll get a new backpack.

I almost forgot the question he was about to ask: "Why did you just come in and not buy anything?"

"Hmm, I'd like to see the interior design."

Actually, after looking through them, Xi Xinxin didn't find any eye-catching designs. They were either common or overly colorful. What she wanted was something comfortable, warm, and refreshing. However, she still roughly knew where she was lacking.

"I think that sometimes decorations can better show the effect you want than interior decoration."

Xi Xinxin's eyes lit up. That's right, she could start with decorations.
